Spouse and kids good so far.
1. She had just started her firm and I was one of the first batch of people to be interviewed, so question of elevating an assessment intern or vacancy ceasing to exist doesnt arise.
2. Im not the first one who faced such arbitrary discrimination . There are so many graduates who lose the hiring battle to NLU pricks, even if they are far -far better than those puper-pushing ass talkers.
3. If I could show you my rejection mail, I would still be standing where I did when is was battling this whole nlu-non-nlu conundrum- No proper reason for rejection, no inputs or feedback, valuable insights etc. Like i'm apply to a tier -1 law firm and I received a cold- auto generated mail for condolence. For fuck's sake are we people so indispensable?
The llb grads must be biting their finger now lol
Prabhadevi, Worli, Parel and Lower Parel is where Junior partners buy their houses.
Top performing PAs buy houses at Wadala/Chembur.
Tried influencing people’s investments till SEBI cracked down - now claims to be a “fin-fluencer”.
Great that he has become YouTube personality but let’s not let those likes delude the world as to what he has monetarily earned.
And certainly he can’t be compared to likes of Ashwath or L. Vishwanathan
RG and squad seem to be stooges of china and certain other foreign powers trying to interfere in our nation.
This useless answer is the ‘let them eat cake’ of watch recommendations.
That being said, I want to give you some actual options in your price range:
Casio MTP-V006L-1B (List price INR 2995, currently at 40pc off, available from casioindiashop[dot]com): Black dial, metal bracelet, 50M water resistance.
Casio A168 (various colorways) (List price INR 2695, available from casioindiashop[dot]com): digital display, metal bracelet, has some level of water resistance (not sure how much), and various digital functions.
Casio Youth AE-1200 (List price INR 3395 currently at 10pc off available from casioindiashop[dot]com): digital display, metal bracelet, 100m water resistance, and various digital functions. This is also known as the Casio Royale, drawing design inspiration from a watched featured in the James Bond movies.
Another commenter also suggested the Casio MTP V006, which is also a very good looking watch.

It's a tough field. But consistent efforts, even if small, pay off. A lot of people say the key to litigation is hardwork. That's true for every field. What's possibly unique to litigation is the pressing need to network. You need to network HARD.
Would be happy to answer any specific questions that you may have.
Please explain this order? Seems like it? If yes, how much more reservation do we need? We already have reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and domicile. Now trans people want it. IMO this is nothing but virtue-signalling and wokeism. If trans people are backward, then they should apply either under EWS or SC/ST/OBC quota, depending on their social background. Why should a trans person have quota privileges outside these categories?
1. Decoupling supply chains
2. Promoting manufacturing and FDI in India
3. Deepening collaboration with the Quad and strengthening our presence in the Andaman Sea
Who is better placed to do this?
Someone wants to know!
2. As a Law Schoolite, this couldn't be further from the truth. NLS has a lot of talent, so do other NLUs/GLCs. Perhaps, average quality of any graduating class at NLS may be ahead of others, but no question of some monopoly on cream of the talent.
3. This is true - but the NLS alumni at GS are not the high performers from their respective batches, so its probably more of a support system than anything else.
Totally serves the purpose of this platform. Well done.
1. The vacancy ceased to exist. The firm decided to promote someone internally and not take the risk of hiring someone else and test waters and eventually arrive at a culture shock.
2. The firm opted for someone who had more PQE than you and that trumped your candidature.
3. If it was a client transaction that had drove the decision to hire, maybe things did not work out with the client and hence the aftermath?
State University is always a thing. You will make it big in your career if you keep at it but it takes time and a lot more effort than what others needed. This is in addition to discounting your years of experience when you join a tier 1 law firm and all the BS like that.
For all those who ask "Why did you not retake CLAT?" Let's lay the tables, shall we?
i. Paisa baby. Not everyone of us is born in the lush comfort of Rupee bills.
ii. We may have older parents whom we can't leave behind.
iii. In addition to both, some people just are not comfortable moving out. Yes, they choose to remain inside their shells or well, just like you throw a spear of an absolutely unwarranted and unrelated question everytime someone talks about the hardships faced by state university student.
-Toodles!
Big boost for the men’s right movement and frankly it’s true. There is rampant misuse. The law needs to be changed so that the burden of proof is on the person making the accusation.
"Institute of National Importance (INI) is a status that may be conferred on a premier public higher education institution in India by an act of Parliament of India, an institution which "serves as a pivotal player in developing highly skilled personnel within the specified region of the country/state". Institutes of National Importance receive special recognition, higher autonomy, and funding from the Government of India."
