JSA internship portal has been shut since the beginning of this year. Any idea how to send internship applications for 2025?
Why would I want to do that? I have (a) not done anything wrong (unlike Hamas); and (b) not expressed idiotic views either! Address the question: are these arm-chair intellectuals willing to do that or not?
If your English is to be relied upon as an indicator, the term 'average' is a definite overstatement. For Christ's sake, 'abroad top university'?
This is surprising to hear because ICUL Funds team has always been about their strong balanced leadership which continues to be the case. How does one otherwise explain their ever-growing team and market strength?
NLU guys posting here tend to forget that Prof (Dr) Rajkumar, the VC of JGLS, is a Rhodes Scholar.
few clients, thus low billings plus he has a bias for a trained associate pool from tier 2 firms.
How is the team right now? I am an A0 and very much interested in projects. I also have an offer from KCO.
SLS iss list mein bhi nhi aya..! Hey bhagwan, India Today ki ranking ke alawa, he colg kisi aur ranking mein kab ayega!
Hi - How is this team at CAM? Does great deals but I am told that lot of people have left due to toxic work culture.
As a funds lawyer, you have a special skillset. Startups will be looking to hire mostly
Could you please give me like am explanation for choosing rmlnlu...?

I'm quite confused
How is the work culture in Hufriz Wadia and Anand Shah's team? Any insights are appreciated

Lol. LKS Associate Partner (8 years atleast) salary seems between A0/A1 salary of any Tier 1.
Not hiring - tried to offer a 1 year internship with no conversion guarantee. Avoid.
bhai taxguru hai, taxmann hai, just google and read the law ain't that hard to figure out. PS:- abhi iss saal all professionals and businesspeople are by default in the new regime, you need to fill a form to choose to go the old regime
Tax guy here, many people extort money in the name of the officers, most officers are ready to comply for a few lakh rupees here and there, they even accept consultants giving write draft appeal/revision orders if it is a "settled" case
You'll learn on the job. No one is expected to know everything. If you have any doubts whether what is supposed to be done, just ask them to clear the air. Don't overthink, no one really cares.
This is one practice area where there is more demand and less supply but highly restricted options for lateral switching
> I'm extroverted and I find joy in arguing and debating the finer points of an abstract theory.

You're not getting to do any of that working in T1 firms. Rather, your work would be even more monotonous than as a programmer.
I mentioned it only because OP has claimed only NLS had managed to get PSUs to recruit from campus previously. I am not from NUJS myself, so I don't know about their existing placement scene. Nor do I think the legal jobs in these PSUs to be anything special.
No offense, but weren't NLU kids supposed to be "job creators"? Why this euphoria on becoming a mass-job-seeker?
Last year, IREDA (Indian Renewable Energy Department Authority) recruited from NLIU, Bhopal with a CTC of 22 lac. In 2022, TRAI recruited from NLIU.
That is certainly one thing you could be doing. Another would be to develop your publication/conference presentation portfolio. Present your work at conferences, that's another way of developing your academic network.
Isn't ICUL Funds team thrice the size of KCo's funds team with no lateral attrition whatsoever??
The work culture is good and better than most firms in bombay. The pay is not at par with other T1's but you dont sell your soul. Attrition rate is lower than the others.
What's the pay structure at SAM, bangalore? Also opine about the culture and hours
It's decent but would still advise DU. It's expensive (if you're gen/obc) and the location is problematic. On the upside, campus life is amazing and profs are generally good.
Wow......the ₹2.8 Cr that WBNUJS spent is a roundoff error for NFSU with a funding of ₹2254 crores. The difference in scale is ginormous.
It feels a little weird to publicly gossip about the firm right after they had a really pleasant induction. They didn't have to, you know? Could have pulled a CAM. The food was quite nice :) We don't have too complain about everything.
bakre ko halal karne se phele bhot khilaya jata hai and bhot khatir dari hoti hai
Based in cut offs, doesn't MNLUM come after GNLU?, We currently dont have NIRF ranking due to lack of a permanent campus.
Please refer UGC Website and IIULER Website to know how IIULER is deceiving people - Will you be able to study in a University after paying 12 Lakhs per annum without even a single remote Database access or atleast a good physical library?
And the thing is that the fees by Jindal is 2-3 Lakhs lesser than what IIULER is charging!
Correct. Quite evident who is leaving. Two more less players in the cricket team.
Yes, NLSIU was initiated by NR Madhava Menon and taken place when Karnataka Government passed an Act in 1987 to take up NLSIU

BCI does not do anything. The only thing BCI done is by giving approval to the Five Year Integrated LLB which was first initiated at NLSIU!
I recently joined a lawfirm where they were specific to say that I'm working as a consultant and not an employee. What is the difference and why do law firms do this?
Yes, the facilities did not have coordination with each other. They are not having the helping mentality. Moreover, more than 5 Law faculties left IIULER within a period of one year (June 2023 to June 2024)
This entire cabal of NLU fans including the admin on this platform is so spooked by the fact that NFSU has a funding of ₹2254 crores, that every post mentioning it is marked trollish.

