1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.

men in 2024 :
You must accept the current scenario that you may not be the best qualified for a corporate law job. Please look for a good female mentor in litigation. Assist your mentor in client meetings, research, drafting, filing and court appearances. Your confidence levels, eye contact, body language, knowledge, etc., will all improve month by month. Your mental health too.
I’ve drawn a certain simple roadmap for the future with my desire to get placed with a senior advocate (the likes of Amit Sibal, Siddharth Luthra, Gopal Sankaranarayanan etc) that would pay me well enough post-graduation. I’ve absolutely zero contacts (pure first gen)
My plan initially involves learning the work from advocates who are not very famous, advocates with a very tight knit team where I get to be the part of each and every case with loads of work, especially in the fields where I find interest.
After that, I am thinking about working for AORs in my third and fourth year to build up legal acumen to support the senior adv in future. Post that I’d like to bombard senior adv for internships, assessments and stuff.
Is this the correct approach or should I make amends somewhere?
You will have apply individually to have any chance at all if you are lower than 50
Honest doubt is MBA not worth now for me.
I was watching a lot of TV shows and movies. Loved Sherlock. Loved that he could play the violin.
I got a violin from home. I wanted to be like Sherlock (tete te te tete te tee tete te te.. te te te te te te te te te te te te te te te taaaaay)
My roomie got sick and tired of me. Asked me to go outside and play. I went downstairs. It was chilly. I had just snorted the best coke that my gf scored from CDG. So I didn't feel very cold.
I walked around the campus for an hour. Whistling and occasionally trying to play Sherlock's theme. Saw a couple of people try to locate me through flashlight. It was from the faculty area / Girls Hostel. Place was deserted. Lot of echoing. So I laughed. I saw some people trying to walk towards me. Quickly scaled the wall and went to the fields. Started laughing in delight. Ran across towards the side where football field is now located. Made weird noises. Freaked out when I thought that I stepped over something. It was a friend who was on an LSD trip. I quickly peed on his face and ran towards my hostel room. An adventurous night it was.
Get your popcorn out.
The reports presents a rosy picture of the economy. So the million dollar question is whether there will be MEANINGFUL tax cuts tomorrow (as opposed to just a few thousand rupees worth of exemptions). 😟😟😟
The top 10-15 get internships solely based on the CGPA, other things don't matter much.
For the rest, other things start having more value.

1. How to submit the research you have been assigned? Any format?
2. How to ask for work? Should one approach the team members or email them?
3. Which font to use?
4. If given a due diligence task, how to go about it? Any format?
I understand the superficial pros and cons of GLC and ILS- Infrastructure, Attendance etc etc, and putting those into consideration, I have kind of sort of decided upon GLC. But should I reconsider? Does not having a proper campus impact college life, or the lack of, that much? Should I go to GLC considering my goal are 100% corporate oriented? I am ready to work my arse off during my 5 years, trust. Also, I do seem to enjoy that "fast paced city" life too, if that is anything to consider.
Please help a gal out, kind sir/maam!
“The Supreme Court ordered that the quota for veterans’ descendants be cut to 5 percent, with 93 percent of jobs to be allocated on merit. The remaining 2 percent will be set aside for members of ethnic minorities and transgender and disabled people.”

This was practically their version of the Indra Sawhney case. Prior to Indra Sawhney, when OBC reservation was announced, there were protests across the country, like in Bangladesh. ▮▮▮
Unlike the Bangladesh Supreme Court, our court upheld quotas and did not succumb to pressure from protesters. The court held that 50% seats would be allocated on merit and 50% through quota. But Tamil Nadu circumvented this cap through special legislation.

How much do you think a senior practicing primarily in the Delhi HC would pay their juniors? If the senior is taking around 1-2 lakhs per appearance and were designated in the past 5 years?
Thanks!
Also what course buddy 3 yr or 5 yr .

They are making it "mandatory" for interns to put them in contact with their faculty and placement committee and further to not remove their name from their linkedin internship section. One can remove them from one's linkedin internship section but you've to take "permission".

Having said that, it seems that toiling for the next five years with minimal pay seems to be the only way of succeeding in litigation.
if you can do long term internship then go for boutique firms
tier-1 too uncertain at least to start with
If you are doing really well in boutiques for go for the tier-1 firms but remember thats not where the best IP or media law work is happening anyway and their hiring volume in this genre is pretty low
