Now coming to your lame objections
1. how getting PC in NDA than JAG is easy, read below ( i know you don't know about this) -
P𝙲 at 𝙽𝙳𝙰 𝚟. 𝙹𝙰𝙶 - Nda grades have to successfully complete (3yr course & physical training + one year regrious training (6 month more for airforce) at respective department) + individual performance report than pc given. Visit the link
https://164.100.158.23/types-of-commission.htm
Completeing these successfully is not an easy task & many left at middle, go & ask anyone who have atleast knowledge about defence or may read this article -
https://www.ssbcrack.com/2019/10/why-do-so-many-nda-cadets-leave-training.html#:~:text=Other%20key%20reasons%20for%20such,same%20as%20they%20had%20envisioned.
Whereas no such falna dhimaka criterias needed for SSC grades & it given mere on the basis of ACR report + vacancy (only who opted).
https://www.mod.gov.in/faqs/q-14-what-are-rules-concerning-permanent-commission-ssc-officers
2. How 70% result arrived - Simple & dumb logical answer would be that how you arrived at 99.9% but thank god my knowledge is not like your. My analysis based on information shared by many military candidates, coaching faculties & researches. For example read this article you'll get some idea.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thehindubusinessline.com/blink/know/gender-barriers-in-the-road-to-permanent-commission-for-women-in-the-armed-forces/article33942023.ece/amp/
So i hope you got fully baked inputs & clarification that it is not your dad's firm where promotion done automatically. PC is a type of promotion for ssc grades and even in pvt. jobs no where in world promotion done automatically. Even a ten year year old school going kid who has a superficial knowledge would found flaws in statements better than you.
1. Once you receive salary, save fixed amount each month first. Spend your money after you save. Your savings rate should be high and keep expenses in check. You need to be well dressed, but need not buy expensive brands. Its a farce so stay away from it. Invest EACH month rigorously.
2. If you need a car, use as utility and no need to spend more than 15 lakhs on car for commuting. Change the car only once your previous one is giving trouble.
3. Invest wisely. FDs, debt instruments will not give you return to beat the inflation. Learn stocks, mutual funds and invest wisely.
4. Dont fall in insurance trap. One term plan of INR 1 crore coverage should suffice - annual premium should be INR 10K to 12K.
5. Control your unnecessary expenses - reduce alcohol, smoking and spend that money on food, gym etc. No need to buy very expensive cloths. Brands like LP, Van Hausen should work for the most (including partners)
Lastly, please spend your first salary for family but dont exhaust entire 1st month salary on that. Please save from day 1.
By above tips, I accumulated a mass at 35 year age.
It is far more important to just wear well dressed, crisp and clean clothes.
I am not saying you shouldn't get it, but do so only if you like what it is you're buying and feel pride in owning it.
This is something which you can grow over time organically.
That's what firms that are paying you that want you to feel :))
For what’s worth I feel the future AIR 1s will be extremely happy because AIR 1 from the batch of 2026 has been an ICSE topper.
1. The swimming pool seems to be open air. Does the water get too hot in the summers? Is there any plan to convert the pool to an indoor pool?
2. How many tennis courts are there? Do you need to book in advance? Is it tough to get a chance because of the large number of students?
3. Are golf and squash facilities being built? When will they be ready?
4. Is it possible to use the sports facilities during class hours? Or are they closed?
That being said , the stage where I will criticise B&B is that they should’ve mentioned at least the Aditya Birla Scholarship that is strictly merit based on the process of clat results. That means too meritorious students are not completely out of the race. I know some of my classmates who are studying under ABS and trust me it does make a difference.
It seems like you have more to improve on than the very same kids you deride as being beneath you. Get rid of this arrogant attitude- I wouldn’t be surprised if you realise the realities of academic rigour get to you before they get to anyone else.

Why shouldn’t the government not subsidise legal education ? Cause you don’t like it or there’s an actual reason ?
Top quality education, really??
First of all, that humongous amount of fees is because of reluctance of govt. in rendering funds!
They, do not, receive, or very lil amount of, any funding from the government. As a result, they have to charge higher tuition fees in order to cover their operating costs. In contrast, IITs & AIIMS are funded by the Government.
Buz- It is a post grad degree that matters, and then the high fees does not matter. Further, the placement packages are extremely incredible.
Med school- We are restricting ourselves to government owned colleges, and such med schools charge a paltry sum for the kind of stuff they teach and facilitate.
Engineering- Requires lot of equipment etc. for practicals and the high fees is justified.
Hita Agarwal - IIMC. 2019 batch of NUJS.
