Loya sir yaad hai na...
- a localite who went to see the match.
I tried using plenty of dating apps but most of the men there are so creepy that there's no way I could ever interact with them. I always wanted to be a mother and have my own biological children. Dating my colleagues is not possible because my firm has a rule against two people working who are related in any manner. Another issue is, I know how restrictive marriage can be for women. There's so many men who put up a fake mask to impress girls, and show their true self later on. Pokey in-laws is another burden I'd like to avoid.
Lately, I have been thinking of two options. Firstly, having children out of wedlock. Apart from societal constraints, I feel it'd be hard to raise a child as a single parent who is almost always occupied with work. The other one is, to wait and give more time, but the biological clock is already ticking for me.
On another note, our case becomes the classic 'no internship-> no job' , 'no job->no internship/relevant work ex'. As far as drive is concerned , we can only show you drive once our internship is confirmed. Not before.
The original post did mention that our state does not have any law firm or independent practitioner (even the title highlights that). People like me have applied to many places but not getting any response.
Constructive comments help you are just repeating the same thing like everybody else.

Bumble should give you decent options. Go out on dates and see if you can vibe with the person.
Even if it doesnot work out romantically, you still can make a good friend or more out of that person

Kya law firm mai kaam karte ho kya jo dimaag hila hua hai aapka?π
Also, a lot of other factors are considered while nominating a lawyer for elevation to a HC, not just 20 years of practice - IYKYK.
I now find the hype around NLUs have made the freshers quite difficult to work with. Although some of them do come with the advantages of better education, their bad attitude is not worth it. I would much rather recruit from non-NLUs, local Unis because most of law can be taught to A0s. You just need diligence, and in the beginning, have to be willing to make it your entire life.
NLU or Non NLU, you will always get some chance, somewhere, and once you have a foot in the door, you will need to demonstrate your diligence. Rest of the doors will open automatically.
The controversy has left the class divided, the first law department student said. βMost of us were unhappy about activity around the dating app. However, when [Dalwai] got trolled and attacked over the Palestine lecture, she found support among the students,β they noted.
Around 40 students from different classes have submitted testimonies to the Haryana Womenβs commission in support of Dalwai. ....
βShe is an upright and straightforward professor but she has been misunderstood,β the third student said. βShe wanted to make us understand how the intersectionality of caste and gender applies in our lives.β

I have recruited so many people from such backgrounds but they showed drive/persistence.
1. Karanjhawala
2. Kachwaha
3. Keystone (among new gen clientele especially)
4. SAM & Co disputes practice
Then other T1 firms' disputes practice (KCO, TL, AZB, CAM)

This dude is Ayn Rand on steroids though. He wants to abolish the central bank, abolish all bureaucracy and legalise trade in human organs.

