Is this firm even real? Looks super creepy to me. Recently they posted a lot of opportunities over LinkedIn. What's creepy to me is that the firm has a bunch of "Partners" who are apparently extraordinary attractive women who have seemingly AI generated pictures on LinkedIn by the name of Shreya Oberoi, Simran Kaur and one or two more. The Managing Partner namely Sachin Mahendra seems like a real person, I looked him up, he is a Director in the firm called "Barutha Consultancy LLP". The firm's website has a team of advocates- both men and women who are apparently super attractive and have AI generated pictures. Moreover, almost no team members have any LinkedIn presence.
All this seems very creepy to me. I hope I'm not the only one seeing this as a huge red flag and borderline psychotic if my suspicions are true.
Can anyone confirm the authenticity of this firm and their super attractive AI generated team?
While associates do exactly as you described, partners do get a small piece of the "really interesting part" i.e structuring, advising, negotiations etc.
The comparison makes very little sense because juniors at the other offices (fund managers, bankers etc) don't get to do the exiting job as well. Ig people in funds are there for the longer game. It is highly unconventional at the global level compared, and tbh I'd do it anyday over gc or mna in India.
At the same time I agree with you, kids need to be absolutely sure about what they want and understand the role lawyers play and our scope of work. It is very limited during the starting years.
The person accused of corruption and compromising national security is guilty of something far worse - and no - I’m not talking about the theft of my dog.

Doesn't kill you to educate yourself a bit about what is going on :)
sorry but fighting for disability rights don’t make the person to act in this disgusting manner
Do they get equal opportunities to switch firms/ companies ?
In my first year I was told to think out of the box, but when I attempted to share some idea, I was shushed and told "you youngsters! always trying to reinvent the wheel"
Assam, Shimla, Ranchi, Meghalaya, Tripura, Sonipat - all same league
So if I understand that correctly, what you are basically saying is that there are three layers to anonymize my IP address?
Layer 1: Original_ip_address ---- converted to ---> Salted_ip_address
Layer 2: Salted_ip_address ----- converted to -----> SHA384_hashed_ip_address
Layer 3: SHA34_hashed_ip_address --- converted to ---> 3 emojis
So even if I somehow reverse-engineer layer 3, reverse-engineering just layer 2 is, well, practically impossible, and reverse-engineering layer-1 is also super difficult because the 'salt' keeps on changing.
This begs the question - since no can decrypt the emojis to figure out what the original IP was (and not even LI can decrypt it because of layers 1 & 2)**, why even bother doing it? why are you even storing IP addresses?
**unless LI stores the 'Original_ip_address' along with the 'salt' used to create the 'Salted_ip_address', somewhere else in their database, because from there on they just have to carry out the steps for layers 2 & 3 to get the 3 emojis being used represent your IP. My guess is LI is storing the 'Original_ip_address' along with the 'salt' somewhere else in a different database.
Guys just wanted to ask that is there a grade freeze system at NLSIU Bangalore at the end of 3rd year? If it is there can you guys please tell me more about it.
Also, who are the rare picks who are famous and are also heavily briefed?
Let's discuss this - https://youtube.com/shorts/IU4xtP7O17I?si=hqRWwlbaQ4bVj5hG
I am an A1 at a boutique firm, working in a mostly PE/VC Practice with a little bit of general corp and fund formation sprinkled in. Looking to switch jobs, does any one know what are good PE/VC teams to join?
If you're interested in technical details about whether this is strong enough, would welcome your feedback. Tldr, it is intended to be fairly cryptographically and practically secure. [If you're technically inclined, here are the boring details: your IP address is first 'salted' (sprinkled) with a random sequence of 40 letters that gets regenerated approximately daily, then 'hashed' with SHA384 (akin to a one-way encryption that can not be reversed), and then three partial character sequences of the hash are converted into three out of more than 1000 emojis. And even if it was theoretically possible to reverse engineer it, approximately after a day the old 'salt' is deleted and a new one is generated.]
Hope that helps and always happy for feedback and more tests.
Have around 90 of them at-least found some job
Heyy, right wing mod, mark this as trollish.
If not, stay away.
If you want to join a young lawyer, look for people briefed by big law firms and clients.
These views are purely my experience in the firm, almost 10years back!
There's a well known saying:
"Go to LI for the watch, RBYC for the yacht".
- communicating ex parte with the other side
- seeking favors/ indulgences from the other side
- giving latitude to factual positions and statements made by opposing counsel (while ignoring our submissions entirely)
Coordinating with this mediator's junior associates, all of whom are law graduates from okayish universities, has been a painful experience. They exhibit an indifferent attitude, often ignoring emails and texts for days or weeks. Some of them probably got hired with a phone call from a highly placed politician/ bureaucrat/ fauji, etc
To make matters worse, during the proceedings, this mediator has been favoring one side's lawyers, subtly highlighting their credibility - by discussing unrelated cases involving high-profile parties, as if they were old acquaintances.
Such conduct, in my opinion, casts a shadow over the Indian ADR system.
My experience before this high-profile (yet shady) mediator leaves me hesitant to recommend mediation for resolving high-stakes claims. It's individuals like this mediator that inadvertently steer good cases towards large law firms because they can get away with so much unchecked! - from shifting goalposts shamelessly to delivering drafts riddled with inconsistencies and grammatical errors.
I really hope that this big-shot mediator gets to read this and conducts future proceedings fairly. So peeved that I wouldn't care less if this mediator gets offended and recuses. This mediator should also read up on the law and submissions provided by both sides before the sitting (instead of walking in with a blank). These sessions arent happening for free! It's laughable how the opposing counsel, in this case, has gotten away with passing off nonsensical legal submissions that can be called out by a 3rd-year law student without being put to check by this particular mediator.
The thought of having to appear before this mediator again makes me cringe.
I know it sounds really interesting but let me break the reality of law firm practice in it to you. You will be relegated to 1. Boring editing of long documents, 2. Comparing docs, 3. Checking again, 4. Filling details in the docs.
The "really interesting part you read in articles" is enjoyed by the fund managers, the bankers, and of course the LPs.
@LegallyIndia But this is not really some strong encryption method is it? Isn't it the same as storing 'ABCD' as, lets say, 'DCBA'. Sounds more like a fun way to obfuscate things, rather than encryption.
tldr- people who like corp law jobs in India, why
Gave my notice in a few weeks and moved to saner pastures.
Personally, I am waiting for the last option to happen XD
Block it!!
Being closer to home does come as a sweet advantage over the course of 5 years that you will spend in law school.
