Started by a few ex-NDA lawyers a couple of years ago, the firm seems to be mainly into PE/VC, M&A and fund formation deals, and gen corp advisory.

If anyone here has worked with the founders before, can you please share what working for them was like? I've generally heard good things about NDA trained lawyers, especially in terms of quality of work and the work culture, work life balance, etc. Also, if anyone can give a ballpark figure of how much they pay to A0s, that would be great.

As a former colleague, I can tell you that they're just the usual lawfirm-bros, who stay back late at work because they took 2.48 million smoke breaks and then spend the first half of the next day telling anyone who listens how late they were up. Also, the "senate", really? Little too pretentious, don't you think?

The majority of the anecdotes told me it's a good firm to work at. Don't get me wrong, it is, in terms of the exit time and the chill culture. You can leave at any time, even 2-3 pm, there are snacks, people play songs, there are frequent outings.

However there were few things that didn't cut it for me. One of the associates made my life difficult. This person was so passively aggressive and made absurd comments regarding the output. The work was not explained by this concerned person and when reached out to, was so indifferent about it.

One of the partners also has a habit of making rude comments unknowingly. He/she may not notice it, but it surely does affect a person.

Getting back to the work hours, you may leave at 2-3 but there is substantial amount of work, especially in the gen corp and banking teams. The exposure is great, but do not expect a chill time.

The pay is okayish, around 12lpa, I don't know the pay at higher levels.

The funds team seemed very chill and the people were nice too. Wish I interned with them, would have changed my perspective.

I think that's the case with literally all the firms. The work done is very mechanical at entry level (can be taught to literally anyone within 2-4 months, and i mean literally anyone), so it in that case, all the matters is vibe. If you vibe with the team and they like you, you're most likely to be recommended. This is not to say that your work does not matter, but it's not the sole criteria as well.
