Bullshit. Gone are those days. If someone is aspiring for a T1 NLU and a T1 law firm they have to be really bright to make it and most T1 firm freshers easily out earn most graduates of any other field.
Lawyers have nothing to do with decision making. No lessons for the clerks.

Do your due diligence like you did
So should I not give it and aim for other NLUs like NALSAR and NUJS ?
You will do just fine. The law school is decent and will soon join tier 2 status in the coming years, especially by the time you graduate. It is easily a better option compared to the other recently established NLU's. In the same league of NLU-O and Nuals.
When my partner left their last firm, their t1 firm was able to remotely wipe their phone, including all personal files, so this isn't entirely impossible. It seems the secure apps do provide such access to the devices.
please name some of them, where the junior has a direct contact with the lawyer/arguing counsel
Yes, that's why only Adani and Ambani can afford to look after their kids and elderly parents.
When you make generalisations such as "all Jindal kids are incompetent and super dumb", you reveal your insecurity and inadequacies rather than theirs. The sooner you figure that out, the quicker you would be able to shut them out and focus on your work.
Finding Karuna Nundy's name on that list reinforced my trust in the judiciary as an institution that values and maintains merit above everything else.
Men in general cheat more than women. Men travelling for work cheat more than Men with desk jobs. The profession individuals are into don't matter that much.
100% of the crores she makes are from commercial matters and she aces it, how is she a human rights lawyers?
Yeah and how are they going to deal with 90% attendance from next year? He already mentioned it in class once
thik hain bhai, tu ab torts ki padhai karne baith 😭
The count of PPOs at GNLU has significantly decreased compared to last year, currently standing at 5, which includes one from Linklaters. CAM has hired 3, and Trilegal has hired 1 so far.

Update on other Unis?
If you're clear you want to be a practicing lawyer at a big law firm, take it eyes closed.
they usually get back within 3-4 days or a week at max, for the Bangalore office atleast.

best of luck to you!
Bhai itna marketing karte to maine jgls students ko bhi nahi dekha πŸ›
I didn't either. And I adapted to law firm life just fine. Why even stop at the university then? Just get people enrolled in army camps from childhood. What ridiculous argument!
Why should the faculty be happy? Are you paying them extra money to do the extra work, because you are afraid to sanction students for any unfair means that they may employ?
So are you claiming that the alum are deliberately choosing NLS students over arguably better suited candidates for their workplace? That would make them people with lousy work ethic.
The same way that NALSAR or any other NLU is. As for you considering it an "ugly college", who died and made you the head of the pan-India institutional aesthetics board?
The VC shouldn't get to choose all by himself how such resources are to be spent, especially when he is relying almost exclusively on student fees to get such resources.
Agreed - they get matters because of their deal teams. Most partners there cannot get matters on their own.
People are choosing to remain single . More so , in Law - be it litigation or corporate.
Is there an unofficial quota for human rights lawyers during designation? And is she the most deserving to get that quota?
The comment isn't factually wrong though. LI is a cesspool of depravity now.
The process is not at all transparent and the final decision would rest with the NLSIU VC. I can say that as someone who had cracked it, and having seen others with proposals equal or better than mine fail.
Doesn't matter whether the students are rich or poor. They are still paying the fees that allow for the salary to be paid. Therefore, arbitrarily choosing to ignore their concerns is a foolhardy administrative move.
Then could you recommend me better professors as advisors from NALSAR especially wef to international law or human rights ?
How is Prof. Syed Ashfaq Hussain in NALSAR ? I've heard he taught in NLS, Korea and Australia. I'm going to NALSAR for my LLM this year. I want to take International Law. Is he a good guide that I can later on work with ?
Hello, I have cleared the AILET PHD entrance exam and submitted the research proposal, it is in field of IPR. Would you suggest me how to prepare for interview as I have barely managed to score 50% in the entrance exam.
Yes. kuch bhi oot-patang comments sunne ke liye taiyar rho agar tier-1 me ja rhe ho. Kisi bhi random chiz ke lie tonk dete hain.

Colour/brands of clothes/water bottle/specs/shoes/bag/smartphone/laptop, Sector-19/27 me rhte ho ya Supernova me.
Mod , why did you accept the thread if you didn’t have to approve the comments? Lame.
Are you a networking pro? Go for option 1. Won't be hard to build connections.

Wallflower? Stick to option 2. Once your base is strong, it would be easy to track sources for feeding you Appellate stage matters
Not at all! Why would you think that πŸ™ƒ Aparna Tuteja represents all that's right in the legal profession, imo!
β€˜Be unpredictable, be flirty, make it very clear that you want her romantically, and then vanish. Get back to work, make her feel good, but always maintain the mystery, unpredictability, and she must at all times be slightly scared of you.’

Toxic boys 101.
Does any company require niche specialized legal professionals who are involved in Taxation, Infrastructure, Project Finance, etc ?
27 M. Work in an apex regulator since 2 yr as an assistant manager.

25k/month - mutual fund

20k/month - other investments (equity )

12k/month - NPS (13k from employer)

1lakh this year - Gold bonds
Cyril Shroff and Co could have gone with his links to Adani. But again Ram Mandir is a political event not very good for corporate networking.

