We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.
Therefore, in using the site, you must agree to do your best to uphold these community guidelines.
Note that what you find here is written and moderated by anonymous people on the internet.
Therefore everything you read here is very likely unverified, rumour, speculation and/or downright false.
In continuing to read anything here, you must therefore agree not to take anything you read here as factual and that you will exercise due caution, diligence and common sense before acting on any information you may come across here.
You also agree to report any inaccurate or malicious comments with the buttons. Moderators take action within 24 hours, as required and appropriate under law.

Do you solemnly agree to all of the above?
Atleast that way you would have been able to publish the list of predators that you have moderated as “contested”
Avoid tempting places (going on a smoke break with associates and not smoking).

for oxbridge you will also have an interview for all ug discipline, most other unis only take interviews for medicine and allied subjects, although lse did take interviews for ug law a few years back
Reportedly being considered for the Anandpur Sahib Ludhiana seat. Historical if it happens. He will become the ever NLU grad to get a Lok Sabha ticket and that too from the biggest party. All the more impressive is that he is a non-nepo kid (unlike the girl from NLSIU who recently won in Karnataka). Winning will be very difficult, but he may have an outside chance if BJP ties up with Akali Dal again and if Congress and AAP split the anti-BJP/anti-Akali vote. In fact, this happened in 2014. AAP and Congress each got around 29% vote share and Akali Dal (with BJP support) won with 31% vote share.
I am looking for good clat coaching classes which have proven with their results. LegalEdge in Bhopal used to be one of those but recently have heard that is has become commercialized. Any suggestions? Not looking for chains like CL & Time.

The picture at TNNLU does seems to be decent considering this is a bonafide post. Can equate TNNLU to the range of NLU-O and NUALS.
Most Prominent people in the State Government come from Nagpur.
Nagpur has support from the Biggest Politicians in the State and the Centre.
The Bias is justified because Nagpur has been neglected for too long (since years of previous governments which focused only on Mumbai and Pune.)
Since, Nagpur now remains the hotbed of development in Central India, Opportunities are bound to come by someway or the other.
Nagpur now has almost every institution of national importance.
Trolls here may spit venom saying no law firms want your grads. Chill.
Our Ministers have successfully tied up with Investors from Dubai and overseas to create a new business ecosystem in Nagpur (Read more about SEZ MIHAN). Their expansion plans scale higher than budgets of Tier 2-3 cities.
MNLU Nagpur is expected to find employment in the new projects that are coming from Overseas in MIHAN SEZ.
I don't think MNLU will have to remain dependent on 'marquee' traditional law firms; Nagpur is changing; The economy is blooming and Trolls on Legally India are sleeping in their sweet dreams thinking that MNLU is shit.
In essence, MNLU Nagpur is surely an exceptional case if external economical factors are considered. Surely there is fertile ground for growth there too.
It now depends on the Administration, how they maneuver through the opportunities and sail their way. Possibilities of them failing in this job aren't eliminated still, but given the factors hope, of growth is clearly visible.
Again, people who are not from Maharashtra, needn't make hue and cry on the internet by simply reading articles and posts on Legally India (This platform can no longer be trusted). Dude, wake up to reality. We are Maharashtra The biggest economy as a state in the entire country. Mumbai is our City and you know the rest. Unlike other states, we are already in the biggest economy (as a state) in the country.
Dividing on the basis of States isn't my job. I too love my Nation more than Maharashtra but the Trolls on this platform won't listen the other way.
Imagine NLU Nagpur's ranking when it gets its campus ready and fully functional. Go find images of the prospective campus on Abin Studio website. NIRF significantly considers campus and infrastructure in their ranking. (NIRF being good or bad is a different debate.) FYI : JNU comes 2nd in India even when they feature no great placements. Campus is the reason (1000+ acres) !
PS: MNLU Nagpur has been closely working with SAM. Go check LinkedIn. SAM partners are judging their in house competitions and are giving lectures there. Ask me for links. You'll find MNLU Nagpur's post on both SAM's and NLU's LI page.