I get it, you failed to crack AILET. And now you think by spreading misinformation, you can somehow vindicate your failure. Not going to happen, NLUD is better than wherever you’re studying at. No questions asked and no quarters given.
NLUs are not the MOST expensive. iykyk. So, does top-quality education really come at a top price?
https://www.barandbench.com/columns/sky-rocketing-law-school-fees-a-trend-towards-exclusion
This is populist, socialist nonsense. If you want top-quality education, it costs money. The government cannot and should not subsidise legal education. Also ,why is B&B silent about business, medical, engineering, hotel management etc course? Why are NLUs always the whipping boys?
https://www.barandbench.com/news/bci-rules-allow-entry-of-foreign-law-firms-opened-new-doors-young-talent-justice-hima-kohli
What do you think you're dude? Get off the high horse and try socialising with your batchmates ffs.
"Why did you tell us law school will (would) be intellectually stimulating and interesting when these intros are totally radiating a different vibe.(?) That other day(,) while watching an interview(,) I found this person from NLS stating that she doesn’t even read books(,) and apparently TV shows are more ‘helpful’(.)" (I guess your book doesn't teach how to apply punctuation marks)
What is wrong with that? You retain wayyy more from visuals than you ever will by reading something, and that's the case for most people. No offence but you seem boring af, I can feel the negative energy 'radiating' through your comment.
This '28 batch is a bit much, yes! But it's always better to be cringy than toxic :)
Let me bring out the inconsistencies in your statements.
Statement 1: Easier for JAG officers to get PC than NDA grades:
Even a ten year year old school going kid who has a superficial knowledge of the forces would know that Officers who are ex-NDA(NDA grades in your lingo) are automatically given permanent commission. They do not have to apply for PC. Thus ,it is not fair to compare them with the JAG officers on this parameter.
Secondly, how did you arrive at the conclusion that only 70 percent of officers who opt for PC are finally awarded the same. 2011 le census me likha tha kya?? Seems that you are a civilian and have a very inadequate knowledge of the armed forces. Dhang se inputs leke aa...half baked knowledge ka koi fayda nhi hai.
NIRF should have considered this metric. How is JGLS?
But again opt for clat , if you are quite sure. Only then you will be able to crack it. Consult someone who is in the same boat as you are. 20 isn’t too old / or even old for that matter. It will only matter if you think it’s old, so maybe stop worrying about it.
Also nah 20 ain’t old lol. Infact some or no quite a few of your batchmates at nlu o will be around this age
https://www.legallyindia.com/convos/topic/256763-graduating-at-245-normal-right
Also , focus on the exam please. I have seen a lot of folks like you (please don’t take offence , I am just advising) claiming that if they work hard they will get it but ultimately they rank lower. My point is people from the college you mentioned obsviously will try to make you stay there. But if you are passionate , maybe just work for it. And I don’t think 20 is too old. It’s a bit late yes , but not old. There are people who start around this age even at tier-2/3
NLU-O isn’t bad. But again I am not hearing good things about them a lot. So maybe try avoid that place , or just take a seat and retake clat.
No 20 isn’t too old lmao. Infact it’s perfectly fine to start at 20. One of the folks this year joined at 21(which I think may raise eyebrows) but believe me he is getting props for cracking the exam instead of getting demotivated. And 20 anyway is a pretty safe age. You won’t be too old or old at all. So stop worrying
Please ensure you balance your academics with clat preparation. Promise yourself and start hustling. Time will give you your value if you make good use of it. I understand your concerns but trust me this drop won’t be a big deal. If you wanna get in touch , I will drop my mail. But try to follow this advice first. As you said yourself , you are taking a partial drop. If you are mature enough to make it this time , you will be judicious later on as well. Go ahead , ace your acad at Odisha , prep well for clat. It’s hardly 5 months. You can do it ❤️
Now It's high time that seats of judicial officers in HC should be raised upto 50%. high number of promotee judges may grab attentions of CJ & colleagues toward welfare of district judiciary more.
Insecurity is more about you than them. Best you focus on improving yourself rather than complaining about others during your nalsar years. Try not to judge a book by it’s cover. Best stay off social media for peace of mind.
Firstly, taking admission in JMI doesn't remain the same easy task which use to be, considering the 25K application failing each year from last 3 consecutive years.
Still if you want to take admission, Its all depend on yours circumstances.
Last year I also opted JMI over sub tier 2 NLUs based on NIRF ranking [it was 7 earlier].
Key consideration that makes me to do so;
1) Location advantage:
- You won't believe it; if you want to pursue corporate, SAM, DSK, Induslaw, Ahlawat and many firms have their office within 4 KM of radius.
