this is the actual unbiased list of preference

1. NLSIU - undisputed

2. NALSAR / NLUD - students who clear ailet usually decide between NALSAR NLUD or NLSIU, now this is personal preference. but still, NLSIU > NALSAR / NLUD - UNDISPUTED

3. NUJS / NLUJ - this usually boils down to geography (most of the times) nujs and nluj both of them are great colleges have an amazing blend of succesful alumnis

4. NLUJ/NUJS - Same point as above

5. GNLU - this will remain the 5th college (nliu is not as good as gnlu)

6. NLIU - considering its bottom the tier 1, dont take it lightly you can build an amazingly strong career with the brand repo and alumni networks here too.

tier 2

7. HNLU - decent placements good oppurtunities and recognised brand repo

8. RMNLU / RGNUL / NLUO - (i would PERSONALLY KEEP NLUO above these, reason being these two have not been performing that well add on to that NLUO has a lot less politics and since past few years they have a better placement record and DEF A BETTER ALUMNI NETWORK) (REASEARCH FOR CHOOSING THE 8TH ONE)

9th and 10th RMNLU / RGNUL / NLUO - (same pointers as above + reasearch extremely well and then take into consideration eveyrthing then take your call bud)

Now tier 3 rankings

- there's no fixed ranking system of tier 3's
though points to be noted

1. CNLU has seen a jump

2. MNLU Nagpur has gone into the worst category of tier3s

3. tnnlu has few trilegal placements

4. nusrl ranchi has been facing serious backlash on catering (research this too)

cumming up the tier 3, id say its a better call to go for privs than these - more or less you will realise the academic structure and college structure dont cater to the potential of the students studying (sorry to say this buts its the reality).

Saw a lot of people suggest putting NLS at first but do not. I would recommend you to actually put it at least at 3rd position because it is not worth it for newer batches anymore because of the insanely large batch sizes which the college does not seem well equipped to be able to handle properly.

There is no evidence of stellar or even above average research emerging from NLSIU in the last 6 years since the person has taken charge. All of that is hypothetical 'achhe din' promise peddled by Sudhir fanpeeps here. The only real thing that has happened is a staggering batch size increase without commensurate infra or facility improvement.
