clat basically (afaik in my days) used to test mainly your reading comp, your reading speed, your wide vocab and your awareness in general
I belive if you are someone like me (small town, 4/10 education, did not read as a kid) you cannot make up your reading comp, reading speed and vocab in one year. or if you do you will have to mainly focus on practicing speed reading, anki vocab cards (I had like 1-2k). for gk read the hindu columns
remember, people who you are competing w almost always are obsessive readers who have been reading since they were kids, they basically have years of practise above you. do your best. i remember clat prep or something was good, I did cl and even le, and much more. not a lot of diff, at the end you never know what comes in clat. best of luck, I'm rooting for you

Coming to the argument itself, currently 4 out of 11 are UC Hindus. Kohli and Jadeja are Khatriyas (Khatri and Rajput). Iyer and Sharma are obviously Brahmins. I think students of all political orientations need to stop playing victim and embrace civil debate where they discuss differing points of view with each other and their faculty. If there is discrimination you should be able to prove it no? Discrimination cant be " the prof has a political stance also and is vocal about it". Professors have the right to free speech too. it has to be " i am penalised unfairly for my political beliefs when my work is just as good" or " I am not allowed freedom of expression in my classroom".
Regrettably, for female colleagues, this is further marred by harassment. Notably disheartening, despite multiple complaints raised under POSH guidelines, the partner hesitates to dismiss the senior associate, as a culture of quid pro quo alliances over justice.
1. Tamil Nadu is a wealthy industrial state with global reach - Chennai is an Industrial behemoth and it's companies do business across the world. Most students in TNNLU would easily get jobs in Chennai.
Tons of legal jobs in Chennai with relatively low competition. Jobs in Chennai doesn't have national competition which cities like Bangalore/Mumbai has because of the language barrier. More legal jobs will come in Chennai. Chennai has a lot of scope for expansion of its legal market.
2. Lack of quality law schools in Tamil Nadu - most of them are not good, colleges where students are not well versed in English. There is no Symbiosis, Jindal/Private likes. Saveetha and VIT can't match up to other private law schools in the country.
So if any corporation or law firm in Chennai wants to hire - they have only few options - TNNLU, Dr. Ambedkar and Sastra. Employers do have the NLU bias which again helps TNNLU.
3. Money, Government Support - Tamil Nadu government largesse. 150 crore? No big deal for Tamil Nadu government.
4. Very humble students - I have colleagues from TNNLU. Especially tamilians they are very friendly, progressive and hardworking. Never came across arrogant or flashy kids. I would happily hire from TNNLU/DSNLU than Jindal or Top NLU where I have to tolerate arrogant behavior.
