I am also annoyed to see college students use the T3 airport lounge with credit cards. They crowd the place and make a lot of noise inside the lounge, which ruins the experience for others. I flew out of Delhi the other day and one college girl was playing K-pop songs loudly on her phone, without any consideration for others. T3 was such a great airport, now it's a fish market.
No KT clause always there but implied ?? Then tell me how people got offers with active KTs ?
Did I say the firm has to necessarily look at 80-100 CVs ? No.
Ask for ranklist and sort by % weed out KTs - To my knowledge as a then PlaceCom member the only firms that enforce this are the Cyril brothers.
Weed out KTs - again how did people with active KTs end up getting offers then ? Let's shed light on that,,, because then a few rotten truths will come to light. Asking firms to background verify every potential candidate is an impossible ask but hiding KTs becomes a whole lot easier when you're running the placement ship so to speak (and the verification process happens on that end).
1. Who does what ?
2. Who gets the client ?
3. What function does Partner perform ?
4. Who briefs Partner ? Partner briefs whom?
5. What happens after the Firm gets a case ?
6. Does the partner gives a readin and send it to Senior Counsel's office ?
7. Who drafts the reply ?
8. What role does SA , PA and associates play in a case ?
9. Whose responsibility it is to research and read case laws - firm or the Senior counsel Team ?
10. Most importantly - does T-1 firm like CAM appear before city civil court? or only HC and above ?
11. What is mosty nature of cases ? is it purely commercial litigation ?
Better to take m&a or gc if you want to end up in Delhi later.
Even if you live in Mumbai for 5-10 years and want to shift to Delhi later, it's not feasible for funds. Ek baar ke liye associate waha se kaam kr skta hai lekin if a partner wants to sustain his revenue in tier ones, Mumbai is where the business is.

If we go by your logic no one should comment about anything they are able to afford regardless how expensive is it getting. Your parents must be buying onions and must be commenting that they have become expensive these days, is it like they can't afford onions at ₹60/kg? Or is it like once they have bought it at ₹60/kg they should not complain about the prices because they don't want give hardships to their taste buds by eating food without onion?
Buddy, have some sense before you comment, don't just keep poking your nose in random threads.
Granted there are people who genuinely deserved those offers for working their ass off but let's be real here.
Also from the cumulative placed numbers let's bifurcate between people who got offers through cold emails/ direct applications which the PlaceCom loves to tout as their own effort.
Before anyone contests the "fake" allegations made here - for this year the PlaceCom requests not only certificates but emails from verified handles for internships and firms have also added a "no KT clause".
Instead focus on couple of practice areas and then do.
Eg. If you target GC,PE,M&A you should visit MCA,SEBI,RBI Circulars as the same will do the most.
If Cap. Markets then MCA, SEBI,Stock Exchanges,RBI,SAT(redirect link on SEBI website available).
If Real Estate then Rera of respective State, Housing ministry (MoUD) central and state housing ministry.
P.S. - Websites of all above mentioned.
I don't know how to make it, can someone help me out. Thanks.
It's literally horrible
Curious to know if anyone here is doing that? How's the work?
if I don't get nlu can I opt for it or should I go for other private law colleges?

Only get hyper when dog bite cases surface
Stray dogs are the ones who will save you from getting raped on a lonely street at night.
In my opinion one doesn't need to be an exceptional lawyer to earn decent in litigation being above average than the crowd also pulls the client.
What about this? Today's news
https://www.indiatoday.in/cities/noida/story/noida-man-rapes-stray-dog-throws-from-3rd-floor-after-neighbour-sees-animal-cruelty-2454291-2023-10-27
Another instance.

And these dog lovers are not only inside the university, a certain MP also aided these dog lovers and chided the VC, when she asked these dog lovers to take responsibility of these dogs or the dogs would be removed.
I usually don't wish evil to others, but I wish some mild canine attack to these dog lovers so that they can understand the gravity of situation.
🐕👅🥒🥔🥕 🤢🤢🤮🤮🚽🚑🏥🛏️🤒
The dogs behave like this as they are mollycoddled by the dog lovers, who are usually rich, privileged elites from big cities. Most of these students don’t even eat at the mess and order expensive food from restaurants. What I can’t understand is why these dog lovers can’t adopt them and keep them in their houses? Is it because their parents will object? Are their parents then also “fascists”, like they accuse us of being?
You can graduate in law at 24/25 years of age and not 27/28.
2. Three good institutes you can target. Two of them have annual tuition fee less than Rs 10k
1. Delhi University - Campus Law Centre (Admission through CUET - PG)
2. GLC Mumbai/ ILS Pune ( Admission through MHCET)
3. BHU Law School (Admission through CUET)
4. NLS Bangalore (Admission through NLSAT - best among all 4 but if you can get selected, you may get scholarship or education loan)
I'm not suggesting Jindal Global Law School though it has one of the best LLB 3 year programme because that may not be affordable for you.
Best wishes.
Standalone, i won't choose competition as well. Too small of a practice in India and boring. India doesn't see exciting competition matters.
Har second NLU wale ko competition me jana hai.
Mail them up
Just one thing, let's say I get some scholarships from law school, then I can manage with the help of loan amount right?
I don't think I would be able to spend 4-5 lacs on my own.
Nevertheless, it's important to note that even if banks limit is more than the fees for the course, then also they might not cover all the fees heads, and you may have to put in your own money. Then there is something called margin (usually around 15%), which is deducted from your disbursement amount. For example, if you have sanctioned loan for fees of 2,00,000 Per Annum, and you submit a demand notice to bank for 2,00,000 which is your actual fees payable to college, bank will deduct 15%, and will give you only 1,70,000 to pay your fees, and rest 30,000 you have to arrange yourself.
Furthermore, in some colleges mess fees is not collected in annual fees and it's collected seperately, this too will not be financed and you may have to pay 40-50K per annum by yourself.
So even if you get an education loan, you will need around 4,00,000 for 5 years to pay for these expenses.
2. Almost every NLU has a merit cum need based scholarship, so you might get that but there can be eligibility criteria like CGPA, no backlog, no disciplinary actions etc. Again, check it from the website of college.
3. No experience of this, so won't comment.
Also, the LawBeat Twitter handle has only 70K followers, whereas Bar & Bench has 500K + and LiveLaw has nearly 700K. You will also will see many ads and sponsored content on BB and LL, but none on LawBeat. So I'm curious about who finances such a website, with low readership probably restricted to BJP activists rather than lawyers and law students? Are they funded by RW forces?
This should help!
If you want to understand what I m saying - go to the CCI website and look at the number of merger filings, s. 26(1) order, and s. 27 orders passed every year. The numbers have become constant
Around 100 merger filing
12-15 investigation orders
10 - s. 27 orders
Almost all the competition work is done by 3 firms- Triegal, AZB and SAM. CAM and KCo get the crumbs. JSA to usse bhi kam.
All of these firms have excess number of partners... Hardly any space for anyone at the top
2. Scholarships are available in each NLU to some extent. External scholarships like Aditya Birla are also there, though competitive. Different state governments also offer scholarships in some cases.
3. Don't worry about the age difference. Just work hard in those 5 or 3 years, do publications, internships, learn 2-3 subjects that you like really well, participate in competitions, focus on your strengths and compensating for your weaknesses, and you'll do fine once you graduate from law school. There will be plenty of people around you who will come from privileged families, don't get intimidated by them or their spending habits. If you are in the same law school as them, then you have earned your place and aren't any less than them. You do you.
You can also get in touch with organisations like IDIA Charitable Trust who help underprivileged students to get into law school.
Best of luck!