From CLAT 2025 onwards, highly likely this change will be brought in.
one day
Shreyas and Shubhman Gill - Irresponsible out
Rohit Sharma - needed to be more careful, this was not any other match
Kohli - same thing
KL Rahul - waste
It's very easy to say things after match is over but had they introduced Ashwin and still lost y'all would be saying why tinker with the winning combo.
Also in the past matches Shiraj wasn't getting wickets and was leaking too many runs, and because the total was low they wanted early. Wickets that's why they got Shami early, unfortunately it didn't work.
Also Ahemdabad Crowd is so bad, they stop cheering for players when the game seems to be going on the other camp, it was painful seeing Kohli asking them to cheer.
Also I told you my reasoning behind why I consider ABS fraud.
Just tell me what's GNLU's contribution is on someone getting a scholarship in first year of college? GNLU didn't prepare them for the interview, their premier schools did.
You donβt even know yet if youβd like your job enough to stay put for long. So yes, have some patience and you might not know but you can 100000 do without a car immediately out of college. This upwards of lakh high horse attitude needs to be studied.
Trilegal, I have seen Bombay and Delhi offices giving out PPOs in Disputes, but not so generously, very selective.
I suppose harvey weinstein and bill cosby could argue that lots of comedians have done shady stuff but why are they being singled out- it must be antisemitism/ racism- except its just not the case.
I suggest we don't make Gods out of cricket team in India. Imagine NZ and Aus loosing and not being accountable to 1.5 billion? I don't think Australia Law website like LI would have discussed their loss had they lost lmao.
We try to hide our failures in other sports by our attempts at silverware from our cricket which is no doubt world-class. But the added pressure just suppresses then even more and it's a vicious cycle.
Still feel Aus as a nation is one of the strongest mental sides across sports, it's in their culture. Sadly the Gujju crowd and Gujju state was in attendance only for photos and insta snaps, pure show of no cricketing heritage.
Note- If 2011 and period thereon has been a sign of rise of India as a cricketing superpower and yet it's Aus who has the WC twice, in such case we can assume India might still go on to dominate cricket for the next 100 years but what Aus has done for the last 100 till date is nothing short of legendary.
BCCI is a shambly run org and with the funds we have india should maybe have become undefeatable or v close to that, the funds distribution even in top 3 nations is vv vastly in our favour.
For me Rohit Sharma deserved the man of the tournament given his change in approach and he was the captain as well. Kohli again legendary but a tad selfish in several phases (didn't hurt the team thankfully).
Proud of Indian team and not the board, but the years of RCB fandom will surely help me cope this better.
No shame in accepting Aus > India in cricketing heritage and clutch performances from players who aren't treated as God but are nothing short of being one. We lose due to players worshipped as God but can't show up on festival due to everyone praying for their visits. :)
1. BITS Law βΉ60 lacs
2. IIULER βΉ60 lacs
This includes tuition, hostel, and mess. If reasonable personal expenses are added for the five years, the total cost would be around βΉ75 lacs. How many years to βΉ1 crore?
Terrifying or terrific?
On another note, I feel this halal concept is alien to Indian Muslims. It is a practice promoted by the orthodox Arab clergy and exported worldwide. I don't think the average Muslim cares.
And not just pitch, but the entire field. Players go for a skid in order to stop a ball, aur soil ukhad ke bahar aa jaata hai.π
1. Slow innings by KL Rahul (always maintained he's overrated and a statpadder)
2. SKY (another overrated guy)
3. Non-selection of Ashwin instead of Siraj: would have strengthened both batting and bowling
4. Nonsensical decision to give Shami the new ball and promote Jadeja to 6, changing previous patterns.

You are mentally sprinting and probably dealing with 100 issues at your law firm job, so when you come back home, you need immediate respite, which is why several people often turn to drinking or other harmful activities. This gets worse when you see your peers/ friends having fun on Instagram while you are miserable at home.
Actionable advice: Join a yoga session, dance class or some cycling group. You can also try going for the weekend excursions organised by local groups (Several groups on Instagram - just search them)
The idea here is to join some group where:
1. You have a guide/ mentor actively teaching you and tracking your progress and checking up on you (unlike most seniors at law firms)
2. You have a peer group of your age with whom you can bond in a social casual setting, and talk about something apart from work (as corporate settings does not always allow us to let our guard down)
Keep these two things in mind, and I'm sure you will notice a mood shift.
All the best!
What have we elected as our PM?
Hope this helps
1. Recruiters cannot help as they mostly post for vacancies from PQE 1,
2. Tap alumni network: Try reaching out to your college seniors and ask if there is vacancy for you in their team
3. Tap friend network: If you have friends from other colleges, ask them about vacancies in their team
4. Partner specific: If you have any particular partner in mind, try reaching out to the SA/ PA in the team. You may even try to directly email the partner (Not the best way, but I know people who have got in through this approach. If they reject you/ dont respond, you have nothing to lose)
5. In house: Lot of companies hire A0s for Inhouse, so you can try connecting with the legal counsels in In House positions to get a sense if they are hiring
All the best!
Ps- Before the sparky comments come in, I'm just asking cause The toxicity among my batch is at an all time high and I'm questioning everything rn(my mental health issues aren't helping my sanity either lol)
Jokes apart, I feel the Blues played well. Special marks to Kohli tho. And Aussies good game!
