Correctly pointed out. It was known as ALSD and used to be the only good law school in Delhi before NLU-D came about. The last batch passed out in 2022 and it was closed after that. Now only Amity Noida remains
Lets also talk about how SLS is the only college with no external exams in 5th year so students can focus on getting a job. This offers a lot of flexibility.
Good or bad, you made your bed, now peacefully lie in it without worrying about things which you cant change. Focus on the opportunities that pop up in present and plan for them. This will save you a lot of unnecessary overthinking and help you get productive.
All this is drama and trying to look good after firing people after hiring recently. They've lost face big time and lost most of their associates to Trilegal after torturing them.
I have heard that there are a few Delhi seniors who take 10% of a clients divorce alimony or 10% from the sale of a suit property is this true
SAM seems to have increased the pay by 1L. Was this recently announced for the 2023 batch or was it 16L for the 2022 batch also?
For our college, Argus offered a CTC of 15L in the Delhi office, 16L in Mumbai and 14L in Kolkata. However, no breakup between variable and fixed pay was provided.
How does the Ahmedabad office of CAM hire? Through college cell or lateral process? There is not much info about CAM Ahemdabad online. Would be great if you could shed some light to it
Hey guys, how is the scene at most of the newer NLU's? I'm a clat aspirant and i came across information that NLU's were recently opened up at meghalaya and Tripura.

I wanted to know how the scene is at NLU's like Nuals, NLU-O, TNNLU, DSNLU etc.
Better is one thing. But which is more likely to get me a PPO? Given that I'm a non NLU kid, though from a remowed govt college
Except DRT and NCLT (and I think RERA tribunals as well), they can't appear before courts.
You need to correct your research. NLUO placements in 2023 have been fantabulous with multiple T1 offers.
No idea about these guys and their backgrounds but working in a melting pot of cultures like London is bound to develop you hollistically, no questions about that.
bassi will outearn you. he is already doing bollywood movies. nobody cares a rat's ass about an llm from stanford. it's not GSB buddy
Clearly no one who has ever worked at Kocchar has anything bad to say - this post would be inundated with comments otherwise.
Ask your juniors. They are the ones worried. NLS will eat their jobs. You can choose to deny it
I have had my observations yes. But I am not insecure like you who will write the same thing again and again. Just because you didn’t make it to NLS doesn’t make it a bad college lmao
Omg it has been mentioned so many times. If you are talking about then you know what I am talking about. And batch rank? Dude you are still a kid. Even tier-3’s best topper can’t match tier 1’s low ranked student. So please be quiet
SLs-P is a very steady law school and I expect stability now that I want to perform my best.
Fairly certain KCo doesn't offer any bonus to A0s. Would love to hear the opinion of current A1s working there.
It's so obvious that this is a shadow game related to Mahua's criticism of Adani. She is continuing with her attacks and said that she has rejected Gautam Adani's offer of backchannel talks.
Please share the names of non toxic partners at Trilegal Bangalore basis your own personal experience. Also, work wise who is really doing good deals in the PE/Acquisition across sectors.
Because apart from academics there are no fixed parameters on which firms will hand out a PPO. So the usual gradation points are based on publications(moots no).
The person who I mentioned was rank 260/280 in his batch. Yet he is in a good position today. So I am not talking about just the toppers, they would do well anywhere.
This is pure ring information. Kindly stick to a tier 1 college here. It’s better than those options you have. Aberdeen? Please no
Last year it was 15.6

The other threads on LI says the same that this year it will be 15.6. hence. No increase.

Check bar and bench article too on kco 2022 salary.
Do senior advocate know all laws or just they rely on their team for briefing and just go and speak efficiently in front of the judge.

Do they research or just oratory skills
Your response is so self-defeating 😭

Bhai bolte hain compare nahi karo, aur phir baatein dekhlo inki...
It differs from college to college. Usually, first division is above 6.5/7; first division with distinction is 8/8.5 and above.
RMLNLU has been doing good for a while now. Increasing participation in international moots + qualifications. Wouldn't say it has the best mooting record, but definitely upcoming.
Apart from ALL Government jobs

Bank job (9-5), Engineers (Sat sunday off and other days leave by 6 pm), Tier 2 firms, Any advocate, magic circle lawyers, AORs, Doctors after a few years (except some emergency related fields), chemists, scientists, Even HFT Firms guys.
I understand not many litigation people here but what is the convention regarding fee of court clerks. I have heard that they charge upto 50% of the advocate's fee. Does that mean the clerk is earning in lakhs per hearing if they are at the correct place?
MBA is costlier but better for getting a job in the US.

I keep stating ad nauseum LLM is not a qualifying degree on its own, so legal jobs in a different jurisdiction (to where you did your LLB or qualifying law degree) is always difficult to get.
JGU allows only one semester abroad to a student throughout their stay. Additionally, there are summer schools and pathways programs one can avail.
Final Placement Stats for Batch of 2023

Trilegal - 5 (through Placement Drive)

SAM - 1 (PPO)

LKS - 1 (PPO)

