Why do random advocates get bigger tax cases, just so messed up at the Tax front
It headed by some lady who moved with him from Luthra?
Depends on the partner, I heard sometimes call backs are given out.

Ensure that the team likes you, as your call back is based on team review

Senior - Ravi, Abhiroop, Vishal

Mid Senior - Manshoor, Abhyuday

Junior - Anshul, Priyadarshini, Puneet
Youl will start to settle in, in a few months. It happens initially. However I can't say no to your move due to the parent factor that you have listed. All I can say is it should get better within a few months if you stay.
Combination of personal reasons (pull factors like better prospects at new place and push factors like bad management at existing place (eg. IL)) and external forces like proposed entry of foreign law firms (which in way contribute to the pull factor mentioned above).
I had joined a chamber 3 months back as an associate. But I keep making mistakes and feel like I have made no progress.

Is it a sign that I won't get better?
SAM, Khaitan, Trilegal, CAM all have now issued a revised pay. All eyes on AZB now. They were once the paymaster among all T1s. Are they going to do something about this now??
I agree with the above. PPOs are being handed out left right and center for 2025. More liberal than 2024. Market must be booming (metroooo)
Any idea on the revised pay for batch of 2021 at SAM? Heard that KCO pays the highest retainer i.e., 2.15 lacs per month! (Highest band) Is it correct?
Awesome! SAM officially becomes the paymaster amongst T1 firms. Any idea on the revision of bands for other level associates, SAs, and PAs?
hey even if u dont get in nlud, it's okay. u will start settling in from the next year. 5 years down the lane u can have ur parents live with u wherever u go or u would just be a flight away. it will get better
If you’re such an adult tell your parent and get a gate pass. This isn’t complex. Classrooms and academic blocks are professional spaces where people go to work. It’s not like a park.
Heard that CAM kids are not super excited for the milan. Such a mega team is set to become a warfield for opportunity.
Any other firms with good pay that will give it to me in 1 internship
Any insights on DLS Law offices assessment internship for 3 months?

Also what is their pay for A0?
What TMT? they don't have a TMT practise. They hardly have anything going on with them.
if any one knows please let me know which firm and which legal recruiter to reach out to, thanks!
You are just the instiutional versions of DYC. Just like nepo lawyers of today are sitting on the top coz their fathers had the monopoly over the legal system, you guys are there coz of the market perception that NLUs are premium quality institutions. Nothing more.
wdym by oip can you please explain, if i’m interning at kco delhi when i begin my 4th year does that mean im not getting a callback since idt anyone is getting a ppo at my stage
Akhilesh Rai ? You mean Akhulesh Kumar Rai, I believe. Was not aware he shifted his practice from IP to GC/ M&A :). BTW, the Bombay IP partner's team is way bigger than Akhilesh's and bills more as well.
Her Facebook says she is from a village. Your comment is FAKE and should me marked TROLLISH.

lol I know law firms in Pune and Chennai paying double of this to freshers. 35k is chindi af for a city like Mumbai
SAM has bumped it to 20lpa no bonus component. This year has been quite good so far.

Also shows that the lalas will bend down for better work environment as well if we try enough
Hi, Final year student here looking for an internship/ paralegal ship. - thegayguy123@proton.me. Experience in B&F + contacts in PSBs. IYKYK
what is the reason behind so much shift of partners in the tier 1 firms? is it bcs of personal reasons or is it due to a shift in the market?
Dam! That really sucks. Assesment internship is a consolation at this point. PPO is a sure thing, while assesment internships are not. I hope one of two firms does right by you.
Not really. Not talking about anyone in particular, but you don't need to have earned 50 crore to have the same networth. One could have invested smartly. IMO even a 10 crore corpus over 10 years (recurring investments) can easily amount to 50.
Got a mail from management - A0s are getting 20L. News will be out soon
Do NLS kids put such comments on YouTube videos as well that we were first here?
Which men’s perfume is classy, not overbearing and attractive to women? Can anyone suggest? I want two: one in the 5K budget and one in the 1K budget. Tks.
Does firing at probation period happens? At a T1 cap market team. Just 1 month, making small small mistakes.
Has been for a while, since HC and Vij took control. Its just Atlas now
Interesting Jay Parikh is joining Ahmedabad office of the firm. Ahmedabad office has been on hiring spree since departure of Atman Desai and Jai Parikh has probably been the biggest onboarding for CAM Ahmedabad.
Which MNC's are the more likely to offer an ppo for their in house legal team
One lawyer at counsel position with the firm had even called Police because they were not giving salaries and ignoring counsel. ▮▮▮
The team is sub-par. Sahil is a great guy but the others are patchy at best. One particular junior partner is known for unnecessary temperamental issues. Attrition is really high and the work is deficient in quality.
things are very unclear with this firm and its functions (basically all the tier 1s), but it's just too mysterious. I don't know what we are betting on if we are giving our time to it. Folks working there or know someone there shed some insights
Keep one of the Zaras in office and keep re-applying as and when the need arises. Do not get into this rabbit hole - especially if you're young. You'll find yourself yearning for the Creeds and MFKS which are all in the north of INR 25K.
Any competent magistrate should not have even allowed remand. Hope the Sessions or High courts will correct matters
Absolutely- Vanati, Anil, Hardeep for corporate not to mention VPS in their litigation dep are biggest corporate lawyers in the country billing crores. They won’t hire you simply because you interned once or worked at any other T1 for a couple of years
1. What happens to those who paid higher enrollment fees?

