Hi, is there any update on your application? I submitted mine more than a month ago and still haven't received any response.
How common? Like A0-A3 dating people 4-5 years younger? How common is it
Self explanatory title. Looking for a good office to intern (possibly make it a PPO) primarily at the Madras High Court. Decent pay (15-20/month), 12 hours of work a day-ish offices with a decent working culture.
A tier 3. Well buddy brace yourself for a 25k job for 12 hours of work at some tier 3 law firm at Delhi. We hire people from HNLU and TNLU for the same amount. A few days back a girl from HNLU offered to sleep with me in lieu of me not firing her. She's working just fine now.
Please can someone help me understand the tasks which an A0 does after joining a law firm?

And how to do these tasks in a manner satisfactory to the superiors?
Based on what I am hearing about treatment of staff (not lawyers, mind you) the management should hang their collective head in shame
Anyone capable of leaving will do so, and are looking. It's not luthra but atlas
It is sad to see such feedback for a team that was created by stalwarts with stellar reputation. Not sure what went wrong in their absence.
What a sorry state of affairs. Other than downvotes and indulging in whataboutery there is nothing else to say—credits to the OP for bringing forth the brutal truth and showing everyone the reality.
How do people find a job after just 6-9 months? I want to leave my firm too, do recruiters help or do you have to apply on your own?
Calcutta has a lot more corporates having registered offices than Lucknow or Allahabad. Stakes and volume is much higher than UP.

May change if Yogi continues for another 10 years, but does not seem likely.
Hey I am a fresher who is about to join CAM as an A0. I am really confused about the team I should join first during my rotation. I would ideally prefer something related to finance
Did internship in their general corporate and dispute team in Bangalore. I would say the work work environment is chill. Well for PPOs it depends upon whether their is a opening or not.
It's tax. Take time. You have opted for the field which requires patience. You'll make it.
No lol, thats why we're in talks for divorce rn, he doesnt even wanna move in house when the opportunities are open.
I was referring to GM, ATs team. And btw, you’re wrong about AS & Anjan. At present, they have lawyers doing great work, barely any attrition, check the stats.

But yes, GM, AT and HP are stars
No 19 lawyers are going along with Manmeet, 9 have decided to stay at Saraf / are moving to other firms. Only 10 (including him) are going along with him. This is a hard fact. I don't understand why this is being removed by LI.
That's almost 1/3 of the Partners gone and I'm guessing more than 50% of the revenue gone
This is actually wrong for the UN. You do need great academic standing from elite institutions to make the cut even with work experience - unless that work experience happens to be that you are foreign minister of a country.
Which corp team in Tri Ggn has a vacancy for an associate? Help your brother.
Ferrari, G Wagon, Porsche Cayenne are some of his present/ previous cars
The firm is nice. They give a stipend also which is performance based. The IPR team always has plenty of work. However the associate may appear to be snooty.
Any insight on the partners moving with Manmeet? How are they? How are the associates and team?
If someone's interested in corp/finance law, would the law school matter (in terms of culture of law school / if firms have pref.) within NLUs and some pvt law schools?
How is securities practice? Does it involve in-depth knowledge of finance and commerce? Can a BA LLB graduate do it easily?

He was a 1st year ▮▮▮ with seniors when the faculty accompanying them knocked the door, this scared the shit out of him and he tried going to some other room through the window, while doing this he fell.

Om Shanti
But within an attendance requirement of 75% in Indian colleges how can one stay away for 6 months?
we're all in the same boat buddy, even im making mistakes i never would have made as a 2nd yr law school intern

its a long learning curve, hang in there
What if the candidate has legal freelancing experience side by side while doing LLM?
OP,

You want validation and attention. Here you go

"Bravo! Bravo"

Bye. Let us adults do our work now. Shush now, go sit in the corner.
As a former induslaw associate, really enjoying the downfall, for all the trauma that has been given to me.

I prayed for this
Cut them out like a plague and don't think about them. If they are in your day-to-day, don't let their BS weigh on your thought development process at all.
Just to summarise :

Avoid: Ajay, Aakash, Sneha, Sahil, Kartikey, Priya

Aim for: Karun, Diwakar, Abhisaar
That is to say:

- Huge expansion in students and faculty

- Change in political ideology

- Future courses will be STEM-only, including new schools for medicine, dentistry and engineering.
Dean post means nothing. He doesn't get paid more because of that, nor will it help in his career growth or promotions.
It is quite high. You’ll read this thread and understand why.
Khaitan A2 here. (Noida)

Started at around 96000 INR in hand as an A0 and now I get close to 165000 INR in hand as an A2. Bonus last year was around 4 lakhs and expecting 6ish this year.
Such as? How to draft a patent claim? How to file an opposition? How to conduct IP valuation and management? Not really. The faculty there don't really know any such thing themselves, how are the gonna teach it to the students?
And you think the same thing is not happening in the central universities and IITs and IIMs? Because they are. But of course you have got your agenda. Once again, show a decent alternative to the NLUs to study law at in India now.
At present such clamours are valid. He has no intention ever coming back. Other faculty including Saurabh haven't been given any lien. He has been enjoying the lien for over a decade. If he comes back as VC, then that's different. Either way he should come back or resign.
Er...social media?

He isn't on FB or Twitter or Insta. He was on LinkedIn for 6 months during Covid to raise funds to send migrant labour back to their homes.

Shocking how facts can just be abandoned.
Just when you thought NLUs couldn't go any lower, these come. NLUs are in a race to the bottom.
Trilegal Fort office is definitely a place where you can maximise the chances of PPO since they actively hire A0 every year. 2 more partners sits there - CR and SR.
DSK has always been Tier 1.5/ Tier 2. BTG is a boutique firm that does very good work too. Ideally, it would depend on the Partner and set up in which you would be able to thrive. Figure that out.
Has anyone successfully switched from an LPO to Law firm? How did you do it?

(also, please comment if you recommend any legal recruiters for the same)
Are koi uski death certificate dikha do in logon ko aur publish karwa do comments. Kaise licchad insaan hai yeh admin
A first year student of the GNLU contingent has passed away while at Virudhka at NLIU Bhopal. No news outlet has reported this, but friends at GNLU have reported this incident to be an accident as a result of alcohol. RIP.

[Moved from another thread]
Delhi is not a week. I with 5-6 people from different colleges and places submitted ours a month ago, we are yet to here anything from BCD.
The fact that the OP feels intimated and scared of first gen lawyers despite having familial connections shows how incompetent and worthless they are.
[...] He usually does patent, have this sense of aura that he is good, uses his oratory skills to good use, [...]
Speak with bar council of India Delhi staff the will help with this either once visit the office in delhi
Though not assuring placements, IIT Kharagpur’s LLM in IPR equips students with decent industry focused learning/ skillsets
Yes, they would hire A0s when the main billing partners have left! Are you a third year law student?
Working at a T1, feeling shit, making steady improvements but feel like shit sometimes because of shilly mistakes which i make
Hi, I would like to learn more about working at boutique firms. Would it be possible to get in touch? Thank you.
Hi, I have been meaning to learn more about how to get into an in house role. Would it be possible to connect with you? Thank you. (I am a law student in my second year at a tier 1 uni.)
I've heard that attrition rate in disputes in KCO is very high. Sometimes people don't even complete 1 year. I wonder why.
Everyone saw how united CAs were. Let's see if corp lawyers atleast now take come together and take a stance over this systemic torture.
why? do you have any chamber experience? asking because i genuinely want to know
Nope. All LI has seen are fights between trolls and trolls. Others from even the institutes named have got real lives to lead.
