Some teams are hard to get into. There is massive hiring in GC and Disputes. If the joining date is far, interview is gonna be tougher than when it's close. Close means they've limited time to complete the hiring.
The toughest interview to crack is of the teams where the hiring is limited to 2-4 associates at best - such as Competition, Insolvency etc.
For GC/Disputes, firm might interview 80-90 candidates and hire 50+ in each practice but for competition and suchlike, they interview up to 25 and hire 2-4.
For future....GNLU
Forever.....JINDAL
Adopting Global Best Practices:
To ensure the success of these laws, India can benefit from aligning its procedures with international standards like ISO/IEC 27037:2012 for digital evidence identification, collection, and preservation, and NIST SP 800-86 for integrating forensic techniques into incident response.
Enhancing Investigative Standards:
International guidelines such as the SWGDE Best Practices and the ASTM E2916 Standard Guide for Forensic Digital Image Processing can elevate investigative procedures involving digital evidence. The ENFSI Best Practice Manual and the US DOJ's Electronic Crime Scene Investigation guide can also serve as valuable frameworks for India.
Consistency across Jurisdictions:
Adopting international standards like the Canadian Police College's Digital Forensics: Best Practices, Australia's Electronic Evidence Guide, and Singapore's Forensic Science Division Digital Evidence Standard Operating Procedures can ensure consistency in digital investigation practices across different states and regions in India.
Future-proofing Investigations:
By embracing dynamic international standards like the UAE's Dubai Police Cyber Crime Investigation Manual, which is regularly updated to reflect emerging technologies, India can future-proof its digital forensic capabilities and stay ahead of evolving criminal methods.
Conclusion:
The adoption of international standards for digital forensics in India can enhance the credibility and efficiency of the legal system, safeguarding citizens' rights. This proactive approach sets a precedent for international collaboration and knowledge-sharing to propel India's digital forensic capabilities onto the global stage. NFSU will play a central role in enhancing the capability and competence in rolling these out successfully. Therefore the recent funding of ₹2254 crores to NFSU could not have come at a better time.
Pretty much sums up that firm. ▮▮▮
Lot of 24 batch students who were supposed to join SAM have left and they are looking to fill the vacancy
I only wish, however, that those waving it had actually read it!
1. Academia (ofc)
2. Policy / think tanks (they see if you have conceptual clarity)
3. Research based firms like NDA value publications (min. 3 for just applying for an internship)
4. T1, T2 law firms value high quality publications, but I've seen ppl getting hired who don't have publications, but have compensated for that some other way (moots, internships, etc)
5. Litigation (depends on your senior /chamber, but not too much relevance. Moots matter more here)
6. PSU/ Govt jobs (just clear entrance/ interview with whatever basic qualifications, you'll get the job)
What can an A1/ A2 expect to do/ work hours/ salary and anything else?
Work culture, salary and overall inputs maybe? (maybe from the level of an A1/ A2)
Thanks!
Work culture, salary and overall inputs maybe? (A1/ A2 viewpoint please)
Thank you :)
Apart from my interest in Law, I also like Economics, Banking, Finance, etc. And right now, I am preparing for various Banking Sector Exams. In the future, I plan to pursue a Graduate-level education in Economics and Finance. And as far as I know, graduate-level Economics and Finance are very Math-heavy. (Generally, to pursue a Master's in Economics/Finance we should know the Undergrad Math Major Topics)
So, I want to discuss with you all how people like me who is a hardcore humanities guy can prepare for the required Math skills.
If you're someone who has followed this path or if you know someone in your circle and how they did it then comment down your 2 cents.
TIA.
( explain your situation).
First off, leaking on porn sites is a baseless one, cuz let's be honest nothing comes off of it. Secondly, as is your case, just approach a woman cell from the police station. They literally saved my life and my parents didn't know anything at all
Is there any chance? Or, is it a dud?
Who do I reach out to for the sake of clarity?
Need to know as they are coming to our college for recruitment.
The thing is that my college's placement cell is as good as not having one. My resume is not that strong either to get law firm jobs. Litigation pays peanuts where i live (delhi). There's a serious dearth of options. It's a mind numbing situation. Please suggest anything realistic guyss..
