Perhaps it is just me and my rather old-fashioned idealism, but isn't this time for greater dialogue and openness? Isn't cutting off ties just cutting off possibilities for the exchanging of scholarly ideas and views? Isn't it better to challenge injustices of all kinds collaboratively, regardless of difference in habit or language, through dialogue and open exchange of ideas rather than boycotts etc.? And even if such means are resorted to, do you really think this will influence government policy?
That's a stupid thing to ask. Universities are not government. TAU has no role whatsoever in the crisis. That's a prestigious university and loss will be that of India.
TAU is ranked within the top tier of Asian law schools in QS. They have top class faculty and a lot of top Jewish-American profs at Ivy Leagues fly down to give guest lectures here. Jindal’s loss if it snaps ties.
It DOES hero stop the war in Gaza. India is an important ally of Israel and Ashoka, NLSIU, Jindal etc are the elite colleges of India producing future leaders, just like Harvard in the US. Protests in these colleges will make Israel think twice. Israel has already withheld from bombing Rafah after the Ivy League protests.
haha I think thats ridiculous. Israeli military strategy is not going to be based on student protests. Its going to be based on what is best for them tactically and what is best for the hostages.

Bro... Honestly idts a petition like this is possible in Jindal or would get possible support... Would probably lead to few students getting DC's or worse suspension. Jindal is currently rulling with an iron fist and anyways students only care about booz and gate pass
