DSK legal (My frnd) - Associate - 20 LPA
Stop looking from a short term perspective and instead see on a long time frame
"Wadhwa law Chamber" and at the same time at "Sk singhi and Partners LLP", I'm a third year student at a middle tier NLU.
Please suggest me, which one to go for.
(Kindly do not troll)
However if you do put in the efforts and hardwork to snag a cushy T1 job, you could snag it in both T1 and T2 Universities. Itβs just that the work to get a job is easier in the former as compared to the latter.
1) vakalat
2) wanna be IAS
3) baap ke paas paisa ho toh LLM
4) shaadi, not applicable to all
5) gym jao, body banao
But moots are important for honing your communication skills and in general give you more confidence if you participate as a speaker
khana khazana β
1. Salaries for A1/A2;
2. Frequency of transactions (basically the quality and quantity of work);
3. Work environment (As the NLS partner and 2-3 associates have left for inhouse work);
4. Growth trajectory.
Trilegal doesn't have an insurance vertical and AZB hasn't replaced Arvind Ramesh since he left to set up Vritti Law - but Kashish Bhatia and Kritika Agarwal do some insurance deals.
academia - distance llm is not acceptable by most colleges, if you can get a foreign llm jindal will hire you
Run of the mill transactions with earlier series documentation already done, 2 days max (provided DD etc is done).
If there are complications, then more.
2 days because not even one mistake can be tolerated in such docs.
When you got the call?
@moderators please mod it fast.
I'm a law student, and need some advice on Judiciary Preparation. How can we connect.
Better late than never.

2. Remember, there are (a) lots of applicants getting good grades applying/competing for these law firm jobs; and (b) lots of applicants who have joined/contributed to a society or their leadership. With a good firm, you could just as easily have 10 or 15 society/committee presidents/convenors/leaders applying for an internship, PPO or whatever, so the firms aren't spoilt for choice.
3. This means that if you take the advice of joining somewhere you really enjoy and that is meaningful (so not just any random old tired committee which would be better off being put out of its misery), you have to set yourself apart there, too; you have to do some really boss work that you can talk about in your interviews or applications.
What can be done to curb this? Should there be greater oversight by faculty and a complaints system? Should the whole process be outsourced to a third-party agency?
Must be working under some Equity Partner no? Who would that be?
Now you decide whether the deep state exists or not.
Sarcastic: Yes, this the paramount concern for all law firms - how can we adjust (upwards) the compensation to lawyers to offset their additional expenses due to higher capital gains. Maybe they will ask you for your capital gains statement and provide a bonus equivalent to that
Probably 20 years ago googling would have been the seen with the same lens.
Request the associates to share their experience as what I have gathered information about the team is that, it looks good to work with but once you are in the fence, itβs a different gameplay altogether.
The treatment to interns and associates is very different. Your mental health will be severely affected if you work here. Can ask ex-employees of the team. It is a life time traumatising experience. Wish no one has to go through such hell hole. Amen.
Now go and work towards your goal
Please don't be trollish here
Only PPL who know or have met others from HPNLU may respond
I got a rank of 4500
Should I take a drop!
Can you share some leads on how to get internships at T-1 firms?
I know these are very small things, and it may sound childish. But these tips can make a huge difference. Always look from the perspective of a teacher, out of 60 copies, they can't just read everything, if you make the task easy for them that means there is a right impression. There will bleak scope of marks deduction.
PS: NUALS isn't significantly better, but at least you've got a wider alumni base and firms deem it a half-decent college, which is more than something that could be said about colleges like NUSRL.
i. Micro-Manager - These insecure bunch would try to micromanage even the smallest one liner email to the client.
ii. Aversion to keeping a record by the Juniors - If your senior or boss shows a general disdain at your attempt to note down the instructions being given, you have identified an A rated ________ . The reason being if you manage to note down the instructions successfully, these so called bosses won't have any opportunity to rebuke you. These set of people also prefer communicating over landline numbers, instead of an email.
iii. The bosses while coming by cars will reach office late, but won't tolerate you being late by few minutes even if you use public transport.
iv. These set of people called toxic bosses will sell you pieces of land on moon at the interview stage and then will force you to do clerical work like preparing excel sheet and running to Government offices.
v. These so called toxic bosses won't mind taking leaves given to them, but will suffer diarrhea if you ask for leaves, even after you have completed your work and have got no work at all.
vi. These so called bosses will keep a track on what you are reading, even when there is no work - billable or non-billable.
vii. These so called toxicity manufacturers will not raise any issue with you pertaining to narration of work done. Instead they will use this opportunity to get away from their boring work and will pin the blame on the junior stating that they are at fault.
viii. These insecure people will give you more work on non-billable and won't even comment on the work submitted. Instead they will try to trivialize the hard work being put and will try to find out small errors.
Does it have Job opportunities or helpful seniors?. Review karke batana I'll also join if its not a circle jerk sortofa group
Thanks
Whether these people represent the majority or minority of lawyers is something I will not comment on.
