The Supreme Court just designated many seniors including Haripriya Padmanabhan - this makes a first for the Supreme Court with her husband Gopal Sankaranarayanan designated 5 years ago. There are other couples who have been designated before, but one or other of them would be from a High Court. Great credit to her for being a mother of 3, not an advocate on record (a pure arguing counsel) and for having made it the hard way without being a social media staple. Also maybe a matter of credit to NLS - a first for the University. She was 1998 and he was 2001.

Will LI readers stop romanticizing this couple ? Along with this over-glorified couple 56 other advocates have been designated.

I am 200% sure this reiteration of name of this couple along with few other names is deliberately being done either by one of their juniors , or their bootlicker or they themselves do it (not to mention how hungry he is for attention).

To me, the greatest good news is to see name of simple man "Pijush Kanti Roy" , Archana Pathak Dave , Liz Matthew and NS Nappinai among others.

LI readership is full of bloke , inexperienced , corporate enthusiat law students who barely have spent any time in Supreme Court , Delhi High Court or Bombay HC to take into consideration any other name.

Genius is someone who is ahead of his time . Being genius involves being innovative. In Law, Upendra Baxi would be a close living example of a genius. While this attention-seeking couple is clearly not!