CAM - Interviewed. Yet to roll out offer.
No, only fifth years are allowed to go on exchange. This wasn't the case before (I've heard people used to go on exchange from the third year onwards), but it is now.
Didn't know that NLUs follow UK norms now. Did you leave your sense of logic behind during that exchange programme?
Man, you don't know what the corporate lawyer lifestyle actually is, especially in law firm! They'll squeeze you till last drop of your blood sucks!
So your only claim to fame is that you are better than people who nobody believes to be good either? Sounds about right for MNLU-M.
Don't rely on Linkedin posts. Unless official placement data has been released.
The growth picture looks rosy because the baseline was so bleak. So any increase is being portrayed as amazing. Please learn a little bit of economics.
A Lot of PG / Hostel for working guyz in Noida + Flats too but high chance is on sharing basis. Many KCOs or other firms kids prefer PGs single room coz no tension of food+maintenance+safety bla bla bla. After 2-3yr shift to new rented flat
The 3rd Year kid can just do a Masters from Dartmouth with scholarship after graduation. Much better return on investment.
Is there any student who has done it every year? How will the regular courses even be covered then? And if not covered, how will they get their Indian degree?
It is a school. Not a college. Says so right in the name. If it is not parody, then you are under the influence of some good s**t. Please name your supplier.
Ooh, 1 student out of a batch of 80 plus in all these years. And how is this any different from someone graduating from an NLU and doing an LLM from Harvard with scholarship, like so many people do every year? In fact, the latter is much better in every parameter.
Such amazing reasons for choosing your place of education! Much wow! I dub thee parasite.
The part about any UK university being inherently superior is simply not true. I have seen plenty of people who have studied at an UK university and still remain completely clueless about education.
This is as trollish as it gets. The lawyer mentioned has no connection whatsoever with NUJS. If anything, he is an NLSIU grad.
That is until a new lab will be built as part of the vertical extension of the current academic building.
No, that's completely inaccurate. I have got my entire NUJS fees other than hostel as SBI loan without any collateral.
Okay. I am sure you are heading a successful law school in this country on your own. Best of luck!
This forum is full of NLUD junior students moonlighting as trolls. They are like bed bugs coming out of woodwork.
Savarkar merits very little mention. He only gets glorified by BJP RSS who were not there at all during the freedom struggle.
Veritas Legal, Mumbai - 15-16L. Lower variable component, but heavier increments every year.

Shame they barely have any vacancies.
In national moots, it's NLUO without any doubts. They are doing good for a long time now.
Sorry but the pass percentage of executive is close to 9% and with each new syllabus introduced, the pass percentages are getting lower
"Get virtual internships with boutique or T2 firms."

Would appreciate if you could drop some names, firms don't seem keen on entertaining virtualships unless you come through reference.
Bold and might I say condescending assumption right there. Some do give their best but struggle to make it to the top 5%.
And is unfair use of power and exploitation, when one person is in no position to defend themselves alright? The people being publically shamed have earned the disgust geld by others towards them by their own wrongdoings. It's high time these things came to light.
I have heard that final year students in SBA have been fined as well and awarded hostel suspensions after being thrashed by their juniors. Didn't know why such people from the ▮▮▮ batch of final years have been a part of SBA.
JGLS should be RB Leipzig, pure money, max hate from everyone else, still no match for BVB and Bayern

NLU Shimla: Blackburn Rovers FC, tried to be giant killers, failed and now unheard of
Ye Kadva Sachh hai :

Law Firms for NLUs

Litigations for Non-NLUs

Govt. Jobs for Both
For me Raj. & Haryana is only best state in terms judicial service in India. Number of JOs are here who had cleared DJS but refused to join & continued in respective.

Will share why everyone prefer RJS or HJS over other
Mumbai , I was interviewed by a associate who was clearly not interested .

They give chances to everyone, but no one gets the internship . Just don’t have high hopes that’s all .
How is Assam Judicial Services? Can anybody working in assam judicial services tell me whether 2ndNPJC has been implemented?
I know there are 2 candidates from NUJS: Rank 37 and another 300 something.

But I haven't heard from other NLUs this time. Usually there is always someone from NLUD, NLS, NALSAR and RMLNLU. Does anyone know any other names?
Sorry for the lack of a better way to say this but the firm has ▮▮▮

A more dignified option would have been to let this thread slide and die down, but by responding in such a petty manner, they've worsened their image more than what any negative review can do.
I wanted to know about its placements, administration, faculty and student culture.
You should replace RML with NLUO, they have much better placements. RML is good only for judiciary and being unemployed
Completely agree with you on this.

I am an A1 now, but the last year was very taxing simply because the accountability, expectations, and responsibilities as an associate are multifold (in comparison to an intern).

Its super important to keep an open mind.
Any freshers joining the ahmedabad office or is working with the ahmedabad office?

haven't been to ahmedabad before and would love some guidance on the city, cost of living etc
saraf still handing out PPOs? I heard there's hiring freeze at saraf.
You don't have to lol. Unless it's biglaw in the US - A WHARTON MBA IS THE MOST VALUABLE POSESSION
He has fees of 14-15 lakhs per appearance so I think it should be more than that
NLU-D has sent more people into BUSINESS SCHOOLS than LAW SCHOOLS. Far more prestigious
I don't know about AIIMS but EVERY SINGLE DAY IITs boast about producing UPSC Aspirants. Heck , infact ET AND THE TELEGRAPH makes headlines about them repeatedly.
Hey I have a genuine question. Do you people pour chutney inside the Dosa or you guys eat it separately?
As you mentioned , YOU have not got offers yet from tier-1 in UK, maybe change to Tier-1 in Uk when you eventually get them. But for now , settle in Nalsar. This will be better than Sussex at least.
Go to Nalsar. Better to study at a Tier-1 in India , rather than having a UK degree with no respect. And if USA is your main aim , then also complete your degree here only.
All characters and events depicted in the above comment are entirely fictitious. Any similarity to actual events or persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.
It's not about math but developing analytical skills which are clearly lacking in law graduates. And it's a fact. Their curriculum is designed that way