My mental health is terrible due to family shaming and reminding how miserable I am daily. So I just cannot afford a drop or sitting at home.TIA.
Isn't it illegal to hire from campus? It will bypass all fair competition norms. It excludes other college students from having a fair chance in government jobs.
Kia Motors / Amarchand can tell we prefer NLUs.
Government PSU's and Organizations are not permitted to give preference to one college over other.
IBPS, CLAT PG etc these exams are conducted to hire lawyers for PSU's.
Or these PSU's can conduct seperate tests with eligibility criteria. But this is illegal. Must be challenged.
She should take oath in original sanskrit. The language of Brahmins which was used to exclude Dalits. Sanskrit is a languages of exclusion and discrimination.
I will be an asset to your team

NOTE: Piracy is 1 million percent justified in such cases.
PS: I was from Nalsar, so they may have been biased towards that tag; can't speak either way on that.
1. In India, we don't really put a dash when using the term 'Tier 1'. Therefore, if he is pretending to have read law at an Indian university, this is a textbook example of a Freudian slip.
2. I thought we'd absorbed Americanisms quite readily into our English. The word 'mate' certainly isn't an Americanism, but is much more commonly used in informal conversation in England and Australia for sure (speaking from personal experience), and likely New Zealand as well. The Americanism equivalent of 'mate' is, from my knowledge, 'buddy' (which I have heard quite often in India) or 'my guy'. So if he was working towards a JD at Yale and used those terms, just the thing which I previously described as a 'Freudian slip' would be very slim evidence of him being educated abroad, because those terms are co-opted into our English now.
I would suggest you must continue with engineering as it is the most in demand industry. Working with any product based company gives many perks which a T1 law firm might not give. Also T1 is difficult to get into.
In a nutshell, it is difficult to assess merit in law than in engineering. You might be the topper of the batch or have excellent mooting or debating skills, but HR for no reason can reject your candidature.
You will be surprised to know that law students have to intern a lot and even getting a T1 internship is a matter of celebration. But that's not in tech, you internships are not mandatory and if it's there are paid. On the other hand mostly law internships are unpaid.
All of this happened to my friend who is from a T1 NLU. The chap is placed with another firm, but I doubt that the HR or the firm's attitude has changed much.
Don't count on their word as it doesn't mean anything. Keep a backup option lest you end up in the same situation.
Highly unprofessional firm when it comes to rolling out PPOs. No set timelines or policies.
P.S: The aforementioned approach is exactly how they dealt my friend who is from a Tier 1 NLU. Nothing wrong with the chap and he's placed with another firm. But it does tell you how Saraf which claims to be all about fairness and equity (no pun intended lol) is actaully
I interned with them in Jan 2023.
Rajiv's team: Ishaan, Tejasv, Anshuman, Agni, and Uddeshya. All of them are sweet desi mundde.
They have great work and offer unparalleled exposure. All of them are buddies and they complete work way before deadline.
FEMA, IPC, NA Act, PMLA etc.
If I hadn't been looking for career in competition, I'd have joined their team no doubt. Still in good relations with some of them.
Work culture, salary and overall inputs maybe? (specifically asking from the perspective of an A1/ A2)
Thanks!
Believe you why? youve gone and spoken to a lot of working class americans? have you spoken to ten? How do you make sense of the fact that black working class americans want stricter laws on immigration? Is it all about race? or could it be that uneducated illegal immigrants are allowed into the country by parties controlled by billionaires who want to import a slave caste that wont unionise, wont receive social security, and they want to do that instead of paying working class americans, black, white, hispanic, whatever,a higher minimum wage and health care and social security? Could it be about class?
for most working class people- they like asian/indian doctors and scientists and techies and they want to keep highly skilled people because those guys contribute to the economy and pay taxes. they figure- as long as these people are getting educated in our best institutions- why shouldnt they stay and contribute to our economy.
I dont know man- if I were a working class american, id probably believe the same things.
Why imagine people who disagree with you are racist without evidence? it could be that theyre making rational decisions for themselves.
Dusra kaon?
