That’s incredible, but it also sadly means that all of us will be too old to benefit from it. The real beneficiaries will be Gen Alpha, who will join NLUs from 2027 to 2037, and graduate from 2032 to 2042, and even more so Gen Beta.
The generation that is growing up on Cocomelon right now 🤣
It may be of further interest to note that according to the Oanda currency converting tool, 350000 British Pounds is 38658550 Indian Rupees.
And for Tharoor fanboys: It’s universally acknowledged that it was Nehruvian socialism and the low rate of growth under the Congress that kept India backward. So we need to play catch-up.

Article from the newspaper The Guardian. May be of some passing interest when you've got a free afternoon perhaps.
Title: Chortle chortle, scribble scribble: inside the Old Bailey with Britain’s last court reporters
Subtitle: The cases heard at the Old Bailey offer a vivid, often grim portrait of England and Wales today. What happens when there is no one left to tell these stories?

Per my understanding, shops and establishments act not applicable on law firms
1) Idk why everyone is mentioning Viagogo, anyone can sell on Viagogo without having the ticket so it indicates nothing.
2) them reserving tickets or the engineers (allegedly) holding it for some people can amount to a consumer complaint but criminal liability?
3) is bms under contractual obligations to sell tickets fairly in their website policy or with coldplay's management? its a genuine question please let me know if they are
All Partners mentioned are in Sanjeev's vertical and the teams take a lot of mandates from Gen Corp teams and the work is excrutiatingly boring and only done to fill timesheets.
This is so scary!!! So it means you need to wait until you become an experienced Senior Associate in order to be middle class and then keep slaving away until you have 30 crores saved. So no possibility of FIRE?
Anyone have a contrary view?
The Establishment (political differences don't matter here) is concerned that spontaneous and sustained public support may wake people into questioning the need for politicians and 'the system" currently in place - whoever wins, public gets slaughtered.
Chaos is disruptive. But it can also overturn the Establishment apple cart. But don't worry, the doctors have been outsmarted, as expected. They are just being petulant now.
Just look at all the NLUs where VCs departed due to student protests. They are all back to square one. In certain cases, the state is indifferent. Other NLUs, such as NUJS maybe NLIU too, the state is too invested. It doesn't want the inquiries done properly and the rot continues.
A well-known British criminologist had aptly remarked (in the context of organised crime and protection rackets) that police is the most well-resourced organised gang - full backing of law and state resources.
And as the saying goes, "there is no organised crime without law and order"
If you plan to retire, do note that there are beaches, backwaters and ghats at drivable distances. Kochi has a very cool food scene. People are generally nice. They live and let live. Most importantly, nothing is too far.
Anyone interviewing you who is mature, which should mean most partners, will realise that this is an extremely valid reason to choose a practice area.
A common mistake to make when one is young is to get into a practice area which doesn't have many exit opportunities outside of law firms, such as investment funds, capital markets, etc.

I’m in need of some help and advice. For the past four months, I’ve been actively searching for employment and assessment internship opportunities in law firms T1, T2 and T3, particularly in Delhi and Bangalore. Despite a few interviews, I’ve mostly been ghosted or faced rejections, and the process has been pretty challenging, especially since I have zero contacts in the industry. Right now i am not in those cities i am in a remote town near the border because of my parents profession and cannot move out without a job since it will create incredible stress on my parents finances.
I hold an LLB (Hon.) from JGU and a BA (Hon.) in Political Science from Delhi University, with a strong interest in dispute resolution and corporate law as well as is TMT which is where i seek to specialise and have done multiple courses in the area in form of electives and certifications. I’ve applied for various associate, junior associate, and internship roles, but so far, nothing has worked out. Have contemplated hanging myself but since my parents have invested so much in me it would not be fair to them so here i am stuck between a rock and a hard place.
If anyone has any leads or advice, or knows of openings, I would really appreciate your help. I’m eager to work hard and prove myself wherever I get the opportunity.
Thanks so much for your time in advance!
If I leave now, I would have around 10 months of experience (including notice period and present period).
Would that be enough?
So do things like relevant moot courts and other competitions along with having a good grasp of academics. These competitions are a good opportunity to network and show your skills and wnthusialsm and get valuable feedback.
Read articles and news, try to publish.
I was wondering if I can ask you a question? what do you think will be the biggest reason I dont get it? A lil about me - I have a good blog publication, working on more, some speaking competitions creds and drafting comp creds, did fairly well in last internships (research work) they were not big offices tho. have interned abroad too.
Other than CV, skills and knowledge are good, not the best of the best. Do you, in this limited data see anything which could be a major problem in converting an internship to job?
I am sorry if you were not up for answering more questions. I am trying to get more perspectives so I am just asking in case you can answer
someone had commented here earlier that law firms dont require you to know all the laws that well and contracts and some other laws knowledge is enough. That sounds a lil unbelievable to me. I wanted to know from experienced people here
I am at a student at a Tier-1 Law Uni. I am comfortably placed in law school. Not too worried about being able to land a job at a T-1 firm. While I enjoy law, my interest in business administration has also grown. Given this, I might look to do an MBA. I have two questions. If someone has any info (esp those who've gone down this path or considered it), I'd really appreciate your insight. I have two specific questions.
i) What kinds of career opportunities open up (domestic and abroad) for someone with a law + MBA degree? How rewarding is these (in terms of quality of life and remuneration) compared to T-1 Law Firms?
ii) IIMs or MBAs abroad? What's the difference in the quality of education, and how would this affect my career opportunities down the line?
In considering this decision, please note that I do not come from a family that's financially well off. My love for the subject matters, but remuneration would definitely play a strong role in my decision.
Thank you in advance!
Also expect HR and CV-based questions
JSA and TL are true T1. They are truely professionally run, no papa or mummy on top holding lions share. TL started seeing its potential sooner, JSA is a bit late. All others have survived because the papas and mummys have agreed to dilute a little. Either that continues to happen and they too become professionally run one day. Or they wither out.
Just my opinion people, you dont have to agree, or lose sleep over it.
Fresher hires, yes - there are tonnes in Delhi.
