We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.

there is no official diversity quota, however, you would find at oxbridge the pg cohorts are not too heavy from one country, they do this by looking at the sop and transcripts, there is an unofficial geography quota. Otherwise, it would just be Indians and Chinese.

The results are decided even before the exam is announced.
Try for UP judiciary, DJS, HJS, MPJ, RJS.
These are somewhat less corrupt.
There are usually 3 groups.
My classmates were children of Judges, hot shot lawyers, MPs, MLAs, ministers, senior bureaucrats, industrialists.
Others were children of bank employees, railways, MSME business, small practice, group B/C government job etc.
A lot of them were just getting by on scholarships and such assurances.
Throw some hints, maybe?
In this case the faculty member seems to be standing by their comments which is a good thing. Also good on JGU to support her unlike the cowards at Ashoka who ask their professors to resign instead of creating an atmosphere of academic freedom.
I do agree about toxic culture and bad treatment though
A.Male
B. Female
C. Non-binary
D. I use another term
E. I prefer not to say
The thing is, most LLM courses in commercial law are male dominated and colleges may look to set a cap. So, if we are heterosexual males, if we pick C,D or E, do we escape the cap? Or even earn diversity points? While choosing C could be considered dishonest, one could argue that D is acceptable (as there are dozens of gender possibilities). E would be 100% honest.
What are you guys doing?
On a lighter note, Dawood Ibrahim's connection with the Mahadev betting racket gave me déjà vu - of the pre 2014 kind!

Dude, if they got disqualified they did something wrong. She won the medals fair and square. Also, the work she is doing is a million times more important than what law firm partners are doing. FYI she has a good chance of getting a Lok Sabha ticket next year and you may well see her as an MP in a few months from now.
How of this is true? Tips on not getting stagnated in a place?
But what about others like me who genuinely are toppers, have good experiences at tier 2s, have great papers published, have done some other thing to prove skills like leadership and teamwork, but cannot afford the NLU fees and definitely cannot take on loans. Maybe give them an internship interview?
However I get it that you are quite busy with clients and juniors, but unfortunately your HR policy is basically only shortlisting people from the NLS NALSAR NUJS or the others. I have spoken to the HR at a tier 1 who literally told me it's an unspoken policy and others are "provisional lists"

Please answer genuinely and also mention PQE and Designation.
Thanks
So maybe complaints about high fees are unjustified?
so why diss on the kids if they are trying to build some traction on social media?
Its important to share whatever you know, don't get discouraged by naysayers
Why don't you raise your voice.
The thing is (whoever you are) you don't care about Afghans or their deportation.
You are angry that people are raising voice on issues you disagree with it.
Also FYI, CAA directly affects people in our country.
And people in Palestine are fighting a colonial power that has support of other colonial powers like US and UK.
Also, it would go against the demonstrated editorial policy of the Wire to denounce Mahua - even if she were found guilty of misconduct and corruption.
Just like the BJP does a whitewash on those who change sides and join them, the Wire props characters like Sharad Pawar, Lalu Prasad, Mulayam Yadav, and the like - just because these fellows are now a part of the opposition camp, which the Wire actively and tacitly supports in every possible way.
Wake and smell the coffee, kids. We've become a dangerously polarised society. Say anything remotely pro-BJP / right-wing on LI and you'll be branded a troll. Say anything critical of BJP and you'll be branded an anti-national. The truth
spend 1 -1.5 lac for foreign trips man!
NLSIU, NALSAR, NLUD most active in reading and laughing at their insecurities.
If not, please suggest any alternative practice areas that I should consider. I would really appreciate any sort of advice related to this!!!
Other random info (would be grateful if you read):
It seems to be in the top 10 for QS for Law in general.
Other universities I've got into are QMUL and Bucerius.
Still planning to apply for a PgDip in Oxford, Munich Intellectual Property LC, NUS and WIPO Turin. I think NUS might happen but the other 3 are doubtful. US is kind of out of my reach at the moment.
Ergo: disingenuous troll post.
Moral of story: accuracy matters, even when shit posting.
I have refused booze parties or similar, this is sorted now. Would never fall prey to this in future too.
No one at NLUD misses Mrinal except for his friends who also left all unethical folks are back at NLS.
