1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Preparing those stupid fucking, unnecessarily long legal opinions about the most random shit in the world is what is painful. This kind of work makes me feel so worthless sometimes. Especially real estate stuff.
In M&A or some other transactional team, at least after all the sleepless nights, once the deal closes, there is a sense of satisfaction.
Why is no one complaining about gen corp then, as much as they are about every other team, even niche ones?
Under her leadership, we saw 2 suicides and 2 attempts to suicide, which is highest is any NLU across the country.
Under her leadership, we saw the best of administration which is highly skilled in making arbitrary policies and tweaking every single process and procedure to their own benefit.
All hail Prof. Bed Kumari!!
But on a serious note, have you not seen other colleges normalise marks with different panels. Look at NLSTIAM, or NALSAR BRS Moot, or MNLU and GNLU Research Paper competitions
- Videos of the event have been leaked (possibly by RW students who infiltrated the event)
- BJP spokesman has criticised Jindal, along with official RSS publications Panchjanya and Organiser and influential RW websites and handles like OpIndia
- A prof who happens to be the the daughter of a Congress MP is being attacked.
-Jindal admin has said that videos have been taken out of context. .

Chimni (NUJS) > VS Mani (GNLU) > MP Singh (NUJS) > Sudhir (NLSIU)
As an institution builder:
Menon (NSLIU and NUJS) > Ranbir (NALSAR and NLUD) > Faizan (NALSAR) > Sudhir (NLSIU)
Right wing wale help karenge, waha jao.
Only those who are not stable in their career choose LLM and then PhD.

In the larger law firms, most kids are doing diligence for the first 3/4 years and they understand documentation and negotiations even lesser than associates of smaller law firms who have been a part of that side of a deal. I don't see how most of these kids will know which items should be an exception to normalised working capital or net debt, other than copying language from another draft.
You may very well be an exception and, if so, you will probably become a partner in 5/6 years; if you completely understand your work at this stage of your career.
Kapil sibal and AM Singhvi - famous and relevant
ADR is indeed slippery slope to stand on - especially when your opponent has substantial means of exercising influence. Giving mediators / arbitrators more work is one way of bribing without consequence, and itβs rampant.
This episode at the Cal HC being a case in point - https://www.verdictum.in/court-updates/high-courts/arbitrators-non-disclosure-regarding-representing-affiliate-company-in-court-proceedings-raises-real-danger-of-bias-1487150
Good luck with your mediation!

"pathetic and insecure"?
Anyway, enjoy the watch and hope you get the success you want. Cheers!
An LLM from NLU otherwise is considered a wasteful expenditure due to the sheer lack of academic culture in most of these law universities. While there are hardly any other Universities in India which can be good option for LLM for a career in academia.
However, you can by your hardwork turn around this perception, by having a wealth of experience as research assistant & teaching assistant to a well known Professor, by having good publications in well identified and authentic journals, by good grades and by networking.
Academia generally does not pay good in the initial years. So do consider that.
If you are focussing at law firms by doing an LLM, then don't go for LLM at all.
Seems a bit funny from a general counsel perspective.
OP - As a woman, I would say hi, I found your xyz piece quite interesting, would like to chat more if you're interested and have some time. Then see how it goes. All the best!
I have worked both in a law firm and in house. Let me tell you tell you, this rings true for both. My friends have had similar experiences.
Thank you OTT for the stoic wisdom.
1. Sudhir, NLSIU
2. Ranbir Singh, NALSAR and NLUD
3. MP Singh, NUJS
4. Menon, NLSIU and NUJS
5. Mitra, NLSIU and NLUJ
I agree that the total number of seats needs to be increased but if you truly want to learn then just go sit in the class, it isn't that tough.
Btw,is the commenter accusing LI from SILF?
How dare you play down someone's experience just because "you guys" think this may/ may not have happened?
And yes, we do not keep any unencrypted original_ip_address in any database or log files, to the best of our knowledge (because if we intentionally did, what would be the point in going through the effort of encryption?). The original IP is used only to create the emojis, and is not written to any database or file.
In terms of why we go through the effort to store anything at all, even if encrypted: mostly to combat some spammy or malicious comments or bots, so we can block a single emojified IP address that posts a lot of crap in any 24 hour period.
But you're right, ultimately, you kind of have to trust that it works the way we say it does, and that we don't have a reason to want to have access to your personal information such as IP addresses or emails, and we don't want to secretly store such information. But like on any other website on the rest of the internet, the only real defense, if you're really worried, is to use a VPN or Tor, so we never even have access to your IP address in the first place and you don't even have to trust us to not ever store it.
Specifically boutique firms and "smaller platforms" (to quote Mr Shroff) which pay close to a T1 level.
Also it would be very helpful if people from Veritas and ICUL specifically can provide insight into the scope of getting a ppo at the firms.
See which firm did the airport deal. It's a simple Google search.
The land acquisition (issue raised by Mamata) was declared illegal and void by the SC.
Buddhadeb though being a gentleman and an astute politician did not abide by law and accomodated the requests made for allocation of land near Calcutta instead of Kharagpur as was previously decided. He being the CM broke the law. His party men being the terror as they were forced the farmers in giving up the land.
Mamata wasn't wrong in protesting for the rights of poor individuals and the illegalities in the allocation. In the process she got an anti-industry image, also she couldn't been seen allocating fertile (three crop) lands to industry.
Please read more about this issues and at least the legal angle. It's sad even lawyers are making such loose comments based on just the headline of news articles.
( Won't leave law as I also wanted to be a lawyer, I like law but hate the hours)

Is there scam in selection process, as they don't allow RTI on pre and gujrati language test.
Outside Gujarat student fails the exam by 19.5, 18, 19. Because there is minimum marks qualifying criteria of 20.