2. Will bar council ask for extra money under other heads over the years to those who didn't pay huge amounts?
True, but for a backup degree there are less expensive places than NLUs. I think people should go for career counselling before writing CLAT or any other exam.
they ideally shouldn't- going through a a big loss
Shouldn't people speak to partners directly since it's them who have a mandate on this
Do the other partners at Indus have a book of their though? Or is it just Manan who faced clients? Also who all are senior partners apart from lahoty?
sure, do whatever you like. at the end of the day, its about what helps you get financial independence. doesn't matter if its law or baking.
40 to 45 as an A0 - A2. Partners seem nice, except one who I've heard can get toxic. Quality of work is good but they are bad paymasters.
Will Indus (Mumbai/Delhi/Bengaluru) across any teams hire from batch of 2025 now?
Are there any A0 positions available in any tier 1 or tier 2 firms, or even well-paying boutique firms in Bengaluru, for a 2025 graduate to intern at?
1. Jo Malone for office wear.

2. Atelier for daytime parties, Sauvage for evening parties.

All 3 bought outside of India, prices were half or lesser than that on Amazon.
Very curious - Do people commenting here work at IndusLaw's accounts team? The confidence with which numbers are quoted
They did the three year course? Haww. Did the messiah from NLS pave their way for this also?

Down with Sudhir! We want a five year Presi.
I’ve seen some students intern at Deloitte in their 4th/5th year of law school; odds of this? Considering how they don’t have an up and running application page specific to their legal team?
Very luck based tbh, at times khaitan (which usually has an OIP) might want you to do a callback or an amarchand which usually insists on a callback may give it to you in one internship.
will be interning in his team in September 2024. what are the chances. also how is his team. Pls give reviews.

Thanks
Are the rumors about AZB & Partners' challenging work environment justified, or is Trilegal truly as reputable and rewarding as it's made out to be? Share your thoughts and experiences with these tier-1 law firms!
unlikely. too many ppos already given, you can assume this trend is likely going to stick around as well.
If you are writing/talking like you have here, I don’t think they are problem.
SAM offered 16 LPA. Now are they planning to increase the salary?

Almost a week is over that joinees have joined but not reported by B&B.

Is there gonna be an increment?
Can someone (possibly an insider) enlighten as to what will happen to the PPO interviews lined up or PPOs rolled out? Also, when will the partners start at CAM now?
I mean, getting commendation from the Client is the highest form of good feedback I can get. I have closed transactions in record time, something admitted by the Client's legal teams.
no freedom of speech but otherwise great work and decent seniors. Too controlling at times but if u r okay with that then no issues
[NB: UNCONFIRMED, CONTESTED RUMOUR]

Came to know that my offer stands cancelled. Called up Manan sir, he offered me an assessment internship at CAM.
Baking is actually quite a useful skill. These days there is demand for special cakes and exotic kinds of snacks. There is a stereotype that only girls do it, which we need to break. In fact so many top chefs are actually men.
Anyone who has worked with TMT team at Saraf & Partners. Can you drop some insight? How is the work? How is Sahil Arora and Vaibhav Kakkar to work with
Ugh... so many sanskari comments. Students are young, Young people hookup and have sex. Deal with it. So what's needed is a practical solution. Have secluded intimacy spaces in campus or give gate passes so students can book Oyo rooms.
Gatepass is available if you get your parents to sign off on it. If you can't, then that's between you and them.
And it's not like they are being handed down to us....the grind for the same is on another level as well.
I don't think the salary for inhouse is at par with their financial analyst counterparts
"Don't do such things on campus"

"Okay so we can step out of the campus?"

"No! You need gatepasses! You can't go out!"

???
