As there any other such certifications like CS which can help me boost my career prospects. Thank for the help.
You can't compare Australia (NLUD) to Afghanistan (NLUO). Nluo can spew more venom because of its larger batch size but it doesn't change the fact that NLUD is miles ahead of it.
Nluo placed 39/75
Nluo could very well claim like the INDI alliance that it was a moral victory for them but statistics say otherwise. Peace out🤞
Additionally, if you’re sitting for corp - definitely be well-versed with company law, contract and TPA basics - stuff like M&A, indemnity guarantee difference etc.
Kindly have a look: https://www.legallyindia.com/convos/topic/367613-win-win-for-nluo-39-students-got-placed
2. Do they necessarily offer an internship after a successful interview or the offer is discretionary ?
{team: M/A, Corporate}
Ik it comes down how the person actually is. But that's not what I asked. Ik that.
Is it true that T1 lawyers are stressed out that it's common to resort to meds? How much does that affect the relationship?
Public Sector Undertakings for permanent jobs have to mandatorily hire through a competetive exam. It's patently illegal what ONGC is doing. Time to file a writ petition against this.
You can't Dole out permanent government job via campus placements.
Privates law firms, companies can hire however whomever they want. Government hiring has to follow protocols. A Government PSU for a permanent job has to give equal opportunity and they can't discriminate on basis of college.
NLU Delhi in the past did the same - they preferred Foreign LLM grads as faculty and authorities immidiately shut down the hiring.
Earlier SEBI used to hire via campus. Court and Government had to step in to stop the nonsense.
Thanks for the information. Will start legal action soon.
Ps: this is wrt to the internship tasks that I have allocated them. Am not very aware of their merit in moots.
the other guy is now blackmailing her with a video of them kissing. She doesn't want parents to know.
There's no sure-shot formula for getting an internship. Just try to send out personalized applications and increase the number of attempts. A lot of it is just damn luck.
You can also intern under likes of Zoheb Hussain who appear against advocates representing these law firms.
This is the most reasonable and workable way I'd say. You can also intern with small firms like wadiya, Chandhiok, etc
So in the rank of preference:
1. NLUO
2. HNLU
3. RGNUL
4. RML
You cannot accuse a listed company of scam without any basis and not expect to get sued
As law students, learn at least who to pick on. Everyone is not your hapless profs.
It is cheaper to hire trained talent laterally from small firms rather than trying to train law school grads with no knowledge but a chip on their shoulder
His arguments are impeccable
Market is growing but campus recruitment not growing - how do you explain that?
Shooting the messenger does not help
Not looking good, guys…
There is also the fact that most of the toppers in class 10th goes for science and then sits for JEE/NEET. The same is not the case for CLAT. So, yeah, cracking CLAT is not the same as getting into a CSE in a top IIT + The competition in top IITs is much more intense than that in top NLUs. Look at the suicide rates.
🦇💩🤪
Also, regarding the point about bursting crackers in the hostel corridor, what kind of a nutcase are you? You think anyone should allow bursting of crackers in hostel corridors? You are literally endangering lives, because it may lead to a fire. And if you’re one of those people who bust crackers outside Sudhir’s room at midnight, then you are a coward as well.
Learn to respect people who have achieved and learn to appreciate someone who is trying to improve the state of legal education. Stop being such a pathetic loser!
- The placements of ILS has gone downhill. - From 2023 they have shifted 3rd year batch to the afternoon slot because of which you'll not be able to do an offline internship since the college timings are from 11am - 4pm which is a major drawback.
- Additionally there are no law firms near college so one needs to travel long distance after the college hours + Pune's traffic makes it worse.
- 75% attendance criteria makes you loose on lots of opportunities. I, personally have missed lots of seminars, guest lectures etc to meet the attendance criteria set by the college.
- Very few moots are organized.
- Poor infrastructure
Kian, if you’re reading this, please do something!
This story goes back to the days when I joined a boutique firm in Delhi. All the associates (except for me) and senior associates were from some of the lesser-known law schools in the country. These people used to make such snarky comments about me that, had it been a non-professional setting, I would have broken their jaws. Their behavior reeks of insecurity in general; they lack confidence in themselves.
Before working with non-NLU people, I believed that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity. However, after working with these non-NLU people, I have changed my view. Now I believe that since we are all competing, I should do everything within the boundaries of ethics and morality to put these non-NLU people in their place. Most of them seem to have a grudge against NLU people from the first meeting itself.
