Hahaha .. samvad is the king when it comes to delaying stuff to the last point.

It's a standard practice at samvad don't worry don't loose hope. Keep following up till the last date.
Drop your anonymous email.

Will help you out on weekend
Hey I have been offered a 10 LPA in a law firm. What would be the amount I would be getting in hand per month?

I am not able to understand. Somebody please explain.
haha I think thats ridiculous. Israeli military strategy is not going to be based on student protests. Its going to be based on what is best for them tactically and what is best for the hostages.

Post hoc ergo propter hoc. Do you know what that means?
Hi, OP here, if I go with Mr. Seksaria, would I be doing drafting or briefing? Thanks for your reply
Any good lawyers - district/high court in Delhi who will accept 1st/2nd year students with a not-so-impressive CV (especially criminal), also would we face a problem considering these subjects are not taught to us yet
Definitely not a month. No 24 year old lawyer anywhere in the world makes 600k a year.
I will be joining a T1 firm in a few months. Just wanted to know if the firms give joining bonus to upcoming associates for settling in the new city, rent, etc. What are other perks?
on and average its always great to know, if your are underpaid or paid at par.
so that it will be easy to negotiate with the firm and to be at par with the peers.
Well, the Americans use the really old floppy disks on the computers which have the programmes to control their nuclear launchpads (not trolling here BTW, look it up).
Yes, I did as well. Got an internship with Indus through direct application to HR. It's completely on your luck though, provided you have a good CV.
Currently making 1.3L per month (pre tax and pre promotion) at a Tier 1. Started off with 25K per month in 2021 working in house, worked my way up to a tier 2/3 law firm and eventually joined a tier 1 firm. Hoping with the promotion will make around 24-25L this year.
A hell lot of seniors from IPM got into top B schools like LBS, Bocconi, FMS etc. from NALSAR IPM. Not so long ago, i saw NALSAR IPM being made fun of and judged brutally. Do you have anything to say now? Yes you the jealous lot!!!
Hi, BO24 and joining T1 lawfirm soon. Which laptops are recommended for fast work which are compatible for citrix/law work?
Yes. Use your bonus figure you may have gotten at the existing firm to negotiate for the signing bonus.
Yes. Why not. If they are desperate for you then they will give. If not, then they will tell you to shove off! Waise why do you think that you are entitled to a sign on bonus?
You will have to work hard and show good work product. If that is not at par, you too will end up in the same boat.

All the best.
Imagine - you go to recruitment after completing your course and say that you are from Galgotia university. Galgotiya bhi koi naam hota hai.
lol suraj yengde for understanding the constitutional matter. if you would have suggested the Mp singh write-up then it would have been better
Don't read these decades old books. Times have changed. Better read STEM.

Ignore if you're a nepo kid.
Please don't say such stuff on a specific personal post - the point is to give OP hope, not mock him
famous as NLU Dhankaur aka "NLU-D" or kya review chaiye ab
also following up
wtf u mean you "only" achieved a double digit rank, that puts you literally above 99.8% of CLAT takers, have some confidence in yourself
Which of the two would be better? I'm aware both are shit but which one is less shit? And please don't suggest jgls and symbi because there's a reason I'm asking this, I can't afford either of those two. Urgent advice required, please help
I don't have the exact status but his case in the Calcutta High Court is ongoing. It will take some time. For whatever reason, he was a nice guy trapped in bad political space. I wish him all the best
So as I understand pay at these LPO’s is relatively quite lower compared to retainer fees paid at Tier-1.

For vertical like immigration of UK/Canada/US, after spending 4 years can someone switch to a Tier-1 and if so which teams.

