Hey, wanted to know how much do designated senior counsels across the country charge for a matter (Legal opinion/per effective hearing/discussion)
Not a good starting point at all. It is so outdated that you won't be able to get any of those senior counsel anymore - e.g. Ram Jethmalani dead, Indu Malhotra on the bench & retired. Sandeep Sethi for 2.5-3.3? LOL, you wish. Multiply it by a factor of 3.

Should have referred to the thread about how much senior advocates make.
Senior Advocate Aravind Datar,

Fees - 10L (minimum) per Hearing excluding all other costs. Per year he will be making atleast 25 crore.
25Cr is too moderate an estimate. Misleadingly low tbh. If we go by your number only of 10L, Datar arguing 250 hearings in a year would make that much (and this is not taking into account any other form of income- conferences, settling briefs etc.). I am sure he is paid for more hearings in a year, among other sources of income.
Waiting for the guys who debated "judgment" versus "judgement" to tell us if "counsels" is correct or not.

Delhi - depending on the forum, you can get a good senior for 5-25 L per hearing for the SC / HC. MR, Dr should be around the upper end of this band. HS, GS, etc... may be substantially higher.
Most of the newly designated seniors appear for a lakh in the Delhi high court and Supreme Court
