I guess a list of clubs worth joining in Delhi (minus Noida and Gurugram) would be:
Tier 1:
- Delhi Gymkhana
- Delhi Golf Club
- IIC
- IHC
Tier 2:
- Panchshila club
- Vasant Vihar Club
- Chelmsford Club
-Roshanara Club
- Jahapanah Club
Tier 3:
- Punjabi Bagh Club
What say? Possible to join these?
Is there any topic in armed conflict that's genuinely unique and interesting? For once I want to have fun with research.
I don't really find any proof that he's condescending to us. He is misinformed, like literally every westerner on the planet about our culture, but we could make the argument that most Indians are misinformed about each other.
Your arguments hold no weight.
1. T1 Senior Associate - Omega Speedmaster
2. T1 Partner - Rolex Datejust
3. Banker - Rolex Submariner
4. Client - Patek Phillipe Aquanaut
I have done that much googling and I am aware that Oxford offers BCL instead of LL.M., but it is equivalent to LL.M. elsewhere. However, I apologize for any terminology inaccuracies and appreciate your assistance.
As for the civilians, Israel gave them a warning and time to relocate - something that Hamas did not. In fact, Hamas does not want to let the victims escape so as to keep using it's victim card. If it gives up hostages, maybe something could be worked out but if not, none of us can sit and lecture Israel on international "laws"
blocked the no. nothing since.
Is it true or not???

I have around 4 years PQE and I am thinking of doing an MBA from a US/Canada B-School. Do you think it is a good idea if one wishes to settle in said countries? I feel like I would like to get out of the legal practice. I know the MBA is an expensive degree, so kindly touch on points beyond that please!
Thanks!

All the above mentioned colleges are in top 15, and above all other NLUs like NLU Jodhpur, NLIU, RML, HNLU, NLUO.
There are many ranking frameworks in India, i feel sorry for anyone who decides which college to go to on the basis of NIRF ranking.
Also I guess its time to replace NLS with NALSAR and NUJS.
4 out of 10 are street players' team like AFG, NED.
How one can call it a World Cup?
"always try to upgrade your friend circle to more smarter people"
I see who the problem here is.
can you please ensure that this thread stays at the homepage, this would ensure that the excel sheet gets updated regularly
may I also suggest a sticky thread for LLM
I suspect it was probably some of at the attendees at the party who leaked the pics to the IT cell, or maybe some staff. Expect more such dirty tricks as the elections approach.

Most amused to see some personal photos of me being circulated on social media by @BJP4India
‘s troll sena. I like green dress better on me than white blouse. And why bother cropping - show rest of the folks at dinner as well. Bengal’s women live a life. Not a lie.
At least people saw me in some jazzy clothes! :-)
Attain for the top 4 and you are good to go. All the best :)
This is not STEM, but humanities.
Foreign law firms ki koi jaroorat nahi hai.
But great power comes with great responsibility. You will need to be passionate about litigation, clients stake and expectations are very high, you need to be on your toes everytime and that is only manageable if you are passionate about work.
In any case, just focus on being consistent with your work, don't chase numbers too much right now (I'm assuming that the person asking this question is a first year.)
PS: Ask these questions directly from seniors, they are much better placed to help with NLS-specific questions like these than a Legally India thread.
Good Luck!

Please stop talking out of your a$$, lawyers are not mid-tier earners. Have some sense of awareness and acknowledge that this is a very high paying profession. There are literal crores in this country who would love to make what a T-1 A0 makes as their own peak. SMH.
Everyone here wasn’t born yesterday. Some of us were in academia when Sudhir was teaching at Oxford and Columbia and Brown. You’re welcome to google the same and you’ll probably see some evidence of that as well. This is straight up lying and defaming someone cause you have an axe to grind. Well - we can safely surmise you’ve not done a remarkable thing in your life except drag someone else down at this point.
Sudhir has written everything that has his name on it. I don’t know if that’s the case for other academics. And quality really does matter more than quantity- the stuff Sudhir writes gets read and cited by a lot of people. You don’t think he’s impressive because you clearly have a bias. You compare what he’s writing to the redundant nonsense that most Indian academics produce - you see that he really is one of the smartest people around in Indian academia. Tell me a book or an article which you think was poorly done and give reasons for it.
Why is the Infosys prize not validation ? Because you don’t like him ? Is that it?
And Academics move around - he’s taught at plenty of good places in his career. Get a life.
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/ahmedabad/ahead-of-olympics-bid-gujarat-identifies-33-sites/articleshow/102735573.cms
I think India's chances of winning the bid are 100%. China got the Olympics in 2008. By 2036, India will easily be holding the same importance in the world that China did in 2008. We will be a 10 trillion economy and the population will be close to 1.5 billion. The IOC will see it as a huge marketing opportunity.
Now, it's certain that Ahmedabad will be the host city for the bid, rather than Delhi. The TOI report above says that sites are being identified already. Assuming Modi wins in 2024, the central government will go all out to boost Ahmedabad in the 2024-29 period and possibly beyond (if Modi is re-elected in 2029). Meanwhile, Adani and Ambani will pump in funds, along with other Gujarati industrialists. So what will this mean for Ahmedabad as a city?
- Massive investments in infrastructure
- Metro rail etc
- Cleaner roads
- Luxury housing projects
- New luxury hotels
- Fantastic airport
In contrast, Mumbai is too overcrowded to carry out such work and the city is becoming unliveable with high rents and traffic. So will Ahmedabad then be the new economic capital of India, both because of new investments and spillover investments from Mumbai? Remember that the bullet train from Mumbai to Ahmedabad will be operational by by 2027, taking just 2 hours to commute to Mumbai. So it's conceivable that people working in Mumbai could live in Ahmedabad and commute daily.
Have you guys ever started to feel that you are getting over a friend. Not necessarily that they did something wrong or did something substantially wrong but just that you don’t no longer feel that you operate in the same zone (for good or for bad). Over the past year I am having the clinching need to replace my entire friend circle which would invariably have me be alone for quite some time. I just don’t feel that I enjoy with my friends anymore or anyone for that matter. Their juvenile acts don’t make it better (like being an hour late to places, not replying on time even if it is to say no, stupid excuses to skip each others milestones, having no zeal to learn what their friends are doing). I don’t know it they can help it because this seems to be their genuine personality. Regardless crux being that there is disassociation. How to be okay with being alone than being in a social circle that I absolutely don’t enjoy.

No, the associate has the upper hand in the power spectrum as they make the conscious decision to get the intern the job. So he has the privilege here. He doesn't have to have the sex to make the decision, he can do it otherwise. He is therefore engaging in the act, for the pleasure of sex, thereby assuring consent from his side. The intern cannot get the job without the associate making the decision and therefore is engaging in the act not for pressure but under the need for the decision, which is not consent to the pleasure, making it rape. Ofc unless it becomes some epstein scandal, Noone is gonna prosecute this.
Also how pathetic are u to take time and draft a paragraph justifying sex for job?

Indus mumbai CM faced attrition recently and is hiring I think, can someone authenticate pls. Regards.
@kian can you please pay more attention to moderation or atleast arrange the threads in some order.
Whenever a firm pauses internships, its the biggest red flags. Because essentially they are getting free labor from the toppers of good law schools who would rather do jobs at SCAM or trilegal, but are still not offering, meaning they have no work.
Regards.
We expect extra cautious moderation on sensitive threads like this one. Which means no rape innuendoes, jokes, porn references, body shaming directed to the victim, nor anything identifying to the victim (literally illegal). Longer moderation periods is not an issue here.
Please ensure this and just not allow trollish comments.
