Juniors draft, research, run around for compliances, at times serve as literal secretaries doing reminding and stuff. All for nothing. Instead, when something goes downhill, these seniors have the audacity to be seething at you. Judges don't say a whisper to seniors, who are always on record, but dress down the juniors appearing.
Juniors sell their soul and dreams, seniors sit pretty.
Even though assessment internships don't provide a guarantee of employment, it is sad to see interns pay travel fares everyday for 6 months and not even getting reimbursed for that after the 6 month period is over. If you can't give a job, atleast reimburse that money. Shouldn't be too difficult when you're earning crores.
MKS would have continued in ILI. But a third term was too much of a stretch for a lightweight.
Please tell how much you make per month after tax deductions. Would be grateful if SAs, PAs, Partners could respond.
No trolls please. Thank you!
2. As much as any other corporate practice. Bonuses will depend on how many mandates your boss landed.
3. You'll pick up in two weeks.
4. LODR and run through chapter headings on a DRHP
5. Lack of a personal life, suicidal urges and a strong addiction to nicotine and substance abuse
I'm at my wit's end istg.
- take both in physical modes provided their class timings do not clash or
- take one in physical mode and the other in online/distance mode
These guidelines do not apply to Ph.D. programs, in which case you can only pursue a Ph.D. and nothing else simultaneously.
(2)Must be able to control the class
(3)Lenient grading
(4)Good feedback and exam preparation help should be offered to students
(5)Teach practical applicability of laws with simulation examples
Just read the Arbitration Act and have some sense of arbitrations pan out typically.
Fundamentals like Sections 7, 9, 11, 14, 15, 17, 29A, 33, 34, 36, 37 ... should do.
Know something worth speaking about recent judgments like Cox and Kings, Stamping 7 Judge etc.
I had one such professor, he used to take open book exams and hardly any student, who flunked his classes, were able to get good scores. Completely practical exams, no theoretical bullshit, no rote learning. If you understand the concept, you can write just 2 lines for 10 marks, and he will give you 10; write 10 page shit, he gives you 0.
Thanks.
You'll probably learn the theoretical stuff, maybe, even by yourself; but the other aspects are not so easy.
Seniors don't actively or passively want you to do well, actively or passively.
If you're lucky, they'll not sabotage you, again, actively or passively.
Money is bleak at the beginning. No guarantee as to what would be the situation, years later.
Any suggestions on how to proceed?
Cyber Law & Cyber Forensics from NLS an online course ? Are there any other online certification course in cyber law that are worth to put on CV ?

This is the second such initiative after the Directorate General of GST Intelligence (DGGI) set up five labs in Gandhinagar, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata with a funding of βΉ16 crores.
https://pib.gov.in/PressReleasePage.aspx?PRID=1994273
If you "genuinely" want to do a Ph.D., then you must be knowing that you need access to data, tools, and expertise. These labs will be the temples where you'll spend the next 4 - 5 years. You don't do a Ph.D. in thin air. It needs funding and resources. These labs can produce at least 50 Ph.Ds in the next 5 years. Now you figure it out.
Never worked with you directly, but have admired your work ethic and capabilities. Best wishes, we'll all be hyping you :)
Office gave strange vibes.
Do your DD, and ask a few past employees etc. as to what the work is like and what they do/ review about the Partners and culture.
Make your decision wisely. (I specifically refer to the Mumbai office.)
Anyone does this or know of people who do?
But a couple of weeks ago I started my internship at firm, all my co-interns were from NLUs and they are SO stupid and elitist. They are obsessed with theory/philosophy and have NO knowledge of how practical things work. They glorify corporate work which is basically just mindless slavery and they don't work for society and no respect for litigation. They only think about useless fields like M&A and other type of nonsense but not criminal or consti law which will actually help society. They are obsessedf with making connections but at the same time look down on non-NLU students and think anything they want???
Who here has had the same experiences with these NLU kids at their internships?
You'll get better pay too. Mzm pays 25k
When asked about the suicides in uni, she said none of it happened in uni. However, the first incident happened in April 2022 when the person hanged themself in their hostel room of the university. The VC even had the audacity to say that the person chose to end their life due to "weight issues".. WTF was she trying to imply by making such statements??
VC went on to say that they are giving rooms on double sharing basis to first years so that they can keep a track of each other and no one is left alone. BUT THE TRUTH IS THAT THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH ROOMS and they have cramped 2 people in rooms meant for 1 person.
The VC has guts to lie blatantly in public but not to take corrective measures. Her pathetic policies like having LLB (3 yr) course without having sufficient infra has led to all this chaos in uni. And it's even more said to see no one being able to question her when NLUO is falling in every ranking be it NIRF or NAAC.

Atleast based on the intern's comments, especially in light of other comments posted on LI recently.
Also, please comment regarding the salary issues pointed here.
Always go for an area that interests you, a field that you enjoy delving into, a subject that you can claim as your strength. Give your best without worrying about your competition (CA/lawyer/MBA) and you are bound to excel. It is great to have professionals competing with each other. Even better when professionals from different field compete with the other. Thereβs no point shying away from competition if you believe in excellence. Yes, tax is very technical and dynamic. It requires consistent learning to remain competent in the field of tax. But therein lies the charm!
Is it worth doing it then or should I join a PP instead? Might as well get trial court exposure then.

My reply - Dear sir,
Thank you for your prompt response to my application and I am glad that you could assess my application and make an offer in such short period of time. I would be delighted to work in your organization as I believe it would give me the required give me the required growth and experience to help me shape my career further However, I regret to inform that the remuneration offered is very insufficient in contrast to my exception and my current remuneration as well.
Though I believe that learning is an integral aspect of a professional pursuit and remuneration shall only be a secondary concern, however ,based on my personal interaction, I believe I have expressed my views on a sustainable compensation model as well. The salary offered from you end, unfortunately is even lower than what I drew in my first job as a fresher 8 months ago and far lower than what I am drawing currently, albeit being in a non-corporate profile. For reference, I am attaching my offer letters from my previous organizations and I strongly believe than anything below the vicinity of my current drawn salary or that of my last organization is detrimental to my economical prospects, and professional integrity. I acknowledge that it would not be reasonable to ask for a hike at-par, but still, if you can keep that in consideration, I shall be more than glad to join your organization. If required, I can be available for a personal interaction to discuss the same as well.
Thank you for your time and attention in this matter,
Regards
Adding up on his suggestions, talk to every HR, headhunter, contact, connection etc & make the switch preferably to corporate where opportunities are plentiful. One will need to start afresh but no problem, 3 years is nothing in the long run. Start in a small T2 firm where one can learn corporate transactions, agreements, deal flow & work flow. 2-3 years down the line one should be able to switch to a bigger firm with more pay. Also gauging how AI is catching up do courses on prompt optimization for GPTs, basic SQL & Python as this will be greatly relevant once AI picks up in the transaction space & automation increases. I'm literally talking to everyone contact I can find to make the switch. All the best!
Now if a law like this would've come into force prior to 2014, then the posts about RG, which BJP made viral, (for e.g., the aloo daalo sona niklega video), would have been fact checked as being a fake/morphed/stitched video and well you get the gist as to how this fact check unit will be used by future govts.
