If you're looking for internships (caveat: which may or may not convert), try targeting months other than Nov-Dec and May-June (more crowded because of sem breaks), try finding email IDs of HR rather than the generic ones that send automated emails. Call up places and ask whether they have vacancies. Law firms can be tough but anything else is achievable! You got this. It requires patience but something will turn up eventually :)
It shows the priorities of the Vice-Chancellor. The university spent 35 lakhs on the convocation, there was no need for lights for a week. Previous convocations have been conducted in less than 15 lakhs. An increase in the frees should have been utilised in the improvement of academics, and infrastructure rather than buying cars and music systems.
My issue is that i do not think I can deal with the stress of working at the place, i have been here for 3 full months and it feels like deadlines never end and i never get any time to myself. on top of that, i feel like i am not doing a great job with the tasks i am assigned and feel like i might not be cut out for law at all. Does anyone have any advice on what I can do? or am i just being a coward and the correct answer is to accept this and suck it up- to stop complaining basically
I'm currently one week into my internship at this IP law firm which doesn’t offer much work, they take in interns only through contacts though. I'm eager to make the most of this opportunity and increase my chances of getting a callback or PPO here.
Does anyone have advice on how I can get more work and responsibilities during my internship? Is there anyone who was able to get a call back here? Any inputs/advice would be appreciated.

TIMES OF INDIA: BHOPAL: National Law Institute University (NLIU), a top law school, is in the midst of controversies with the sacking of two professors, allegations of financial irregularities and another section of faculty members demanding setting up a commission to review its working as statutorily required under the law.
Trouble began in the premier law university last week when two senior professors, Prof. G S Bajpai and Associate professor Dr Moin Mustazar were 'removed' by the executive council for allegedly awarding marks to three Ph D students without evaluating their answer sheets.
1) Salary given to an A0, A1 and A2
2) How is the work culture?
Wadia no discount for sure
To clarify: A0 is 10 including a 3 lakh bonus. For sure subsequent ranks would also follow the pattern. Utter bullshit
Tere Ganloo ko Yale of the East ka status de denge.
But the biggest advantage of NLUD over any other NLU comes due to the locational advantage and the accompanying benefits that advantage comes with.
See, if you're 1000% sure that you don't want to do anything else in your life other than corporate law firm job, you should probably go for NUJS, NLUJ etc. That's all that there is in those NLUs.
But if you want to keep your options open - be it litigation, academia, UPSC, Judiciary, CAT, higher studies, Politics, etc - the best place for you will be NLUD. Not even NLS can provide you with such a pool of open options.
Remember, even for corporate law firm jobs, you need to intern a lot. NLUD provides you with its full campus space even during vacations so that you can comfortably intern in Delhi/Noida/Gurugram. The metro station is 200 metres from our back gate. (Not to mention, we've an entire market, liquor store, Vegas Mall, and a PVR at the exact same distance of 200 metres).
Because of its location, you can easily pursue UPSC, Judiciary, CAT coaching if you want to. You can easily intern with a firm or chambers all months of the year (post class model). You anyways get 4 internship slots in a year. Add to that your post class months and you can pretty much equip yourself with the best experiences possible.
We've had Rhodes Scholars from NLUD over the years, even last year's. We've had people clearing Upsc and judiciary every single year. We've had a student who became an MP. We've had people joining foreign law firms. Our exchange program abroad is strong.
TLDR; if you want to keep your options open while at the same time securing a corporate law firm job, go for NLUD. If you're 1000% sure that you'll only do a corp law firm job and nothing else, go for other NLUs.
Hope this helps!
Does GSB have LLB? Was that a mandatory requirement for NLUD VC position? Many had protested when Lizzie was selected for TNNLU but she had the foresight to have completed a LLB degree at some point during her stint at NLSIU.
MKS did his LLB after doing LLM at Nottingham. In UK (and maybe elsewhere as well) having an LLB is not mandatory for LLM. Preferred, yes. But MKC had a PhD in International Relations from JNU and a body of work and that was deemed good enough for LLM entry.
Also if there is a difference between the pay for Corporate team and the DR team.
I'll be starting as a long term intern at LKS in Delhi. Can someone tell me about the compensation they offer? I heard they have increased the base amount but don't know if it has been implemented or not. Also, what does bonuses look like at LKS?

What is the fact? Does anyone have the correct information?
Only VC, his PA, his driver, and his favourite faculty are competent in running the university.
As far as Placements go, the percentage of students getting placed will remain the same in all top 3 NLUs.

To answer you question, people need money which is why they moved out. And yet MS refuses to change his ways.
International... Many.
Afaik that's the conversion followed for a 10 point GPA scale.

As someone who regularly visits Calcutta and knows Bengal well, it breaks my heart to see how things are. Calcutta, once a top-tier city, has been dragged into disgrace by corruption and poor governance. The rest of Bengal, from what I’ve seen, is in a pretty bad state too. The abject poverty all around is gut-wrenching.
I wouldn’t be surprised if most people in Krishnanagar don’t even know who Darshan Hiranandani is, let alone make an informed decision based on his confession.
I urge every twiiter/ IG supporter of Saket Gokhale or Mahua Moitra to actually visit West Bengal or even Kolkata for that matter.
Spend some time there and see for yourself what’s really going on before propping up the likes of Derek, Saket, or Mahua.
Just because they screech in English doesn’t mean that they are right!
I was really curious as to what are the qualifications Trilegal looks for in order to select a student? How good was your CGPA in college? What were your qualifications? How did you present yourself in the interview?
I'm sorry if I bothered you too much. I was just curious since I'm in my final year of law school now.
Then in Quant, Just focus on Arithmetic and Nothing else. If you get 6/7 out of 9/10 arithmetic questions right then it will get you around 90%ile.
For Reasoning, solve more and more Mathematical reasoning based Puzzles and Arrangements sets. You should solve like 2-3 sets daily atleast. Watch Anastasis Shankar videos on YT for learning the approach.
For mocks, would recommend IMS and CL. Their proctored mocks are really great. Try giving 1-2 per week.
All the best.
I just graduated from a top private law school and have some solid experience from international and tier 1 internships. I'm on the lookout for an associate role at a law firm that offers a decent salary. Can you suggest any boutique firms that are hiring fresh grads? Thanks a bunch!
PS - just don’t tell anyone in office (especially seniors) that you have non veg here and it will be fine.
How much time before the 3L lads realise that they have ended up becoming the lalas that they once despised? Authoritarian, non-democratic and egotistical. Sad, really.
Dont get sttessed out by seeing your peers getting reputed internship at big firms.
Stick to boutique firms plan.
Work like as an associate.
Never make yourself feel that your are just intern and its not your responsibility.
Impress seniors at work by beleiving in their workstyle.
Its my 4th year at tier 3 nlu without any contact but yes i am proud of the internship which i have earned.
But this news pales in comparison to the rumoured move of one of the best M&A partners (+ 3 partners who work with him) out of CAM since Ashwath’s departure to neighbours AZB. SJV going further down the road to join KCo may not make sense unless he’s got a leadership position, which he must have yearned for at CAM, but didn’t get even post the recent equity partner rejig.
Hope the message to the firm is loud and clear - reward your top performers, loosen the purse strings or risk losing even more of the talent that continues to remain with the firm. Interesting times ahead.
I can also list worst IHL Professors in India as well.
I also read about a farmer's daughter who failed in 11th and recently became a deputy collector: https://www.hindustantimes.com/education/daughter-of-farmer-who-once-failed-in-class-11-becomes-deputy-collector-comes-6th-in-mppsc-examination-101717765177728.html
