Answer to your query: TBH tier-1 law firm will not take you in except in cases of reference directly from partner. So I would suggest you to join boutique law firm and from there jump upwards to tier-1/2 as the case maybe. Also, if your company has any external law firm and if you have built any repo with them, try proposing your intent to join their law firm. Law field works a lot on reference, but there are many boutique law firms out there which are looking for pure talent. I hope it helps. All the best.
