We want LI to be one of the friendliest places on the internet, where lawyers and law students help each other with their career related queries and occasionally discuss other stuff that might affect their lives too. In other words:
1. Be kind, respectful and helpful to each other.
2. Be bona fide, truthful, genuine and curious.
3. Assume the best intention of others.

Something will work out I'm sure
- from an associate who is long suffering from a single T1 partner with no relationship and a desire to stay in office till 11:30 pm on a Friday night - when there is no deadline
What did he do to you? I'm curious. What's your story?
I do have some questions for you to consider:
1. Which "reputed law firm" lets you run off to your home town on weekends and lets you leave at 7 p.m. on a regular basis? Considering the 20,000 posts on LI whingeing about late hours and no WLB, this firm sounds imaginary. If it is real, then hang onto this job, buddy. On the other hand, if it is real, then your honeymoon period might be coming to an end quite soon and errant office romances will be the least of your worries :)
2. Which "reputed firm" is comfortable with its associates locking up the office (at 8.30 p.m. or otherwise)? Or are you trying to pass off a Tis Hazari chamber as a "reputed law firm"?
3. You claim that you are in a "full on" committed relationship with your older female companion, and that she's "all over" your "office life". Ergo, she clearly spends a lot of time with you. Have you considered that maybe she REALLY likes you? In which case, how are you thinking of ending the relationship basis hearsay that she's promiscuous?
4. Hanging around with a ton of guys doesn't mean she's promiscuous. To quote a character from my favourite TV show - "I've had drinks at the Soviet embassy. That doesn't make me a Russian spy."
5. Spending weekends with your partner is a given if you're in a relationship (of your choosing, I might add). Just because she works in the same firm as you doesn't mean she'll conveniently vanish on days the office is shut. That's not how relationships work.
Just a few more questions: -
1) Any idea about the Mumbai equivalent of NK/ MS? Basically any Partner who you may be okay with working for considering how they are divided into Corp 1,2,3 etc. and it is just a mess overall?
2) Would you suggest applying to BA/NK etc. directly, or via a headhunter?
(I am an A2 at a super boutique corp firm, looking to hopefully pivot to a bigger place now)
Thank you once again :)
Guys AND girls tend to approach them, talk to them, completely ignoring me. I am seen, heard only when we are discussing something related to law or academic/ research pursuits. I am pretty decent at that, and contribute significantly to such discussions. [Note: others in my peer group, including the really good looking ones also participate in such discussions in a healthy manner. Beauty and brains need not be mutually exclusive]
The wilfully-being-ignored thing sucks. Those like us, who are not blessed in the looks department, irrespective of our gender, have to make peace with our reality.
Don't ask the world to take a dump on you.
The world is gonna do that even without your asking.
Grin and bear the tag of 'not-really-sight-for-sore-eyes'.
Strive for excellence in your work, because that's something which helps people like us establish and maintain some degree of relevance.
Just shows that all this campus activism on social justice is a fake trend.
I have interned continuously for the past two months, both call-backs, but I don't know what is happening. Firms have indicated they'll take time because of the volume of applications. I live in constant anxiety especially because dayz is in August. I cannot rely a lot on dayz since my academic record is very mediocre.
Therefore, I want to prepare myself mentally for the worst case- which is graduating without a job. How bad is it? Especially when I knoe through internships that litigation is not the avenue for me, and I do not have the financial support for an LLM abroad.
So my options now are tnnlu , Christ or sastra.
I've heard a lot about the former 2 but couldn't find anything relevant to the latter only reason I've added sastra to my options is cuz of its proximity and I could be a day scholar. Any alumni of sastra here who could give me the general picture ?
And it's not just me, all sincere and intelligent students agree that he teaches well.
Formal full sleeve shirt and trousers.

THE logic (your use of the singular is both cute and telling) is that you obviously hate single people for reasons unknown to us, which I am speculating is your incelness. So every time A single person behaves in ways you don't like, you decide that it must be because of their singleness. It might be because they have acidity, or insecurity or that they are assholes but that wouldn't serve your hatred of single women.
ideally, avoid this place, some of the associates are so toxic would have asked you to work late nights regularly and even on weekends!
Man, get some life, live, and let your interns live their lives peacefully after office.
Ideally, you will learn a lot of core tech law works, but would make you work so much that you will burn out
- Someone who left nujs last year, appeared for clat again and got into a much better NLU
If someone cannot disclose how they're using your data, never trust them
All the best!
Wow what a logic. And criticizing a person is not because one wants to do hanky panky with them Hahaha.
fox AND mandal and FM Associates (Bangalore hq) are the other ones
Realistically 5 assessment interns maybe= 1 associate. Except they are not billed out.
In terms of luxury, yes Rolex, Patek, AP and the Dalai Lama Patek (pocket watch). But a collector will never buy it because it is luxury.
Speedmaster is a great watch (but too big on my wrist), but I fail to understand if someone likes speedmaster for its history why will they also not buy Bulova (600/700 dollars) and both these watches were on the moon. Fun fact - look at Bulova’s movement frequency doesn’t look like quartz (but it is quartz).