Please advise
Hi, I have applied for an internship with Samvad Mumbai for July. On following up with the hr she said, July internship confirmations will only come out by June 2nd week. Is this an indirect way of saying you aren't getting the internship or is there really a chance?
Depends which private college. Jindal and Symbiosis Pune like top 5-6 NLUs. Other decent private colleges like Nirma, Christ, KIIT, Symbiosis Noida/ Hyderabad or VIPS, you can expect same as tier 3/4 NLUs
Can you help me draft a Partnership Agreement for running a restaurant business where name of the restaurant will be different than name of the Partnership?
With the unemployment levels being what they are, finding someone who fits that description would be akin to finding a unicorn🦄
NUJS with the current state of affairs and funding issues.
GNLU will do better.

NLS if they are not able to manage their 3 yr LLB
How is the banking and finance practice in SAM Mumbai? I am interested in this field. Thinking of putting it as my first preference on the application form. Please shed some light on the team's work culture and quality of work.
Ah well, you're right about that; I misspoke but my point still stands. I did also clear both exams. If not knowing some technicality of admissions means I didn't clear the exam, God help me! My degree and PPO will be invalidated soon
Are you paying rent/staying alone? Have an education loan? Your saving rate would depend on lot of factors.

I would say try saving around 15k-20k if you are getting 60k in hand.
It truly is a hit or a miss. Only the people who've got in know how random it is
What do you even mean man

Pl stop these posts before we all file a petition to remove wifi access in NLUs.
Can someone shed light on the team and work of Justin Bharucha at Bharucha & Partners? Heard they have a great environment to learn and grow.
As a lay reader, you will be able to understand some chapters fully and most of the chapters partially. In any case, it is a good book to read.

Revisit the book after a few years, you will see that your understanding has improved.
Idk if it leads to failure objectively, but not being humble makes you not appreciate things you have, relationships that you foster, etc. You probably won't have a fulfilling life. I can atleast say the same for myself.
You sound absolutely wonderful and just so nice! This thread is the most wholesome thing I’ve come across all day, thank you for initiating discourse on this topic :)
Bumpp.

Currently an A1 with a disputes team in a T1 firm. The culture and team is toxic and I don't think Disputes is for me.

So want to explore or switch to other practice area probably Banking and Finance.

Any help on this topic would be appreciated
where can i expect the ppo more from?

a tier 2's headquarter office or another tier 2's regional office? does the place of office increase or decrease the chance of getting ppo?
Can anyone tell me what the updated salary at Crawford Bayley is for freshers and A1?
nah - not being humble causes you to overestimate yourself by varying degrees, may even lead to boastful nature, thus more eyeballs. As long as you walk the talk, you're good. Eg: Emi Martinez and his 'shithousery' in front of French teams XD
I want neither. Neither of them are interested in improve the legal profession. We need an honest, apolitical and sincere person.
mostly questions from the specific team. You might get some related questions. CV and your internship work is the most important, followed by very basic general knowledge of all other fields.
..or "aspiring".

And for god sakes, stop sending connection requests to partners.
You're making 50k usd a month and want to take advice from random people on LI?.

Even assuming it's inr it's probably best to do your own research and not look for answers on LI.
May have been true had it worked for one or two firms, but to get through all 4 of those through HR alone does sound too good to be true.
Drop the names. Is it NLS, NALSAR, NUJS, NLIU or GNLU? NLUJ isn’t that impressive I have heard
As I did not get any acceptance to corporate internships, can I start afresh my corporate law journey after graduation ?

I want a wfh/ hybrid work setup which is not possible in litigation hence the question.
Not sure if it's the right forum to ask this. But does not being humble about your success and gains eventually leads you to failure in some way?
it is the opposite of liberalism to claim that people must all think alike or be called bigots. Liberalism at its core is about freedom of speech and thought- even to think and speak dangerous heretical ideas such as males are not women.
A tier one law college with numerous t1 placements and training contracts
The 2025 batch has been doing amazing. Both PPOs and Vac Schemes
Easily the best lawyer, but probably not the best or easiest to work with.
Sitesh, ex-Trilegal. Now independent. But is he still doing regulatory litigation?