Why so scared?
Yes for LLB, it's Rs 12 Laksh per annum (including residential fees). For LLM, it's Rs 10 Lakhs per annum (including residential fees)

You will not get any facilities including database! They did not even have atleast one single remote Database access!
Yes, it was updated in May 2024. Before that, in the brochures of 2022 and 2023, they did not mention the same. Moreover, till date, IIULER never specifies its status as a Private University under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act anywhere in their website!
Isn't BSc-LLB WBNUJS in its second batch as well? No good faculty, and no alumni, so no job prospects as on date. Depending on NFSU for expertise and infrastructure. No in-house capability. Even worse, no?
No, only Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore comes within below 500 ranks in QS World Rankings and Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking
Have you ever learned or been taught to read? If not, I recommend you urgently take some classes. The previous comment clearly said 'trying'. The word 'trying' isn't a synonym of 'succeeding'.
I am the one who made the comment marked "trollish". Now we know why my comment is spot on. The bias, frustration, and jealousy are all too evident on this platform. Here you have to say only good things about selected state NLUs - else it will be trollish.
It's BCI Trust - PEARL FIRST. Actually, BCI Trust - PEARL FIRST is an independent body and is not a part of the Bar Council of India (as indicated in the official notification of 2022 by BCI - Requirements for IIULER Goa) - It's available in BCI Website
What's this? He wasn't a good teacher because he expected everyone to do the readings? Or because he didn't believe the bullshit excuses most students make up for not doing the work?
How? Front running using ratholes.

What makes you think it's not possible :|
If it can take forever for the Navi Mumbai Airport to come up, and that too it being a critical infrastructure project for the city. What hopes do you have for an insignificant law school campus to come up even in the next ten years?
I think I know who this person is. Have worked with him/her and also opposite to him/her. Seen him/her indulge in such tactics very often.
The campus is in a good social part of the city. However, any firm/company is atleast 1-1.5 hour away. Even ICUL, which has its office in Andheri, is atleast 30 mins away. So a win-lose situation. Additionally, I don’t think actual construction has started yet.
Joining as an associate this year in a T1 M&A team. What kind of work does an A0 do in T1 firms. I am bit nervous because I don’t know what is expected of me and I feel like I don’t know enough. Can some one help me out here
there are associates from other cities who have joined KCO Chennai since they pay the same as their Mumbai/Delhi/Blr offices.
It’s 100% true. Khaitan does not differentiate based on location for pay.
does it make you feel better to think everyone who disagrees with you about everything must just all be one person you dont like and evil and indifferent to human suffering? Or do you have the ability to imagine people more complexly?
Don't care about others, just wanted to point out which NLUs are in the list.
I agree. But that's not what the information is for. It's to point out that we have a corporate/industry pov ranking. So if anyone asks for corporate jobs, these NLUs are atleast known by people outside tier 1/tier 2/tier 3 rankings.
Bro is asking money to get enrolled in a school so that he can learn English properly. 1k is not that high an amount to dedicate towards a person's education. The guy can't even ask for money properly in the text. They should help him out.
This is very true. These t2 students do not come from a priviliged t1 nlu and work their asses off to get placements. The real demonstration of meritocracy.
Any idea which decent corp law firms are still hiring from 2024 batch?? As an assessment intern or trainee would do
Pls help - whether i should know all sections of a dd, all agreements everything or only dd is expected out of first year associate
I mean... Take your pick. SAM (multiple), CAM, Khaitan, Trilegal and so on in T1
At least 40 students are going for LLM, Judiciary or proper lit. Not everyone sits for placementa
Hello everyone, i would be interning in disputes team at saraf and partner, may I know about the work culture there ? Do they offer PPOs and what is the salary they offer ?
I wanted to know how are the prospects in kco wcc team ? With respect to work /culture / salary.
You absolutely need to know Kannada for litigation in Bangalore. Even cause titles / case numbers in City Civil are called out in Kannada, you won't even know your matter is up next if you don't speak it.
Avoid if possible, but if it;s your best offer available It is okayish. work is limted, hours are good tho due to lack of work.
Placement are generally good when compared with other law schools. It wouldn’t be shocking if 90% of the batch at RGSOIPL gets placed.
You reek of jealousy, my friend. Those private university kids are making 15+ LPA because they outperformed you. You could learn a thing or two from them if it weren't for your arrogance over scoring well in one entrance exam 5 years ago.
