Hi, please suggest formal black shoes that are comfortable for every day wear. I currently own Bata ones and my foot aches every single day! Please helpp
Red chief! Even I was wearing bata earlier, and they sucks. Red chief is good!
If u have budget issues just get a gel based sole for bata shoes it really helps
Hush Puppy bouce are the best. They will last for 3 years too.
Tip: wear Adidas/ Nike school shoes (black) if you're in litigation. Good quality, reliable, comfortable, cheap
Do not do this in Bombay, some of the current Judges have chucked out interns and green-eared lawyers with inappropriate fashion sense in the Court. Many of the senior counsels frown upon juniors wearing casual shoes as well...
Invest in hush puppies - comfortable and looks good
Wear any formal shoes from Clerk its very comfortable and reliable
I have used Clarks and Hush Puppies both over the last 10 years. If you buy during a sale, Clarks are a little cheaper than Hush Puppies making them really worth the while. In both brands, the leather upper really lasts, it is the sole that wears away.
Slightly pricier than other suggestions - Clarks and even more than that Ecco. Both are worth it.
Corporate Lawyer? Hush Puppies

Litigation Lawyer? Sketchers Black Color Shoes because you have to run around a lot. And a formal formal shoes is bad for health.
Get any of the flat sole shoes and use an insole with it. I have been using a Dr.Scholl’s insole for the last 3 years in my office shoes and frido gel insole in my casuals and they have been great.
Scholl's Massagio series is available at Bata. Hush Puppies is also available at Bata but is more expensive.
if your budget is around 3000 don't bother yourself by ordering online, go to your local market and try finding some local brand that exclusively sells formal shoes, trust me they will last much more that the ones sold online.
I have infection in toes of my feet so is it a serious issue if don't wear shoes in courts?
