Does “companies” include law firms? If not, then mainly engineering and commerce students will get internships and law students will get a few leftover crumbs, in the form of corporate legal department internships. Also, how can the govt assure internships in private companies? I’m not clear on this. Do they have the constitutional power to just order Tata, Google and PwC to take 100 interns?
