While I somewhat agree about the college part but contacts are not something only limited to those who are generational lawyers. I myself have networked in adr comps, college, internships and these contacts have always helped in the longer run. If you have a killer profile, you just need that one contact to help you get your CV seen. This networking aspect is huge in law and should not be disregarded as only limited to nepotism because it will not only help you land a job now but in the longer run this is how you land more clients. People skills are a huge part of a lawyers life, knowing how to talk to clients how to retain them, how to make friends.
Any idea regarding their culture, salary and just overall review of the Partner(s) in general?Asking from the perspective of a low level associate (A1, A2, A3)
Appreciate any honest insights about the same thanks.
Na family na relations, na hobbies bacha kya bhai!?
Additionally, could someone spill the most recent salary bands for the same as well, especially for lower levels such as A1, A2, A3 etc?
Thanks!
eg. Delhi mein iss car ka doosre din challan hua hota. In mumbai, nobody cares.

In Himachal, my dad was stopped a grand total of once, and that too the policeman very politely asked "sir app advocate ho?" he replied yes. Was asked to show I card which he did, and was sent off with a salute.
Delhi NCR ke bahar jao kabhi. Ghatiya air quality se tumhare dimaag mein naali ke keede pad gaye hain.
Can someone confirm this?
JSA bagging him would certainly be a shot in the arm for their Corp, M&A Practice (especially the Mumbai office).
As for the NUJS BSc programme, the low rank was only for the first batch that got admitted through CLAT. Even in that case, the BA students hardly have anything to be concerned about. Moreover, CLAT ranks don't determine student performance once they are in the institution. Their own diligence, ability to work hard and application do. There are many NLUD students and grads who performed badly in CLAT. They are still doing fine in life.
I don’t expect my team to understand that.
But isn’t it abnormal that the partner has reduced the work stress on me?
Or should I just play along because now I have time to workout and I am getting my salary. The partner has not spoken to me about it.
You both might have benefited from his tutelage when he was an associate. You both were exceptions - not the general norm.
Just be tactful on how you deal with these situations and you will be fine!
Participate in internal competitions of college too. My college invites Alumni from tier 1 firms, Sr Counsels, Advocates to Judge, so I try to connect with them. They are more approachable.
All of this takes a lot of guts, but couldn't make it to top 5 NLUs and didn't want to take a drop, so I am making do with relatively more of a grind. You can too!
I met love of my life like that only
Last I heard, Jobs ni h market me.
And if judiciary ni nikla, then what?
Mumbai - Jerome merchant, Bombay law, veritas, pioneer
Bangalore - probably everyone
Luthra/bhasin na paisa dega, na certificate
As far as seats remaining empty thing is concerned, I would still go and join the course if they allow me. So, if you have any genuine contacts which might allow please let me know. Seriously. I have no issue getting into a 3y LLB course and spending money. Par saala le toh.
Also, one advice. The part A of NLSAT is the real deal. It is not top 75% percentile. You need to minimum be in the top 75 percentile and then the top 300-500 will have their part B checked. So, actually it is like the top 90 percentile. Read the instructions. Do part A fully. Then go for B. Else, like me, B won't be checked and you can cry in some corner.
All the best!
Only Practitioners respond. I don't want students or someone who doesn't know jackshit and is basing his opinion on figment of his imaginations to answer.
If you can't afford, join GLC Mumbai or CLC in Delhi at no fee.
Firms should understand the underquoting and price wars are harming them more than benefitting them.
So first of all you have basically made an absolute mockery of the whole exam. You have turned the paper which was competitive since the past many years, to a Guessing game where for every Question people were needed to guess the answers. I know that the paper was made by GNLU profs (since GNLU was the CLAT Consortium Head this time).
One example of a Question which was asked was this:-
- In which principle of Rio Declaration is 'Precautionary Principle's explained?
Like is this even a Q to ask, like how is it relevant to the practical world. Like I have never seen such incompetent and absolutely irrelevant Qs being asked. Students for this were asked to guess the answers to all the questions, since the Qs were so useless that no sane person could answer. I have no hesitation in saying that the CLAT PG makers have led to a drastic decline in the overall reputation of the exam itself and have made a laughing stock out of themselves. Add to that they released an answer key which was again re-uploaded and again re-uploaded. What an absolute waste of time.
You have not only spilrd students lives, but also ensured that students who didn't study but are good at guessing score more marks. You have led the compromise and shaken the belief of the students, and we all are hanging out heads in shame today to have given such an exam. You have spoiled students time, energy, money everything, just for deriving sadistic pleasure to see the students suffer and so that you could enjoy the coaching mates of mine have been sending suicidal messages to me post the exam, how am I supposed to respond to that. You have made it a guessing paper, whoever guess the most answers wins the prize.
Your absolutely lack of accountability is actually shameless to say the least. Atleast there could have been an apology or rightfully an immediate re-test should be conducted.
I am writing this thread so that a Re-Test should be conducted or it should be conducted again so that the best of 2 scores can be considered. And pls don't let these Profs make the ppr again in their lives, they would be more than willing to again derive sadistic pleasure out of it. Look at the previous year pprs and learn something from them, pls learn. And till then let me check with my friends who have been sending me disturbing messages.
I know nothing might come out of this message but it's better to make it public than keeping it confined. And to all those who r having suicidal thoughts, I can assure you that even though we have been done hard, but we will emerged stronger and ensure that in the future such Profs don't get to spoil students lives. #CLATPG ReTest Deserved
Compare yourself with Nirma and Christ and low rung NLUs.
Thanks
2. Foreign placements, in some years yes but in others, no.
3. International moots, lol no. When is the last time NALSAR won any of those?
Any leads would be appreciated.
