Be from tier 1 college that's it. That's how shallow the system is if we're being honest. And no don't give me they know better work better bs. I've outperformed some dumb ones from these T1s only to be ghosted and them to be call backed later.
Which college should i pick if im looking to get a corplaw or law firm placement after my degree? pros and cons?

also, if i live in delhi would i still be able to get a hostel in nlud? and if I don’t get a hostel and have to be a day scholar, what are the cons of that?
manmohan ji =greatest econmist

modi ji= greatest of all time in developer

atal ji=is my true inspiration

indira ji= only pm
You're assuming that NLUs are interested in getting Wall Street to campus. If they wanted to, they would have done these a long time back.

The priorities of NLUs (and legal education in this country more generally) is different.
Rate these tier 1s and 2s

CAM, SAM, Khaitan, Trilegal, AZB, S&R, Saraf, Luthra, Indus, NDA, Argus
did you really work in all 6 of those firms? out of curiosity, what do you do now?
How did you convince your partner/ team to take leave for selection/ prep?

How is it compared to your law firm life financially and otherwise? What age did you leave law firm
All I can say is you'll probably leave within a year. The work culture is horrible and the partners / SAs don't know jack.
Agree with 1 but NPS is a better investment than PPF.

AI or data analytics are not useful for transactional work. Only do them if you are interested in moving to consultancy ( McKinsey type of places).
For pay usually and sometimes monotony of work. If you find a good work place, stick around and work your way up once you identify a good opportunity for growth.
umm sv doesn't lead the dept it's some dude from noida who is an engineer.... rest all things stand correct.
The entitlement is jarring. Lucknow is a brilliant place to grow up in. Plus balcony ke liye struggle nahi hai, kyuki terrace hai.
Which of the following is a better option:

Manipal Law School Jaipur or SLS NOIDA/ HYDERABAD/ NAGPUR?
Placement is good for LL.B students with almost 20-25 students getting placed out of 30.
I hear A0s start at 7.5 Lakhs assured pay. That’s what they tell you also in interviews. I know someone who had asked this question in the interview, funnily he didn’t get the job eventually.
Can CFA standalone provide enough job opps? I am currently enrolled in BCom and am thinking of either pursuing LLB or CFA
broski you already have multiple threads on the work culture part. Mehnat crow, dhndo thoda.
What are some NGOs and other organizations providing such opportunities for lawyers?
As much as I appreciate your advice, i dont think that's how it would play out irl. Best is to avoid a head on interaction with the person and keep away until you have enough ammo/support/power on your side. Be practical.
What if you don't drink but once forced to try, you end up liking it? Peer pressure worked for you and now you to go 4s and get Pina Colada every alternate day and it makes you the happiest.
what are some areas of employment where stress is very less, and work is repetitive in nature?
I see many are shifting from litigation to company. why?
Yeah I really like the argument that "crimes do occur in the real world, please grow up and get used to crimes"
lol, you did not have to scare him so bad. He's prolly asking mods to roll back the question
how much do patent litigation lawyers make in the chamber/law firm? Do firms value chamber experience?

I also request the advocates in IP Practice to help with the above query.
I dont think you should do it in an NLU. I think the best bet is to get into a JNU/ TISS type place and do a disciplinary phd. If it HAS to be law- then NLS I guess, but beyond that theres a huge disparity in quality.
Can anyone suggest decent pg near SAM/S&R Offices (Nehru enclave, Okha, GK, Chirag Delhi, Lajpat etc)?

Requirements:

- Single Occupancy

- Budget: 18-22k (inclusive of food)

- Preferably close to okhla phase III
this is supposed to .. what? make me dislike him? The man was a widower at this time. The fact that he liked and got along with women makes him more attractive. At least he had women who liked him- unlike the current guy
I'm not really sure what to get. I'll be joining a T1 soon and my parents have given me a budget of 15k.