NFSU is playing a key role in developing skilled human resources in forensic sciences and other allied areas/disciplines. There is no requirement that the university has to be 50 or 100 years old, to qualify for the INI status. NFSU is indeed an INI in a very niche area that has important implications for the country's national security that you'll hear a lot more about. So just get used to it.
Booth>Yale>IIM A.
Also, M7>T15>Top European MBA>IIM ABC> Other Tier 1 B Schools in India.
This is a no brainer. What you choose depends on what you can afford... A Ferrari is better than a BMW, it's a fact but what can you afford?
In all the top US B Schools Scholarships and Fellowships are generous( 30-90% of the class). So if you have scholarship anywhere north of 50% simply go, get a part time job, do whatever you want but go.
If you get a scholarship below 50% go but be aware that to repay such loans you have to work in top cities of the world for 5yrs atleast.
The diversity in top us b schools is excellent. You will come across a few ex MBB Engagement Managers, Ex IB VPs etc.
Coming back to India, even an IIM recruiter will prefer a top foreign MBA over an Indian MBA keeping all other things like performance and skills equal.
This is because MBA is pursued for a brand and not for skill, for skills you have zillions of rigorous in depth professional programmes. And there won't be a reason why one MBA guy would be preferred over another, if it was not for a brand.
Ask yourself the following questions:- Why do IIM ABC students compete like barbarians to get a simple student exchange? Why do IIM ABC grads pursue a 2nd MBA abroad after 5 plus yrs or work experience? Why do top Indian B Schools prefer foreign educated faculty?
No ifs and buts we are still in colonial hangover.
An IIM MBA is not even an MBA in India and abroad. It is more of a PGP or MiM.
Top executives abroad itself ,are critical about Indian MBAs.
Getting into a top B School in India is more of a gamble.
That being said you won't find New York level compensations in Gurgaon.
Your progress depends more on your performance.
But a foreign MBA offers more prestige and options.
This appointment is no coup by L&L, and on the contrary is a major blow to whatever reputation and credibility it had in the market. It is cringe worthy to foist a rank outsider (he was an SA in the firm 25 years back) on the unsuspecting partners – the new MP could not have been MP of L&L on merits alone, he lacks the market reputation or rainmaking ability to become managing partner of L&L. It is impossible to put any positive spin on this appointment. Most partners are vehemently opposed to this, and the angst amongst the partners is palpable, not to mention the level of distrust between the management and the old partners.
Secondly, with regards to work flow, it’s a general recession trend going on- sometimes work is insane, sometimes it’s good enough. If one has decided to malign someone, they will speak 2 bad against 8 good points.
Most discriminated and all is hyperbole. This is a country with endemic poverty and caste and religious discrimination not to mention trenchant sexism. Don’t play victim.
What is it that you find appealing/ interesting in banking?
I am in the initial stage of my career and what I’ve realised is banking feels really technical. For ex, if you are working in Gen Corp/ M&A, you can understand the commercials - investor is exiting at ROFO/ ROFR, or one company is acquiring another company, or you do a diligence for an investor and for that you read up/ research on the law (be it SEBI/ sector specific). So at all times you have an idea about what the overall deal is about. You are also regularly researching to prepare legal opinions and memos.
But with banking, it seems the deals are mostly about loans being availed (in the form of NCD/ facilities) and most of the documentation revolves around either how loan is being availed (ECB/ NCD/ syndicate) etc with varying types of security package.
Banking just seems really dense. I get the CP and CS items that need to be fulfilled before disbursement, and the negotiation to insert language as per the term sheet, but there is very little research involved and there are mostly templates available for all documents. No research except for maybe to align template documents as per some recent amendments, and since financing is complex, it’s difficult to grasp what is happening - like it’s not as simple as saying - look another company is getting merged.
Working in a department which you don’t understand for 12-14 hours just feels like banging your head against a wall.
Seniors, what gives you the rush when you work on banking deals? Or, to put it simply - is there a light at the end of the tunnel?

*this seems like a rant 😂
Pls any one do help should I ask for a callback and if yes how.
All the Best to you too, Lets start working instead of Whining. If you have worked harder than the rest, you will make it!
All of this is a part and parcel of life, Just dont treat others as you have been treated.
You will make it eventually irrespective of your college, STAY DETERMINED And work in a structured manner
Kind of urgent.
Thanks in advance :)
That being said, here are some of those that I know have provided direct assessments (& subsequent PPOs on that basis):
CAM (Mumbai Office), AZB (Mumbai Office), SAM (Delhi Office), S&R, TT&A, Veritas, LawNK, Indus, Resolüt & Touchstone.
