Hardly a former associate, he was working with the firm โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ, up untill one week prior to ending his life.
Not sure about "winning", but the team is very nice. The captain is very supportive, she's always looking for new joinees.
Are dispute resolution teams (Litigation & Arbitration, not ADR) paid well or are even valued in tier-1 or tier-2 firms? I heard they are often not paid as much as other departments like corporate.
That's not for LLM. LLM is for getting into legal academia. I agree with LLB students focusing on a job, since that's a qualifying degree.
Both firms are patent heavy, sure, they do a lot of trademarks as well, but if you're looking to get an assessment and want to really learn, go for Lal & Sethi.
That's a rubbish and make believe stats cooked for NIRF. When have they ever released LLM placement data from the university?
These are the confirmed pay ranges (source: I am in B&F and know a lot of colleagues who move around)

A0- 9 lakhs

A1- 11 lakhs

A2- 13 lakhs

These are all fixed, add 1-2 lakhs of bonus to this.
Avoid IP if money is the priority. Go for it of you're willing to settle for comparatively lesser amount of money (but not necessarily a comparatively better work life balance).
Base for AZB del A0 is 15 and minimum bonus is 2.5L which can go upto 40-45%
legally India be like, what do I do if you're sexually assaulted, I need to save my ass, go to court if you're. but then it invalidated claims are supposed to be treated like this than the whole mee too movement should have been shut right there.
right legally India?
We have a mental health session lined up out of the blue, something has happened for sure
Anand Jayachandran (CAM Bangalore) and Ramgovind Kuruppath (CAM Mumbai) - great lawyers and do top dollar deals too!
Has anyone got selected after the second round of case study? How long is the entire process taken ? After that do they confirm your internship or there's interview remaining?
Boutique law firm. A0. Start at 9:30. Get done by 8/9 PM everyday. 2-3 late nighters in a month for sure but overall great working hours.
NLIU Bhopal's Virudhka

GNLU student.... anybody know the reason? May his soul rest in peace.
Agreed - also Rishabh Jogani (MRP Advisory in Dubai), and Arjun Doshi (who's At Adani Airports now)
If 3 to 4 year PQE is a principal associate, then starting 'post'/'designation' must be senior associate!
Only sane answer. Stop racking up degrees in hope of a better job. Just start litigating anywhere and everywhere you can. Experience>degrees
Itโ€™s pretty fucking confirmed you shameless fucks. Itโ€™s โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ Publish this if you have even an iota of integrity you fucking pushovers.
Yes, you can apply

If u get an enrolment certificate then upload it

If not, no worries you can upload it later after results.

All the very best
In house, 5 and a half years experience. Depends, can be 2 hrs. or 12 hrs.

This month has been an average of 5-6 hrs. which is quite good
Can someone please shed light on how CAM FSRP team is?
in US. tech focussed folks can usually get work more than folks who do other specialisations.
I have a call back internship with Banking and Finance Team of Saraf and Partners in Mumbai. What's the current pay scale and growth in this field. What are the top earning partners in this practice area?
This, on the thread of a suicide of a fellow human being. Imagine how much law firms hollow you out, and imagine conversely how hollow people are who excel here.
Work experience. Work experience. Work experience. Stop collecting degrees and start proving you can work. Period !
Stay single only if YOU want to, get married only if YOU want to. Simple as. Economy has nothing to do with this. If you find a good partner, you will manage with or without income. For generations we have. Stop spouting BS here.
You're either not a lawyer or a very bad one. Signing away some rights is a slippery slope to signing away others. Unnecessary and excessive function creep by regulatory agencies must always be challenged, not acquiesced to.
What are some of the toxic thinking patterns you had, starting out as an associate in a T1, and how did you overcome them. To help you be more effective or stress free. Asking for a friend :3
I have ten years experience in GST Law. I have work experience from law firm and Big4. How do I transition to in - house legal team in a corporate. Looking to expand my profile to general corporate work.
That's too less though. What a PA is getting paid at S&A = what an SA is getting paid at a T1?
Sadly, the different league NLS faculty are not publishing or doing anything scholarly either. Chiefly because they are too busy coping with the triple workload imposed on them by Messiah.
He is going to be asked to return to work in a month or else be fired. He's worked at NUJS for 5 years and then taken a lien for another 12 years and counting now.
Yes except Abhisarโ€™s team sees attrition directly when she doesnโ€™t promote you after keeping you in loop :)