- New friends colony & Defence colony (heaven of & for boutique firms) are 3 KM & 7 KM far respectively.
2) Accessibility to different judicature:
- Honorable Supreme Court, 9.8 Km
- Honourable Delhi HC, 8.1 Km
- 7 district courts:
a) Tis Hazari Courts
b) Patiala House Court
c) Rouse Avenue Court
d) Karkardooma Court
e) Saket Court
f) Rohini Court
g) Dwarka Court
- 10 Tribunals:
a) Appellate Tribunal for Electricity
b) Central Administrative Tribunal
c) Competition Appellate Tribunal
d) Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal
e) Cyber Appellate Tribunal
f) Income Tax Appellate Tribunal
g) Railway Claims Tribunal
h) Debt Recovery Tribunal
i) National Company Law Tribunal
j) National Green Tribunal
3) FEES;
No law school can give you a well reputed degree for the nominal fee of 9,600 per year within the geographical & extra-geographical boundary of India.
4) RCA:
If your interest is titled by CSE, you can avail internal quota in RCA & congratulations then you've 27% probability that you can crack it, in comparision of 1.7% success rate of any renowned extravagant coaching.
5) Interdisciplinary environment:
You'll get to meet people from diverse disciplines, & it's very much possible that they can be your potential client or can act as yardstick to bridge you & a far client.
6) 10th Semester exclusive for internships:
You'll get almost 6 crucial months during your ultimate year of graduation to go through as many as (Assessment based) internship, without any headache for a single day of class during those last semester.
Coming to placement, there is no guarantee from the administration perhaps because of their traditional approach to build JMI, a factory for judges. But there exists an implied guarantee that if you'll do smart work, you can make grandiose connections that can ultimately ensure that you'll get PPO beforehand.
Hope you'll find this useful, take a risk in the life, do something out of the box & you'll thanks me later.
The moment you enter law school, just forget about your rank be it 1 or 1000. Work hard, acquire skills, work on your development.
P.S: These are the things that you will cherish later in life, so stop being judgmental.

Or it's possible only with disputes
I am at very problematic stage of my career and would highly appreciate any of your tips and guidance as probably even career counsellors are too busy selling their extravanagnt courses to students like me, and thy aren't quite happy with the idea of ppl like me not falling for their tomfoolery , anyway here it goes.
I am a General Corporate , M&A and Banking Finance enthusiast , having graduated from a s**T a*ss college in 2023 (by the description, you might have realized how bad it is - no placements , no intenrship support etc.etc.) . I am deeply interested in the aforementioned paractice areas, however , wherever I am applying, I getting responses like "We need someone with at least 1 year of Experiece" , experience", which I am not able to fulfil unfortunately , although had i been a relation of HG Wells, I would have borrowed the Time Machine from him , went ahead in time, did my exp. and came back to fulfill their criteria. Which i do not have presently .
Now , All I am getting are assessment internships , with no real job conversion protentional or even worse, regular internships. Now i would like suggestions that what should I do at this point? Should i go about another year just interning , considering i have reasonable experience in the practice area but since the market norms are very strict , I am helpless, or shall I switch to another practice area for the sake of livelihood and a decent designation (P.S. Assessment interns/trainees are more or less like the accurate embodiment of the famous hindi saying " Dobhi ka k*** , na ghar ka na Ghat ka). I was considering doing llm from Jindal or Symbi , but considering the slim to none placement prospects there, I have decided to save the masters for another day (probably ill give CLAT again for a Top NLU or go for NISM) .
I am sure there are a lot and lot and lot and lot and HELL lot of students like me who are stuck in a precarious position of not getting placed through college, and not having a litigation background , so kindly offer me with any sort of reasonable solution to the problem .I shall be highly thankful to you . I was also considering joining LPOs and Consultancy services given they are meant for freshers only, but now not in favour very much since they do not have growth prospects later (albeit I can be wrong in my assesement also so no strict decisions) .
P.S. i am writing this question my appointment with a well-known career counsellor got rescheduled as he/she was simply 'busy' and decided to rescheduled the appointment for day after tomorrow.
Thanks

I must say don't judge our whole batch because of a few overly excited kiddos trying to do this intro stuff.
go off, do your thing.
Link 1 - https://paste.pics/OHAJN
Link 2 - https://paste.pics/OHAI6
PS - I know this person personally - I'm privy to her conservation with the "strategic teams" (just a fancy name for HR btw). She only enquired about the CTC and work hours and whether she would have time over weekends. Basic stuff she wanted to formalise before accepting officially. After being told they'd get back to her, her offer was rescinded.
Cringe intros in no way equate to lack of academic rigour.
