First of all, if placements were as horrifically trash as you trolls make them out to be, then you'd hear it first from students of NLUD who'd feel aggrieved by their decision to even join the place after leaving places like NUJS, NLUJ, NALSAR. Needless to say, hardly anyone feels that way because recruitments are actually decent enough for people who take it seriously. Only thing missing to make it better are alum partners across tier-1s. Otherwise, we'd easily be on par, if not ahead of, all the older NLUs. Secondly, the "100+ faculties" include all visiting faculty (and we have quite a few more than other NLUs due to our location) and even the research associates employed in all the research centres at NLUD (and we actually pay dignified salaries to grads from all your other NLUs and conduct actual quality research). So, there's no "fudged" data there, just desperate allegations for mud-slinging. Not going to work. No one is stopping other NLUs from listing their full faculty lists. Stop making lousy excuses since you're too insecure to accept that a young university is doing much better than what you'd like it to.

It's not about insecurity. It's about countering misinformation campaigns by a bunch of nobodies who have no knowledge on the affairs at NLUD. Otherwise, for all I care, you can claim we're a tier-4 NLU, won't change the fact that we're one of the best. But, silence to the trolls would presume that their statements are actually true when they obviously aren't.

In this universe, one may think that NLUs matter. These are just dens of the privilege of a fairly useless course like an LL.B. that contributes little to society, unlike medicine or engineering. This what politicians and bureaucrats think of these NLUs. Thus, there will be no change.

Further, what all is expected from an associate by partners in terms of work, legal knowledge etc in a General Corporate team. As background I had a considerable amount of internship in T2 firms with GC teams. Also I am first gen lawyer.

As only 4 weeks are left, could anyone suggest any good course and mock tests for preparing for CLAT PG (I'll be at least giving around 2-3 hours per day,). any other insights, including what helps in the preparation etc are also welcomed. Your insights would help me and other CLAT PG aspirants. Please avoid trolish and PR messages and only share genuine insights.

My colleague interviewed with a Gurgaon EP's team recently and the interviewing RP had no technical knowledge, got basic FEMA aspects incorrect and had to be corrected. Then they rolled out an offer that was some 7-8 LPA lower than Trilegal. When my colleague informed the EP about this she was told "Then go join Trilegal".

Why are NLUD people so insecure? This thread is a cogent proof of that. If as you keep claiming, you are indeed the best, then why bother what others who are worse than you are saying about you? Go ahead and keep showing the world that you're the best. Let other people call you the best instead of doing so yourself, that's how the best behaves.

We will if we see any. NLUD doesn't count. Even for it, we would stop calling it out if trolls from it stop claiming its superiority about everything and behaving like entitled but incapable brats. In other words, stop trolling on your part and nobody will troll you back in turn.

By the way, since you claim to be vouching for NLUD data, care to name all the 100 plus faculties that it claims to have? The reality is that no data that comes out of NLUD can be taken at face value, in the name of PR, they pull all such shady stunts, they claim their unethical entrance exam that's violative of an SC decision in spirit and also causes great hardship for aspirants every year to be 'exclusive', and tries to hide their less than par placement record by giving multiple excuses instead. And their trademark response to every case where their questionable tactics are called out is to say that since nobody other than them cleared AILET, so they are a superior species. The juvenile nature of such response is what truly highlights the quality of NLUD and its students, or lack thereof.

I am interning at AZB Mumbai. In several instances, I have heard strange screams coming in from nowhere, especially after sunset. One of the security guards told me that seeing white figures in the dark is not a rare phenomenon at all. Can someone throw more light on this? I am a T1 partner and GNLU students dominate the ranks of associates here. NLIU students aren't even looked at when it comes to hiring, and I highly doubt that it is any different in the Disputes teams. And when a new associate is hired, competency w.r.t law is irrelevant because everyone starts at the same point when it comes to actual work. That being said, GNLU is still lower in preference compared to NLUJ, NUJS or NLUD.

Are these Legal Tech Founders in India failed lawyers who couldn't survive in the industry still trying to prove the world that system was faulty and not them? Asking this because I see them posting on the end of Legal industry everyday. However, most of the posts are without any significant substance and mere rhetoric.

After Sudheer came, NLS appointments were not done using proper government recruitment procedure.

There was favoritism for Ex NLS/NLU students and foreign LLM students were preferred in the recruitment.

At the end of the day, NLSIU is a Government Institution and biased selection process od faculty is illegal.

NLU Delhi gave preference for Foreign LLM in one post, and court immidiately threatened punitive action.

While NLS hasn't written 'Ex-NLS or Foreign LLM' in the faculty recruitment brochure. The same was done in reality.

Can we file a writ against this?

NLS Faculty Hiring must be done in proper Government procedure.