Should I get backpack/cross-body/laptopbag? Which is most suitable? Please help
His term was renewed months ago, the biggest controversy in his tenure has been the time the fest organisers were asked to bugger off and attend class and Bimal Patel hasn't been fondly talked of anywhere outside of your imagination.
Arguably better than what an average jo from nalsar would earn. Remember you're getting your medical expenses sorted for life and no rental till you're in your 50s. What's more lucrative
Why ask for small courtesies like payouts on time? Guess we now know it's not going to happen. Don't be surprised if they don't do it in June also. EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Guess you know now. Once a lala, always a lala. Professionalism to adhere to written commitments- zero.
Hello all! I'm a 2020 grad looking to switch from my current team to a GC team that offers good exposure, guidance and a healthy work environment in Delhi. Any inputs/recommendations are welcome, thank you!
If you are not staying at home, buy some furniture/furnishing to do up the place you will be staying in - helps to feel at home
I agree. At least the faculty and non-teaching allies of a certain associate professor should openly protest, expose etc the VC. At least three such allies are in the EC. And more in the AC. What are they doing?
It’s a really good firm to work in. The wok culture and pay is synonymous to any other tier 1/2 firm. They mostly deal with advisory work for pan-India regulations and representations towards food compliances, corporate litigation etc.
Can someone let me, what is the pay scale for Delhi office of samvad partners for freshers outside campus placement?
Financial contributions/donations/endowments needn't be inherently altruistic. There is a lot luff, virtue signalling, social capital generation, taxation et al involved. Following the money and reasons for 'reasons' can be very revealing.
You can send cold emails to the partners or ask people from your previous work place to refer you.
Time taken to convey acceptance/rejection by the firm post the interview?
Yes they do, from 2024 onwards. They have significantly increased their pay-band which goes to 1 L/month, if you clear the recruitment process which is very rigorous.
This explains the difference between NLS and NUJS. For NLS students, the campus becomes their home and they want to keep coming back after graduation and also support the institution financially whereas for others, they don't care.
Don't go for all these shit courses. No one gives a damn about all these. If you want to study then go on YouTube and search for CS materials.
hey this is hardly anonymous. It's a small team, people can easily figure out who are so be careful

- Person who interned in that team a while ago
Whichever you settle on - please ensure keyboard quality and comfort in typing. As a law student, for the most part you'll be using it to type - projects/ moot memos/ internship stuff. Prioritise that, and then screen size (to be able to compare two documents side by side).
Senior hai to tujhe kuchh sikhane ke liye hi ye sab kiya hoga na

Lassi bhi amul ka tha koi tapri wale ka to nahi tha na

Be open to learning
Nice promo yall. Paneer khayega OP with every remaining seat getting filled.
Gauging from your answer, pretty sure you may have wasted countless Amul lassis on people's coats in them corridors.
You can simply study BBA LLB. No reason why everyone has to like the same things that you do and scrap everything else. Most of the papers that you mentioned are electives and no student is forced to opt for those.
Whenever they have posted about internship vacancies through google forms, they are always about tax and allied areas. So do they never take interns for other teams, say IPR? If they do, how should one apply?
Because they need experts who can develop technology and business processes, not overpaid clerks who specialise in Google searches and drafting rants.
Indeed. Evidence of that is clearly manifested in this post itself, where someone who seems to be a NUJS student can't even complete the spelling of the word "administration".
And with all the shitposting that happens on places like LI re law schools like JGLS or even individuals like Sudhir, it is no surprise there's a 'brain drain'.
Folks like Tarunab Khaitan were wealthy? Rhodes/Gates scholars are wealthy? Alright, the sorts of folks who go for undergraduate study overseas are disproportionately likely to be wealthy, but this is just a nonsense comment.
I think youre lying. Because there's no concept of 'clearing' the LSAT you get a score of 0 to 180
Anyone interned with khaitan’s tech/ innovation department? How has your experience been? I’m interested in this space and wanted to apply.

Do they take interns and how much do they pay? And what does the laptop policy at khaitan look like (for interns)?
Does anybody have an idea how much Argus Partners pay to a A3/A4 or a SA1 (Fixed+Bonus) in their Delhi location. Please throw some light.
That’s for the Bombay office, at other offices you would get like 40-50k monthly
I would disagree, have personally used the same and they got through the 5 years, your personal experience Mai have been bad, on the other hand had a HP laptop give up in 3 years