Also, I have worked with NLU people also, my equation with them is different, they are not insecure, at most they are competitive in a healthy way
P.S: Insaan ko insaan ki tarah treat karo toh voh sir par chadh jaata hai
Please shed some light.
What's the procedure of Saraf PPO/ call back internships.
Associates from Saraf or LI people have any idea please to tell. It's really very important.
I recently received the following feedback on my manuscript submission:
"We regret to inform you that your manuscript has not been accepted by the Editorial Board. As per our assessment, the article is predominantly descriptive and its contribution to the existing literature is insufficient. Therefore, it has been rejected by the reviewers.
I’m struggling to understand how to improve my papers to meet the expectations of the editorial board. Any advice or resources on how to enhance the analytical depth and contribution of my research would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Trilegal, CAM JSA is the boss in Bangalore.
With this, GNLU would be able to place students not only in corp firms, litigations chambers but also in major PSUs. Only NLS before this has managed to get GAIL got campus placements. And for ONGC- Videsh also it has been an absolute masterstroke to recruit talented students from one fo India's top ranked law schools. The recruitment will take place on June end.
However, everything else is absolutely wrong. The likes of her have brought the UK system of public services - the health service, welfare benefits etc. - to its knees, and she is as guilty of demonising immigrants as Farrage. If you live in India, please either educate yourself or check your privilege. It is partly because of her that the Conservative Party has lost all credibility and is likely to experience a landslide defeat. And if you're wondering, she attempted to sabotage Liz Truss (for her own gain) by saying that Indians were the largest number of visa overstayers in this country at a key point in the UK - India trade talks back in September 2022. Please don't express uninformed opinions.
Could you recommend mid tier to niche firms that can offer incorporation advice. I am open to both for and nonprofit structures, and am scoping out firms that can produce a feasibility report on the same. Best if they are reasonably good in the field but also reasonably priced.
Thanks!
I'm currently a first year student in B. Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science from a tier III college. I wish to attain financial independence from my career and fulfilment.
Here's the snag, I'm not particularly inclined towards the Tech Industry, I'm extroverted and I find joy in arguing and debating the finer points of an abstract theory. So I thought, "Why not make a living out of it?" And thus found myself giving the MAH CET 5 year LLB exam. I scored 118-119-ish gauging from the answer key released, enough to get into GLC Mumbai. My ideal career roadmap in Law would be working in a Tier 1/2 firm.
Is this a wise decision? Will the pros of my passion, built-in aptitude for Law, the GLC tag outweigh all the negative aspects of the field? Or am I better off shutting up and getting my engineering degree?
I am looking to incorporate my project in India. I am open to both for and nonprofit structures, and am looking for legal firms that can produce a feasibility study for me on this. I would appreciate recommendations of firms that are reasonably good and whose services will come reasonably priced. Thanks!
Tu bhi 20 Lakh per hearing fees le jhaanse me aa gaya tha na???
Hai na???
Foreign firms aati hi hogi
https://www.nujs.edu/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/MOU_NFSU_WBNUJS.pdf
NFSU sits atop all of this with ₹2254 crores in the kitty (https://pib.gov.in/PressReleaseIframePage.aspx?PRID=2026704) surging ahead with its expansion, enhancement, and excellence initiative.
OP - if you truly intend to do a good BSc-LLB (H) do it from NFSU itself. It specializes in Data Science and Cybersecurity. NLIU does not have the credibility to teach cybersecurity.
There was a shift a year or two into the pandemic because NLUs couldn’t guarantee that it’s graduates could pass tough examinations and there was no mandatory attendance in most nlus.
It is undeniable that every batch that was in law school during the pandemic - except maybe the batch that graduated in 2020- had severe learning losses. And these should have been made up but administration and lazy faculty don’t really want to admit there was a problem.
What Ramanauj gets wrong is that this is going to stay this way. It might not. Some law schools are turning the tide - like nls. Other law schools are slower to move but the students will soon realise that they have to go back to hard work and resourcefulness. Many young people in these universities are desperate to learn and they do the work of reaching out to people for electives and guest lectures and they do the work of research and writing and doing and winning competitions and seeking and actually working hard at internships. Those kids will be fine. The ones who want to coast on the brand name won’t be.
It’s not actually cheaper for a firm to test and hire two hundred junior associate from a tier 2/ tier 3 firm. It’s actually easier to go to three law schools over 9 days and do interviews. They’ll go back to that if they can be sure they’ll get a reasonably well trained cohort.