Majority of celebrities went to avoid ED/Income Tax Taids.
is it a good place to intern for 4th year law students? do interns get paid?
Jumping onto this thread (hope you don't mind, OP)

1. How long should one ideally remain at a single chamber, before making a switch?

2. What should be borne in mind when exploring other chambers for openings/ vacancies?
Dear Corp lawyers,

I'm a perfume enthusiast and would love to hear what you wear.

No trolls please!!
I had a ~7 GPA. Didn't really matter and got hired by a huge corporate that went only by GD + interview score
He works for a tier 1, he has enough money, no need to play unnecessary victim cards.
Honestly, working for a Tier 1 you have enough money to buy a car or uber rides. Stop being stingy. You're privileged, use it, instead of driving clients away.
When is the summer vacation at Bombay HC? It's for applying for litigation internship
Imagine trying to take a nap in flights and the like and waking up only to find the stranger next to you smiling at you and wishing you a very good morning at 5PM. It's mostly pain and no gain here.
Wanted a good field that is not Doctor/Engineer and yet has the scope to out earn them. Sweat my ass off and dropped a year to get a T1 law school and consequently a T1 firm.
How is Prof. Syed Ashfaq Hussain in NALSAR ? I've heard he taught in NLS, Korea and Australia. I'm going to NALSAR for my LLM this year. I want to take International Law. Is he a good guide that I can later on work under ?
One of the best mentors and leaders. I am a fool I got misguided and left her a few years back. Always gives juniors the credit and platform to grow. Unlike the other most insecured top tier in the team.
She is now on a month long honeymoon across Europe. Not sure if self sponsored or by family. Doesn’t really have airs or anything and does not live in SoBo either.
Equity partners are rich but they are not important in politics. Litigators, particularly those who play it right, matter.
And they pay you just 20k a month for all of that?🀣🀣
Don't know why you're getting down voted, even 10 lakhs a month wouldn't suffice is someone has kids and elderly to take care of
To make money, so I can buy nice things.

I like nice things. Nice things cost money.
The Enfield is awesome. She can go jump. Find a firm that suits your style, not the other way around.
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha! This is the best thing I've read today! And I’ve read over 15 SLP’s since 7 AM.
Because no matter what feminists and wokes tell you, at the end of the day girls are attracted to looks and also want stability and security, which comes through money or muscles.
Brother follow Linkedin and get connected to all presents law researchers and clerks attached to judges. Usually they only post about vacancies in the judges chamber. It will be easy for identification of these jobs if you expand your network connection on Linkedin.
Can someone tell me about HNLU foreign exchange program which University it has collaborated with and what's the procedure in detail

Thnx !
is this real? can others confirm that this sort of thing really happens? as someone set to join a t1 in mumbai this year, i am a little confused as to whether this is real
Why is linkelgal taking so many interns in the promise of assessment?
what the fuck? as a girl, i am very very very concerned. she "must at all times be slightly scared of you!?!?"
The question is- for personal care products do we need to conduct in vivo clinical studies or trials or instrumental studies alone is sufficient
Do law firms hire Non-NLU people via job applications? Because campus placements in GLCs are abysmal and I don't think an NLU will set foot there
Views on Linklegal having 30-40 assessment interns per month
I secured a rank of 46X and after seeing the 3rd allotment list i might not get gnlu through general counselling......let's hope gnlu releases some vacancies this year
Oh god the entitlement. Do you think NLS wouldnt have any students if the rich entitled brats left? Its the best law school in the country- theyll find students. and the reason youre giving sudhir and faculty your money is because they know shit you dont.
What would be more preferable:

1. Starting litigation in a tier 1 city with a HC.

2. Starting practice at tier 1 city with no HC but better contacts/ easier to build own name.
50x oversubscribed so far

Solid demand from QIBs which shows it not a mere retail frenzy

Waiting for the people were crying on this thread to share their hot takes, it has been a slow week
Worked opposite them on a transaction. Seemed like decent lawyers. Pay and all no clue.
4 ex CJIs- JS Khehar, VN Khare, NV Ramana and UU Lalit along with former SC judges like Arun Mishra Ashok Bhushan Adarsh Goel Anil Dave etc + Former Law minister and a dozen prominent lawyers were there. No one cares about law firm partners.
During my interning days, used to wear black sports shoes almost similar to formals. I mean I am a size UK13 and they don't make them in India everywhere. Was picked up by a partner and asked to change it asap. Got them handmade at Dharavi😊
Is this the template you use?

[X Happened], [No lawyers/NLS alumni invited to X], [sad/is law worth it?/is this the end of NLS hegemony?]
Long overdue but never late then never.

A win for women.

A win for human rights litigators.

A win for human rights generally.

Shows you can reach the top without chasing money and corp clients.

You go girl!
How many days does IRCCL take to publish the article on website after acceptance?
last i heard Gurgaon team has way less work and i dont think they pay well. but can be considered if thats the only option
Hello, I am in 1st year at the moment, would you recommend me doing cs just for the knowledge part as you mentioned
ladki ki ha m ha n na me na milao keeping aside your male ego, self identity...saari ladkiya pat jayegi
Having worked here I am pretty sure this language would have come from one of the partners. Now you can very well guess about the culture at the place.
To be Frank, SAs are not that great. And nothing more yaar, just a bad place to work at. Avoid.
