Wakode appears to hand over the device before gathering his examination papers and books. He then picks up his water bottle and leaves the examination hall, with Doolla seen walking out alongside him.
The CCTV footage does not appear to show any confrontation or altercation inside the examination hall. Other students continue writing their papers and appear to take notice of Wakode only when he gets up and leaves the room.
The visuals appear to corroborate the Mumbai Police’s earlier claim that a device was found in Wakode’s possession during the examination.
Wakode’s parents have alleged that he was repeatedly targeted by Doolla over a period of three months. Mumbai Police are reportedly examining additional CCTV footage from outside the examination hall to establish what happened after Wakode left the room.
CNN-News18 had earlier reported that Sahil spoke about having had a bad paper and being caught during the examination. He did not mention any alleged casteist slur during that conversation.

Granted that the prof was wrong to grab the student by the collar, but the increasing chhaprification of student behaviour in India is becoming intolerable. Wokeness does not mean behaving like a roadside goon.