(Also, this is at least the scene at T1s. I don't know their non-NLU policy etc.)
Only thing I am getting is their rejection reply in 4 minutes and I really want to intern with the firm.
Is there any chance of getting into the firm?
Thanks
I earn 30k a month as A0 and here there is yearly increment of Rs. 10k in monthly salary. + travel expense, If I travel from Court to Office or Office to Court.
Usual office time is 10:30 - 7:30 extendable to 8:30 max
If its court then it is 10:00 onwards. (I go to court 1-3 days a week, else, its work from office)
Practice area: IPR litigation primarily Trademark, copyright litigation. Major cases are in Delhi High Court. I do zero prosecution work. My work involve preparing plaint, WS, appeal, application, replication, rejoinder, appearing before courts and take note, plead relief sought in application and appearing before Ld. JR.
- I need to know if I will have decent growth in this practice area. (Future growth in leading dispute practice law firms paying good salary - not thinking of independent litigation)
- If I get more PQE, will firm practicing in commercial dispute hire me? Especially T-1 or T-2. I aspire to earn in similar quotient as that of my T-1 and T-2 colleagues.
- I was concerned because, my practice area is limited to IPR litigation. Also, my firm has very less patent litigation work. Its TM litigation >> Design Litigation >> copyright litigation
- My boss is very supportive and has been v patient with me. I am very grateful to him.
- If someone with decent/vgood experience in Dispute working in T-1 or T-2 could advice, I will be very grateful.
- I am 2022 pass out and wish to know if I am going on a right track. I want to be in dispute practice but I am not getting chance in T-1 or T-2; Presently I am working at a boutique firm which is in IP dispute. Should I be worried (since, its practice area is limited)?
- Are there firms in dispute practice which could be a good firm to start with (having demonstrated history) and later I switch to T-1/T-2 firms? I did not get response from firms like Argus, Bharucha, Panag & Babu, etc. I don't understand what is it that I am missing (I am Non-NLU). I got good publication at unpaid and well respected portals, wrote a law book, did national and international moots, independently obtained injunctions, etc., still got no luck with T-1/T-2 firms. Pls advise if there is something I am doing wrong? All I want is decent earning. Could trade work-life if compensated accordingly.
Thanks!

PS: I am not trying to demean the organization as it has done numerous good works as well. It is just I found the environment not suitable for me.
Are Brahmins incapable of carrying out research? is anything a Brahmin does automatically something suspicious? Their draft does require that Hindus give up a lot- including allowing for equality in inheritance laws and recognition of same-sex marriages- Stuff that the right wing will not like. And they did speak to Muslim women's organizations before writing this draft. How many Muslim women have you spoken to? to assume that they want to be under the boot of religious authoritarianism perpetuated by upper middle-class muslim clerics? Who told you muslim women dont want a UCC? was it a muslim cleric who would benefit?
We are all either one country or we are not- if you want only muslim people to think about muslim issues and only tribal people to have a say over tribal issues - you are the problem. You are insisting that it is impossible to overcome these societal divisions, that human beings simply lack the ability to recognise each others suffering and act in solidarity. BTW- muslim people have had basically complete say over their personal laws a while now- clearly the community is being held back by its most conservative people in reforming these laws and practices. If it is not the states job to step in then whose job is it? How in your world view do muslim women get just laws?
so lets assume that you want to teach at Brown, the best pathway would be to do your LLM and then PhD from Brown, the PhD will take around 6 years, at that time you would be employed as a GTA there, brownose there and get in as an assistant professor and then fight for tenure for the next 6-8 years, after that if the stars align become a professor.
Anything else- go back to them or just avoid. Assuming you have an income or cash in hand presently to sustain. If you are dependent on your parents, either take a job or just go back.
Secondly, HSF and Links are known to offer vac schemes and TCs consistently every year to Top 3-4 NLUs, so if you are in the Top 5 ranks of NALSAR, NUJS or NLUJ, you should have a guaranteed offer from these firms. (given you perform well in the WG, but I haven't heard a year in which no-one was shortlisted, unlike indian law firms this Day 0)
BTW, Vivek is also a Biology grad.
But you won't understand what Biology is!
In terms of solutions, the problem with transplants is that they rarely last beyond 3-4 years and then you are left with visible scars. A hair system is a better idea. But the best solutions just hoping that stem cell treatments advance to a stage where, by 2028 or so, your hair can be regrown.
