As I have said previously, NFSU does not need or want validation on this platform. NFSU is far too big for that. Remember my India-Pakistan analogy. Asking about NFSU on this platform is like asking Pakistan about India. It does not take a genius to know what kind of responses one would get. Abhi toh party shuru hui hai. Big announcements and developments in NFSU will keep coming in and I will continue to share as appropriate.
It’s because Sidharth Chauhan is beloved. He’s incredibly fair minded and he’s very good at getting students to do their best and he’s mentored so so many people. He builds institutions. I don’t know how else to say it - he’s beloved. The students who worked with him / took his classes at both institutions will know what I’m talking about - it’s impossible to sit in those rooms with him and not have affection for him. It’s not personal charisma either- it’s that he’s stuck around and done his best and brought his best self to work every day for more than ten years now.
Nalsar was far better off with him than they were without him. I think it’s about the only really good thing Mustafa did - to hire chauhan. Without him - I really worry for the students , the place is gonna sink considerably now.
I was in nalsar before and after chauhan came- my goodness it felt like he was saving us from ourselves. I was about to quit law school and I stayed because of him.
I can’t quite explain it- but I’ll use a metaphor Chauhan taught me. There are friendships of pleasure and utility, and then there’s friendships of the truest kind- friendships of virtue. That’s when people like you for your character and you make each other become better people.
So with professors - there are professors you will enjoy for a short time and they won’t have impact on you and vice versa , and there are professors who you will see as valuable only in what they can do for you- and they will see you as valuable only in what you can do for them. And then there’s chauhan who will like you for your character and give you the best advice without assuming he can tell you what to do or expecting that you will listen to him , he will show you how to be your best self and how to invest in the project of self improvement, and whether it’s in firms, in litigation , in academia or even in a non law career - he will be glad to know that you’ve done well because he cares about you doing well. It’s a rare thing.
My brother in Christ. Even RML, RGNUL, HNLU and NLUO with several years of being "on rise" couldn't touch NLIU. All of the above-mentioned colleges place 50x more than DNLU.
Jabalpur has a HC, so has many cities. There is no point going to a college which has no structure. I've had friends in both the graduating batches, the batch of 2023' is still struggling to find foot and batch of 24' placed 2-3 people and rest are either placed in places that you'd only work because of circumstances or aren't anywhere close to workplace.
DNLU hasn't won anything major, their faculties are hot and miss, and location is actually a disadvantage. There is no way someone would leave Nirmal or NMIMS for DNLU.
Also the fees is at par with private colleges. Not every NLU is actually a NLU
it is a lifetime experience.. don't miss it for anything
No single student in your batch 2022-27 BComLLB Hons was given admission without qualifying LSAT-India Test and the cutoff determined by Admissions Committee.
Bar Council of India approves seats for law school. No Vice Chancellor can get on his own.
If you are still in confusion, just walk into the new Admissions Office T1 Ground floor and check the full class LSAT score and admission status. Meet Aditya Anand incharge of 5 year law programme admissions.
Don't spread falsehood about your own institution. This misguides prospective students and parents.
Also do they have any other perks like laptops or anything else?
Honourable mention: Adya Niraj. NLU Ranchi-IIMA-Miss India finalist-Kearney.
IMO they are more deserving of coverage than Vasuki Punj or Shivangi Desai. Vasuki Punj is just managing Mickey Punj’s business while Shivangi hasn’t won Miss India. She is just a contestant.
Any downsides/upsides of getting Bangalore and not NCR?
Although to be fair, having known him for five years, we had a rumour every semester that it would be his last at NALSAR. So nobody really took this seriously until he actually left.
Whereas there were other issues also that they talked about like easy to clear exams there, toxic people, issues with administration, old campus, etc. What are your views about it? And Is anyone aware till when can one expect new campus ( i have been allotted tier 3, might get jabalpur in vacancy rounds)
This is not a tort case, where there is an argument of contributory negligence, just so you know.
You can contact me on that address initially.
Bye.
I know a foreign citizen who went to NLSIU in the general merit list after writing the exam more than 20 years ago (this was so long ago that it was before the OCI scheme was even introduced, but he had a PIO card, which was the predecessor scheme to OCI - but I'm not sure if he was ever asked about it).
The juvenile court has three members. Two of them can hear a case. When the accused was brought to the juvenile court on Sunday, the appointed member and acting magistrate N.L.Dhanwade was the lone member granted the bail. One member alone cannot decide the bail plea.
No point in defending a justice system that is corrupt to the core, just because you are a part of it!
Mo Money Mo Problems!
(Paid positions are a must since I need to sustain myself in a T1 city, and my parents can't afford to pay for my living expenses for more than 2 months)
I started cold-emailing HRs four months back and reached out to some alumni, but so far, the response has been negative. I don't have a nlu background or enough experience but i am willing to put in the work to secure a law firm job/in-house role.
Any guidance will be of much help.

NALSAR back in the game, baby!! But more than the VC it's likely someone from the Congress govt in Telangana who pushed this, as the Banerji family have always been close to the Congress. Of course, Karnataka too has a Congress government, but I guess NLSIU already has an arbitration centre?

Isn't the pay like a mere pittance of like 8 to 10k pm
FYI the most famous law school alum beauty queen is Vasuki Sunkavalli, who did her LLB from Symbi Pune and LLM from NYU. She subsequently married the famous businessman Mickey Punj (founder of Punj Lloyd), got acting opportunities in movies and shows and now runs a gelato brand called Frozen Fun. She has ben profiled by Hello Magazine (below).

Statutory right? Yes.Fundamental right? No.
2. Improve public health infrastructure. Increase the budget of health and offset maybe from other items that are not immediately necessary.
3. Create a ministry to strategize and take centralized action on climate change, global warming and other urgent environmental concerns on a priority basis.
4. Reduce governmental interference in educational institutions, and ensure academic freedom in all institutions of higher learning. Give better allocation of resources to all NLUs in an equitable and distributive manner. Help to push up NLUs that are struggling.
5. Bring in lane discipline, strict traffic rules, enforce anti-corruption and vigilance mechanisms, and work towards safer roads and better public infrastructure.
You want us to save time sheets? Maybe don’t promise stupid and stretched stuff. Simple.
So sick
But as they say there isn't smoke without some fire.
Anyone have a different view?

Received such a non-response from CNLU Patna and UNICEF Patna Office.
Were the end products really that bad? Because the work cannot be deemed as classified. No state secret.
Contrast this with NLSIU. Several of their sponsored projects are available online.
Also what is the scope for the area generally? Is it worth getting into such a niche practice area?
Do the partners at these firms primarily or rather only consider the relative importance of the person through whom the candidate has reached out to them? I know the question seems inappropriate but I am frustrated with the sheer hypocrisy as people with experience are simply not being given a chance (on the pretext of being too senior) and on the other hand inexperienced/people with little to no practical experience are rather preferred.
And is it a good time to move away from competition law as the practice does not seem promising despite all the amendments.
