our fathers were clueless after their respective degrees, took some time to find a job and worked hard in it, the whole concept of trying to get a job before you even graduate feels secure and regular but we have a whole life ahead of us, things will always work out.
Everything perfect. Rashmi still works with juniors. Solid Bombay old school litigation training. Rohan is great too.

You will not regret it.
That's not enough. This guy has never done anything good for the lawyers in India and only dragged down BCI's name through mud by his numerous antics over the years. It's high time he's removed from the position.
Seems like there is genuine anxiety…don’t mock them at least…
Bump, pls someone who has tried both and chosen one?
damn this is better than some t2 and t3 nlus. What's the current batch size of Christ ?
Honestly - if you are somebody who is yet to enter tier 1s and is looking for a bridge to connect, you can move to this team and initiate your tier 1 journey. Have not seen anybody moving from a good team to this team from a tier 1.
Recently joined the firm and the work culture is toxic coupled with arbitrary salary deductions. The partners appear to be sick in the head
Those of you who went in-house after working at a Tier 1 / well-paying Tier 2 firm for a few years - at what level did you make the shift, which practice were you in, and how much of a pay cut did you have to take?
LI - can you please bring the original facts of OP back to understand the point being discussed in its true intended sense? Alternatively, OP, can you please restate your original post.
my friend who works in the team says good bonuses but high volume of work. Often not managed well.
Does he allow his juniors to appear and argue matters and take up their own cases? And is his practise mostly based out of the Delhi High Court or the Supreme Court as well? It would be really helpful if someone told me about chambers where juniors are also allowed to argue.
You are not even a year into law school and you're asking this!? Calm down a bit and learn some more. Get some more internships etc. You are giving yourself heart and blood pressure problems before you need to.
Because you haven't bothered reading the article. Sometimes, I wonder if you folks are even lawyers and not just comp scie kids who shitpost here sometimes to get peoples' blood pressure up.
Tried and failed VC position at NUJS. His power source is Tauji and you know who is Tauji's favourite student.
Apology will not do. Resignation from BCI and RS. He has to go. Cannot have such a person as a lawmaker. Do a Pradhan.
Old news but good news. He's apologised. Pretty humiliating climb-down from him, especially once the CJI himself said what he was doing was out of order.
Hi OP this side,

Revitalizing this thread again

Can anybody share there experience of switching practice areas?

Really need to switch from Indirect tax, any tips or experiences would help

Thanks
Paraphrasing- does anybody get a response to website applications (rejection/acceptance)?
Disputes- re-read and reinterpret a contract. Create meaning where none exists.
Please recommend some names. I’m also looking to move from a Tier 2 to a Tier 1.
What is going on at the office? any idea which practice area is hiring and currently active, want to know specifically about disputes team, will be interning in the next month. Any leads is appreciated on how to make the most of it
Kudos to your mehnat, but you totally missed the point, the point being how am I supposed to do a 6–10-month internship while I am attending college in Orissa.
Hey, how did the interview go?? What does the pay structure look like?? And what questions did they ask you?
Financial regulatory practice is currently a monopoly. And it is not Utkarsh. Some things are res ipsa loquitur
Hi, has anyone sat for interviews in LKS in the Indirect Tax Team? If yes what were the kind of questions that were asked?
haven’t heard much about it, please give genuine insights only.
IPR - Super interesting subject while pauing the lowest of all practice areas.
1. MZM Legal (Delhi Office)
2. Panag & Babu Law Chambers (PBS Legal)
3. Kochhar & Co. (Dispute Resolution / White-Collar Group)
4. Bharucha & Partners (Delhi Office
1. Chambers of Bharat Chugh
2. Chambers of Sidharth Luthra (Senior Advocate)
3. Chambers of Arshdeep Singh Khurana
4. Chambers of Vijay Aggarwal
what are your thoughts on luthra and luthra law offices. i interned at their delhi office under general corporate team . the work flow was extremely poor .
From a long term perspective and setting up a legal career
I've tried to apply for a dec internship at JSA Corp BLR but just got an automated response to my mail saying "We are closed for internships for Summer 2026. We shall reopen the Internship application soon."
Is there any other way to apply?
"Why big AI labs are hiring so many philosophers"

😂😂😂

Oh man, these humanities paglus who insist that humanities are as important as STEM crack me up!
What rubbish - we have a long and proud tradition of CJIs who were political actors. Learn your constitutional history. Subbarao, AN Ray, Khanna, Chandrachud, all took very political stances.
would like to know who is backing whom in this upcoming election? assuming that Gaurav Bhatia is being backed by the BJP Establishment and maybe Mahalakshmi Pavani by the Congress establishment… who is backing the other candidates?
Context? Also what miracles? This profession needs one tbh.
I mean whatever it takes right? Tell me you wouldn't be doing it if you were in their place?
Again we don’t get the opportunity to intern like you because I study in orissa how can i go and intern a full year in Mumbai? Make it make sense
They’ll share the joining date and other details next year in June via email. Joining will be in August. You’ll be given the offer letter and retainer agreement after you join.

There in no mandatory internship.
November 27. Students should have kicked him out already if not for his political connections
What about institutions that don't learn from repeated mistakes?
First-mover advantage only takes you so far. At some point, you start believing in miracles, particularly when you see how certain systems continue to function as they do.
trading and portfolio skills are nothing to do with Capital Markets
Ik this guy... he is full of it... Ask him basics of law and he wont be able to answer but loves to sound like an intellectual
No. We refer to us as We. We are gods. We are all powerful. Get the hint! Live in fear.
Man didn't lower the Bar. He has none. And his apple hasn't fallen far from the tree. Man should be barred from ever abusing his position as a pulpit for drivel. Needs to be driven out along with minions.
Man** ko nahi man-na. Man** ko nahi manana. Usko sirf jana. Cockroaches should help do a Bankipur to Man*" rt now. No more Mansplaining. Man has to go. Right now.
Boohoo why are firms taking kids from these low tier colleges and not my high tier nlu which should've gotten me a job for being just above average instead of slogging it out for 6 months
nls is struggling with over two-thirds of the batch not placed and you are hearing this lmao
Can someone please explain why, except for the incumbent government being in the pocket of the two biggest corporate oligarchs?
B&F - 6 hour days or 16 hour days (nothing in between). Fun once you get used to it, life is autopilot
First-mover advantage only takes you so far. At some point, you start believing in miracles, particularly when you see how certain systems continue to function as they do.
Agreed. Law firms are businesses.
So you agree that there is not a single NLU that can align with and help law firms to be run as businesses.
If you seem that unhappy within a month of joining the place, then have you considered leaving? There may be other people who like it better, and you may like other places better than you do this one. No point in torturing yourself for the next five years.
Prateek is a tough nut to crack. Swapnil is a new partner but not naive. Both of them have decent GC experience, so prepare accordingly.
Understandable. Was my dream, but failed. DW try laterally there (which i am also hoping)
OP this side,

waiting for FSR, B&F, TMT, Corporate, Disputes, Insolvency, etc
Excellent job. Once the order is withdrawn, rush to file a Petition and mention it so that the man could give sound bites and make it seem like he is all wonderful.
so it has more comments and pops up more so someone can actually answer the q
Defamatory if one can prove that the statements are untrue.
Okay. I didn't say NLU students are dumb and all the nonsense. Just an observation about the professor. He is a brilliant dude, lecturers are worth attending, fair etc.
10 from Jindal
10 from NLUJ
4 from GNLU
3 from NLS

What are the numbers for NALSAR, NUJS, SLSP,