Close your eyes and take HNLU
best of luck
The only reason for getting a foreign MBA is either to settle outside, or wanting a foreign degree, or having flexibility later in life to work in a foreign country. Foreign degree in India fetches you the same compensation as an IIM degree/diploma. Even with a foreign MBA you will be hired for the same position as an IIM grad. The only difference will be that you'll have spent more than 5x amount as an IIM grad.
There might be some outliers but this is the general trend.
Do not get a foreign MBA if your main priority is working in India.
NLSIU>NALSAR>NUJS>NLU-D>NLUJ>GNLU>SLSP>JGLS>NLUO>NLIU
Barring these top 10, go for: GLC, ILS, HNLU, RMLNLU, NUALS or TNLU.
Please avoid: NMIMS, Amity and its counterparts.
Graduating at 25. Pretty happy with it. Depends on your average batch range and mine was 24. It was very smooth.
I have a story where the student was initially given an assessment after graduation but was not hired due to no vacancy, this was intimated during the last week of the assessment period. Thereafter, due to the student's work performance, a Traineeship for 6 months was given till there is any vacancy. But the said traineeship was cut short to three months (intimated 20-25 days prior) due to not being able to meet their branch financials. Now, the firm has hired someone else.
Thank you so much for your inputs. I am cent percent sure that I want to pursue a career in corp law. It's just that, at the moment, I'm not able to gauge/chalk out whether I'll have good or at-least reasonable outcomes at the end of my 3 year LLB. As far as NLS 3 year LLB is concerned, well, it started just a year back in 2022, which means no data is available insofar as the placements are concerned because the pioneer batch will graduate in 2025. I have other career avenues which I can explore, but I really really want to go for this program. It's really disheartening to learn that I won't be getting the same opportunities as the folks at 5 year LLB programs. Since this is a new program no one can say for sure how things will pan out. I just want to make a well informed decision because 3 years is a long time and I'll have to take into account the opportunity cost associated with this direction if I chose to go ahead. Thank you for helping me out tho. Really appreciate your help.

Remember taking the lnat is always preferred along with your UCAS application. Pay the fee at a requisite time. Previous year it was very reasonable for me. So that won’t cost a lot.
Coming to your question - the CLT exam which was required for Cambridge has been waived off by the university itself. They accept LNAT only. So don’t worry about it.
And yess, that's exactly what we want - fixed hours, fixed employment and fixed salaries! Get on with the times. Stop living in 1985.

More than half of the batch regrets taking up this mess of an institution without considering all the factors in light of the same. The Navi Mumbai campus is worse and the same cannot be argued for very obvious reasons.
If you are not at NLS then focus more on getting internships, which would be tough tho!
None of the other reasons you mentioned yo justify AILET is convincing or objective. As for NLSIU, they didn't hold NLAT after that, right? All NLUs are free to exit CLAT now, but they didn't. Only NLUD remains outside. That's because of greed, simple.
Topping at a place like NLS is a whole different ball game to doing well at NALSAR. Even more so now since NLS will have a massive 300-odd batch in the BA LLB course. The toppers in such a course could destroy other toppers from NALSAR/NLUD/NUJS any day.
Also, any recommendations on how to prepare for it beforehand (I’ve not interned with a Projects team before).
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
Among the nicest ones is Deepak Jodhani. Extremely considerate and appreciates good work — but doesn't tolerate nonsense. Similarly, if you can maintain hectic deadlines, Purti is a brilliant person to learn from!
Otherwise, in general, I've heard great reviews of GC5 & GC2, too.
The OP can atleast make an anonymous Twitter ID and post the sensitive information under #MeToo, and then the link can be shared to this thread too. I don't think it'll really affect LI's policy adversely. Is that doable @LegallyIndia_Mod?
I mean, there has to be further inspection on this, right?
This article shows that Luthra and Luthra’s profit margin were almost 30%

If SAM and CAM make revenues of around 1000 crores and most of the equity is owned by the
Shroffs as mentioned in the court filings of Shardul Vs Cyril Shroff wouldn’t they each be making close to 300 crores
Go search the Delhi high court website for matters pending against AZB and see the co-relation with Amazon
Good to know that clat has become influential enough to make headlines. But never imagined such ▮▮▮ practises on part of coaching
there is competition between NUJS and NALSAR for no. 2 and 3 positions
I can imagine a girl with absolutely no or money marginal money getting married (not easily) to a fairly decent-doing guy.
But can you imagine a guy with absolutely no money or marginal money getting married to a fairly decent doing girl??
You may ignore to acknowledge wide gaps in social notions of these gender in dating and marriage but it will not cease to exist.
that being said, as i cant take the risk of monetary issue while dating those girls who look for sugary things and not into anything serious, and if you're earning HUGE money where you can take those risk, being a guy dating is not existent for you and that's why i think i will have good money at may be 30-32 but at that time my dating pool would even gets narrowed and narrowed and society's judgement lens would even widen, that's why i feel i would be in her shoes in few years down the line and since being a guy i would have probably worse situation than her.
As in, what if someone mentions that their goal is to become the CJI/Law minister/ Prime minister. Are answers along these lines seen as frivolous?
These sort of discussions are what makes legally India what it is, instead of those rabid nirf discussion or whatever that armpit fetish post was.
NLS again wins and if this goes on then there will be a substantial difference between NLS and the other nlus. So jealous
Over the course of 7-8 years , tier-2 ppl have to be careful as well