Karun and Dinwarkar are excellent no nonsense teams
A partner who does hardcore PE/VC will not take up a mandate for less than 1 crore. A partner who does start up PE/VC will do a song and a dance if he bills 5 lakh from a mandate.
SS Rana's starting salary for a fresher? Also, how is the work culture?
Bro calcutta me itne paise kamate lawyers? From what I've seen calcutta lawyers made even lesser than Allahabad lawyers.
GNLU median LLM placement salary is around 6LPA if I remember according to NIRF
Heard that the OG Real Estate Practice is joining CAM. Must be awaiting bonus!
Can you please share the name of a single trophy they have won?
Started at a salary of INR 15,000 per month in a lawyer's chamber in 2013. Am a partner at a T1 firm and current fixed plus bonus(assuming 100 percent recovery) is 1.05 Cr per annum
The GNLU students who are downvoting this should instead name their IPR faculty, their publication records, and the stats of their LLM placement.
Why didn't you complain to the CLAT observer? There's an NLU faculty at every centre as observer.
and by hunting people down and creating a culture of fear and awe, you are confirming the things mentioned in this as well as other threads.
I am in my fourth year and have internship confirmation from RK Dewan and Khurana and Khurana for the same month ? being from a non nlu in which firm will i have more chances for assessment internship ? and which one is better in terms of learning experience
Is it possible to get a job and do it well totally different from your internship experience ( disputes and lit) ?
How much days it takes to get the certificate from state bar council after enrollment?
And information about this firm ?

I have heard they do good Media and Entertainment. Any other reviews ?
Yes, it is true for some people working there.

I have seen their salary slip/contract.
How can i fill the registration form of AIBE if i am enrolled in state bar council but have not received the certificate yet?

Will i be able to register?

What option should i chose?
CAM has a specialized team. AZB too. Trilegal's TMT team handled regulatory work. Smaller TMT boutiques often do such work.
From the little I know about them - they're doing some high-quality construction and infra arbitration, and doing a good job at it too.
Nulldee is a dead campus with mediocre faculty and infra. IITKGP has undisclosed and likely zero placements for RGSOIPL LLM.

So clear winner is GNLU
Please give the reasoning too

What about labour, employment, taxation laws??
Have you seen the sheer number or comments marked as trollish and not published? Would you have such reviews if it was all โ€œgood thingsโ€ ?
Bad working hours, low quality work, very strange team dynamics with some PAs and SAs being overbearing and difficult.
Prateek is great IMHO. Havenโ€™t heard anything โ–ฎโ–ฎโ–ฎ about Priya Singh - her team is looking to hire tho.
Thereโ€™s finally a forum to be honest on and youโ€™re not hearing sugar coated reviews. :)
Idhar aake law firm chamber mat karo.

Rebel against our common enemy viz long working hours and no work life balance
Bring back the NLAT idea. Good opportunity to do it now. Time for NLSIU to have a pop at it again?
That's not bad. Litigation salaries for freshers vary from 25k to 45k lol.
Trilegal Fort Office - NJ and SP's teams specifically. A little toxic tho :(
Frankly mate, the way their mentality works means you are in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" position.
They do have quality young partners in Delhi Disputes team, such as Aseem Chaturvedi, Abhisar Bairagi, Karun Mehta, and Diwakar Maheshwari who're all good to work with, and also have relatively lower attrition rates.
Another issue is that total time depends upon the centre where exam is conducted. The center where I wrote CLAT used to give papers 20 minutes late
