Can I get a few more such names?
Also, is it good idea to start your practice like that?
With companies however it is a different story: The entire process may sometime last months- as much as 3-4 months, with multiple rounds of interview to eventually have the post being discarded or suddenly having a budget crisis, like how can you start interviewing someone at a certain pay and then expect them to join at a lesser salary? Why have elaborate 50 mins HR interviews then asking about the expected salary? What sort of budget do they even operate out of that cannot hold good for 3 months and also how do they expect a candidate to stick around or show commitment for that long? 4 rounds of interview with a TAT of 15-20 days between each round, like are you serious? I know a friend who interviewed for a GC position, had 9 rounds of interview, 2 of which involved flying to a different city, only to have been told that the company no longer requires a GC but would hire two juniors to take care of two jurisdiction independently. Like what?!!
Even on Linkedin you would see same job posts being repurposed for months with 200-300 applicants in each post update. Like who the fuck are you guys looking at?
We all know how job hunting weighs so much on a person's self confidence and with this shitty job market. I think it's high time we start calling out these companies on their behaviour and for wasting precious time of candidates. I see legal recruiters calling out candidates for being unprofessional for playing with multiple offers and not sitting for interviews at the last moment. In the same breath I know so many HRs at companies who just ghost you as per convenience and do not even have the decency to update you.
Rant over. Bye.
Lefties: but if you think differently you must be unquestionably evil! I wont listen and I will censor you!
Lefties: But where is freedom of speech? Where did civil debate go??
If you had not abused them and gone insane- they might have given you a job at a future date. Because you did- you have now completely burned that bridge. And Lawyers and HR people talk to each other.
Nobody owes you a job because you interviewed and waited a while. When I started my job search after law school I interned at a place for three months waiting to hear about a job interview that happened on day 1- didnt get it. Was disappointed- but did not let it ruin the relationship. They didnt owe me a job I was not qualified for because I made decisions that were bad? I left that internship, applied to other places- had another better job in 2 months, because folks from the first place served as references.
Waiting a month to hear back is actually not at all bad timeline. You NEED help. But I dont even know if therapy or anger management will help, it seems youre just a spoilt rotten person who has never had to deal with anyone professionally. ¥ou need a damn clue.

Lastly, come what may, by making such slurs, you proved their decision right.
1. Yes I have left AZB.
2. Yes I am setting up independently and will be focusing on international tax and private client work going forward.
3. Yes I am actively looking to hire, particularly if you love direct tax or are good generalists. Interns with the above profile are welcome also, but I’m only taking one or two a month. Feel free to look me up on LinkedIn for contact information + ask folks who’ve worked with me before if you’d like feedback. I’d like to think I run happy teams.
4. I’m currently pegging pay scales at a 20% discount to Tier 1 scales and interns get a 10K stipend per month. Again, pls ask if you’d like to know. Pay related questions are important and I’m happy to be upfront about them.
Mods, please make sure to clear this and feel free to get in touch if you need to verify that it’s me. Thx
I'll try keeping this as brief as possible.
I interned at Tatva for a month [between June - November, 2023] and I can honestly tell you, it was the worst experience of my life. I'm someone who comes from a middle-income family and had to shift to Hyderabad for that one month. I was eager to learn + get actual work. However, I was assigned to a team on the 2/3rd floor and that's where the issues started.
1. They gossip WAY TOO MUCH. With each other. With managers. Behind A0's back's and no work is ever completed.
2. I wasn't allotted any work despite me repeatedly asking for the same.
3. They're extremely classist and have such toxic conversations about anyone and everyone including clients.
4. The only work they give you is to print out judgements.
5. They themselves come into office by 2 pm, whereas interns are just sitting from 9:30 am.
6. I genuinely felt useless. They term it as them being a 'self reliant' team, however the truth is that they just don't trust interns with work.
All in all, it was the worst month I've ever interned. I recommend staying away and interning at a place that actually values your presence and what you bring to the table.
December 2023, We tied the Knot. OFFICE ROMANCE WORKS
you absolutely should join SLSP if you have the chance. Yes, I hear you about the online classes during internships (went through the same thing not too long ago) but honestly, you just have to handle the tough stuff sometimes. I interned at a T1 during these internship break online classes, and the professors just did not cut us any slack or give us extensions because of these internships. We stayed up late, vented and cried about it, but we managed regardless. Maybe the internal you're writing won't be the best you've ever written, but if you push yourself, it can still be a good one. In any good college, you'd have to deal with tight deadlines and stressful situations. And regardless of where you work in the future, this is a skill that you need to have. Think of this as practice.
SWC is doing its best. They're dealing with the same admin that you are, and the admin staff treats SWC worse than they treat you. They absolute do encourage mooting, if you look at the mooting achievements of your seniors this is hard to dispute. SBA may have some strict rules and unrelenting positions on some things, but you cannot deny that there are some seniors who give you an incredible amount of help with moots. Maybe your SBA appointed stategist isn't any good, but if you take the effort to approach your seniors on your own, you'll definitely find help. My seniors were the absolute best, gave me good drafting advice, took oral pleadings and helped me practice, and I did my best to pass it on to my juniors. Mooting culture isn't just what the SBA tells you it is, it's also the kind of resources (books/databases/seniors) that you have access to.
Results speak for themselves. You've told us that you've landed a really good internship for Feb (congrats on that!) and trust me, the college name helped a LOT with that. You must have gotten the internship either through the Placement Cell or through contacts, and even if it's the latter, the college name helped with that. As someone who started the law school journey without any lawyer contacts, I thought that it would be the difference between a T1 job and a T2/T3 job, but it's not. (not that T2/T3s are any less valuable). Contacts get you internships, not jobs. Beyond that, it's up to you, nepo kid or not. I'm in a T1 now, and I know this would have been almost impossible if I'd been in XYZ college. So if you get into a top NLU go for it, but SLSP is an excellent choice if not.
I'm sorry you're struggling. If you need advice about mooting/academics/internships, reach out to your seniors. They can help more than you realize. That's why things like SYMPAL exist, even if the students barely make any use of it. Good luck!

probably day 1 was hectic as retail investors were busy profit booking
In such cases over time more serious long term investors come in and hold if they have faith in the company
Also some day traders may drive price a bit up or down as companies with smaller stock have more volatility so more scope to make money from intra day swings
We should not read too much into day 1 of trading
Bribe valuation
Alcohol and escorts logistics (for officers)
I've been doing that since 2017-18.
Or just in general which practice teams in which firms usually hire more that others.

Any non quantitative jobs will be prone to go away anytime.
(1)Is it easier than other practice areas as many people say?
(2)Does it pay well ?
(3)Is it quasi-mathematical and too technical with financial terms like interest rates, stock price, etc
(4)What should be studied before going for a Capital Markets internship?
(5)What are skill sets required for a CapMark job in Tier-1 lawfirm?
The only hope is an alum VC like Sudhir.

This is not ▮▮▮. Are other firms also like this? Almost feels like a correctional facility at this point. So annoyed!
Many users of legally India recommend MBA to law graduates who do not get placed on campus. So I am asking such individuals: "Would you recommend to someone who hasn't touched any logarithm, variables, permutation , etc for 7 years?"
And I'm very sorry for not being a lawyer and using LI. Hope I'm not trolled.
