Tell me you have not read the paper without having read the paper. The point you make has been directly addressed in the paper.
Kian you should really introduce a feature to mirage such posts and put a read at your own discretion thing. I was eating chicken salad, now have to throw it.
Easiest way would be read Master Directions available on the RBI website. There is master director for each relevant topic - foreign investment, exports, ODI, ECB etc.
Context - we are an Indian start-up and currently work with one of the Big-Law law firms. But looking for a more cost effective option.
Each time you use the software, ask yourself how you can get more efficient. With time, you will get efficient. You cannot get good at a software unless you require to use it frequently. So, you will never get as good as Excel as your clients.
5th yr law student. Tier 2 NLU. Stressed about getting a job as I haven't done good Internships.
Apply through a headhunter. They don’t charge you. They charge the firm.

Else, send your CV to a partner via someone you know at the firm

All the best!
The Faculty of Law, DU, has finally jumped on to the 5-year bandwagon. They will be starting BA LLB and BBA LLB from the next year and admit on the basis of CLAT results.
Maybe they had a better CV, with other internship experience. I think firms are increasingly lowering relevance of only grades, especially CAM as it may not be the perfect metric? My rank is in the 60s and I was offered PPOs at Indus, SAM
I've heard its not just an interview by the firm, but there's also a questionnaire, writing assignment and case study !?
No, it didn't. There have been plenty of offers and PPOs. Less than the usual blockbuster years like 2021 and 2022, but still a lot.
Trilegal A0s have gotten a 16.5 + 3.0 package, as per the firm email from yesterday! Amazing, trilegal has been showing the way for sometime now!
A particular senior associate in my team at a tier 2 firm refuses to review any work and sends documents to the clients directly. How risky is this for a junior associate. Do you guys have senior team members like this who are extremely lazy.
For non transactional practice (Enviro, TMT, infra etc) 1.2 crore to 1.6 crore.

For transactional practice 1.75 crore to 2.5 crore.

For dispute varies from 1.2 crore to 2 crore.
LI Mod, kindly put a disclaimer that people must meet at their own safety and precautions.
so many exits from azb, shameek, arvind, roopali, rohit, and few others serving notice period. mass exits at JP level.
Only if it is not legible or not easy to read.

Try writing bigger letters and leave space between lines
Every ranking including this and yours should be marked trollish by default. They are spurious and irrelevant.
This guy has been helping LI for a while - might as well get some promotion
The CNLU Patna has got its Vice Chancellor in Prof. Faizan Mustafa. When he is likely to join?
There's no other way but to practice - that is to say, keep on doing it. Read case laws regularly and get into the habit of it. Soon you'll be used to it, and your speed will improve.
Nobody can. Since NLSIU has stopped releasing all placement data for many years now.
CTC includes everything: ESOP, and employee benefits which include shits like gym membership as well, insurance etc. Joining bonus which would be given only once.

Another possibility is that they have bumped up the salary this year.
I have been at CAM for a year now and they never ask for transcript, let alone verify it. This seems suss
There are no payment bands in-house. What you get is what you can negotiate and abased on your previous CTC.

In the limited interactions, ask for work, ask him/her about his college life, def will put them in a memory trip
Glad to know that group of young lawyers from National Law Schools are providing free legal services to Adivasis in Scheduled areas of Rajasthan.
You need to enroll on your state bar council and then appear for AIBE to be fully licensed as a practicing advocate in India. Till you clear the exam, your enrollment will be provisional and valid for two years. There's no requirement for any other enrollment.
Do the work hours in T1/T2 law firms get better over time as you get promoted from A0 to A1 and so on or does it get worse as you climb up the ladder?
Only liquids is terribly irresponsible advice.

Please consult a medical professional before undertaking such an extreme diet.
Forget about the deals done and the cases won for a minute. Which law firms have the best notepad-game?

Paper quality, binding, size, durability and cover design are all valid criteria.
The White House should've invited CLAT toppers from 2019 to 2024 - the top two from each batch. How on earth did they miss out on inviting the CLAT toppers? Not acceptable at all!
▮▮▮? Look at the merit list of 2021, there is a guy who had prolly got a single digit or below 50 rank who chose NUJS over NLS. So did Nujs beat nalsar? All that matters is the last rank, that is the cutoff as per the merit list and not the first rank!
AZB SA here. Have been travelling internationally for negotiations twice a year on average since covid ended.
For IP, it is actually better to start from a small firm. Most Tier 1's do not have a thriving IPR practice, and any learning there would be minimal. The trend is in fact to work 2-3 years in a boutique place and then move ahead.
On court days I wear white shirt and Navy blue/Black pants. Other days I wear floral kurta sets with dupatta, cap sleeves top of any colour, high neck tops, Midi Dresses . Saturdays I wear casuals (basic cotton T shirts and jeans)
London has a concept of this practice area called "Leveraged Finance" which is a mixture of debt financing and private client. Having experience along suvh lines pushes you towards a niche like that so yeah, hope that helps!
Prepare with your CV and basics of company law concepts! Most probably Martin and Codhai will take it. All the best!
