After a major lapse in the implementation of the 75% attendance policy last semester, BCI has given a warning to GNLU to immediately ensure compliance. As an outcome, many students names were withheld from giving regular examinations. Infact one prominent core SAC member was asked to leave the exam in the middle since he chose to sit for the exam without clearing the attendance.
But what we saw later is that while this norm made it difficult for physically disabled students and students with genuine causes, the backdoor approval continued to allow some final year students such as the Convenor of a major committee to clear their names by speaking to the management. This is a gross abuse of power that needs to be checked.
