So a city with low cost of living, decent infrastructure, good quality of life and good health facilities would be the answer. Also preferably cleanliness and safety. Which is that city? Chennai? Goa? Ahmedabad? Hyderabad? Pune? Chandigarh? Kolkata? Kochi? Vishakapatnam? Indore? Bhopal? Varanasi?
Who knows i might even do so one day.
If you plan to retire, do note that there are beaches, backwaters and ghats at drivable distances. Kochi has a very cool food scene. People are generally nice. They live and let live. Most importantly, nothing is too far.

2. Slow paced city - after a fucked up life in a fast paced law firm environment- this city will feel refreshing. Not much traffic as well.
3. Decent night life - it is slowly developing.
4. Cheap - including real estate, you can buy a house at a reasonable price
5. Historical city....great architecture
6. Decent weather - hot and cold - you can experience both extremes
7. Great food.
8. Connected to a lot for places you can visit. Rajasthan has enough places you can go for a short trip. Nearby states also provide a good option - MP, Gujarat, Himachal, uttarakhand, etc.
9. Infra is not that great but it is getting better.
There may be some cons as well but I'm sure pros will outweigh the cons.
