Not a single tier-2 nlu made the cut.
I think we need a recruitment system where CLAT ranks get some weightage, else it’s really unfair. There are many people at tier 2 NLUs who have higher ranks than people in tier 1 NLUs or Jindal. Why exclude them?
You parent’s wealth, domicile and social group should NOT determine your future. These are accidents of birth. What should matter is first your CLAT score and subsequently your GPA in law school. That’s all.
If joining a BIG Law firm is considered winning and is the ultimate aim of NLU graduates, then their ambitions are pitiable and laughable.
Again, I'm glad other NLUs didn't make the "cut", for what a waste it would be.
A Big Law / Law firm recruitment is essentially the WITCH equivalent of law.
I mean i understand that it is, because of astronomical and insane fees these "government" run colleges charge and the non existent pay in other sectors. It leaves many no choice but to join these sweatshops, i know, because i was in one for many many years.
Essentially, an NLU Grad is an easy and cheap resource for these firms (not just CAM or T1s). Its sad when our nation could use these bright minds for so many more things, but they're spent in drudgery of toxic work environments drafting repetitive shit.
