I would suggest giving CAM CM Team a shot because they are always hiring. CAM Tag and lateral shifts you just cannot compare then.
You might be right with Rajani not being in the limelight on big ticket work these days but its not that they don't get work. Culture wise, Rajani beats CAM and anyways given how tier 1s bleed juniors in ECM teams, lateral hiring would anyways leave you with a tier 1 in 1/2 years if you start with Rajani.
CAM has seen partner level attrition so its a sticky place to be as a junior to be very honest; plus not every paralegal converts to the A0 level. Play your cards right and make your choice wisely.
Best of luck!

Kolkata is a shitty market for law firms, you guys are always quick to jump onto conclusions.
Bump
Hiring almost always happen in - Mumbai, NCR Delhi Offices and Bangalore. Exactly in that order. So better intern in Mumbai, Delhi or Bangalore.
Also, I had a great experience working with Mr. Ameet Datta, he notices and appreciates hard work. However, unfortunately, the tech advisory team is now headed by Ms. Suvarna Mandal. Mr. Datta plays more of a senior partner role.
Today they have some 300 students in LLM and sadly job prospects are as bad. Never do LLM with the sole aim of getting a job. You'll be disappointed.
But atleast there is no tar with vaping.
Figures can become higher if there are too many overlaps or the transaction structure is complex
The above is the rate card for Indian clients
P.S. I have never used a contact for an internship before and I am unsure how to proceed. If anyone could suggest something or provide assistance, it would be greatly appreciated. I am at a point in my life where I need a reference.
Which contact details should I provide to the firm's HR or office or partners Directly?
Ps- I never used contact for internship I had no idea.
If anyone can suggest something or help would be great.
I am at this moment of life I need some refrence.

I just wanna go ALL OUT ONE LAST TIME.

Their performance as doctors will be equally good as they've also studied and passed the med school. If you rank the med school, I'm sure there'll be good number of sc st ews obc students ranking above those who got through general merit. Nevertheless, they all qualify the standard set by the educational institute to practise as a doctor as they pass all the subjects during their course of study.
Also, in medical profession, It's not only the brute merit but compassion and ethics that has huge impact on ailing population. Usually a person who has seen difficult situation during childhood including those from marginalised backgrounds would be willing to go to that extra edge in serving the downtrodden.
Choose RA for the learning, choose CAM for the tag.
The practice area is anyways very shitty and clerical to put things in context for you.
So in all probability, it's not happening.
Looks like you have to resort to chest thumping and lying about being the highest pay master to get people to apply to you in the first place.
Got it….

Talwar Thakkore started this Joining hands BS and failed. Then came Trilegal and failed.
Now even more BS is happening.
Link legal joined hands with SNR Dentons in UK. So called Joining hands only means Link Legal can use DENTONS graphics, website. And nothing else.

Yes, its possible to get 8+GPA or CGPA. But you really need to work hard, since your first GPA itself is in the 6s. My own CGPA is now 8 after 6th sem, that too only because I got a 7 in 2nd sem. You need to get at least an 8 (minimum) for the next 2-3 years continously to ensure that your CGPA touches 8. For that, it is critical to ensure that you get a minimum of As in your externals, as they are much easier to get since there is a pattern of PYQs being repeated, so you'll have an idea as to what to study for. If you start studying even lets say 1 month before the start of your exams, you would be able to pull that off. As for internals, one set would be a written test (try to score well in that) and the other is usually a research paper. The latter may not always ensure that you get good grades, but the former would, if you have studied well and if you know how to write answers.
Coming to whether a 8 CGPA matters or not, well it depends on what you want to do and how well connected your parents/relatives are. If your parents are in the profession/know someone well in the profession, which can ensure that you get a job/place where you want (be it corporate/companies/chambers), you need not worry so much. However, it does not hurt to maintain a good CGPA - it can help you sit for placements/internships, it is one of the most important if not the criteria for placements/what firms look at, and also helps in your applications for Masters abroad. If your parents are not so well connected, well then- you should start working hard.
I don't want to boast or give you the wrong picture or anything, but you need not study 2 months prior to for getting a 8+ GPA. I know people who studied the night before and have gotten Os in their final grades and got 8+GPA. However, that is too risky. Make sure you study well about 1 month in advance, know what to study, where to study from, and how to write answers. All the best!
Do you have to face any sort of discrimination?
Do you have to face any sort of discrimination?
You decide.
Only KCO is known to give offers to fourth year students. Other than kco, ALL the firm's role out ppo to 5th years
Additionally, not many partners (that do aforementioned quality work) generate work themselves. A lot of it is merger control matters which are down to the corporate teams passing on work.
While I (selfishly) hope that there is a shake up of the system with the proposed Digital Competition Bill and the overhaul to the Competition Act, I would not put my money on it. The DCB is possibly years away and the Central Government can't be bothered to notify the changes from the Competition Amendment Act, 2023.
Try disputes instead. Or corporate if you don't mind soul sucking work. You'll have a much better career.
did you manage to get an assessment internship or PPO?
Please help me fill out clat preference list...I am really confused between gnlu and nliu bhopal. I have MP domicile, making nliu easier for me but still I'm inclined towards GNLU because of its recent performance..
I am genuinely seeking guidance on the steps I should take in the next 1-2 years to achieve this objective. Specifically, I would appreciate advice on whether I should join a chamber, and if so, which practice areas I should focus on to facilitate a smooth transition from a chamber to a Tier 1 law firm as an Associate. Your insights and recommendations would be immensely valuable to me.
I know notifying party bills the most, but how much do firms generally charge for say, a green channel or a form I, and how much for a Form II. Have heard that Form II can stretch to crores. Please give accurate info.
