1. Most of the students who are enrolled in coaching face this issue of lack of personalised attention and guidance. Classes are held in a group of hundreds and you are nothing but a potential rank holder for them and they won't give a thought about you if you fail to score well consistently in the coaching's mocks. You have no person to reach out to in case you have a specific doubt in a specific question of a particular mock and this prevents you from achieving conceptual clarity. But in the case of NLTI, the students are divided into nuclear groups of 8 and each mentor has a maximum of 30 mentees. This solves this problem of lack of personalised attention because the mentor personally keeps all his/her mentees accountable. The mentors are available promptly via telegram chat and you can ask them ANY question at any point of the day - be it strategic, mock related or generally also if you are feeling low or hopeless.

When I say the volume of work is not high, that does not imply that people who have work are sitting idle and just eating salaries, ofcourse they are busy and have lots to deal with.
Insert -> Text-> Quick Parts-> Document Property.
There are default headings which you cant change like COMPANY, TITLE, FAX.
I just inserted these wherever details change and then change the headings by inserting what i want them to insert. Like DT Name, DT Address, CIN, etc.
Hence changing in one place will reflect wherever youve inserted the document property insertion.
Its a pain setting up. But makes life easier in the long run.
This person has always been against corruption and has never pursued money. He was a PCS officer but left his job and pursued Law because he had to bow down to corrupted Left leaders as a PCS officer. Then he went into litigation but left his litigation practice for judiciary and now it's time for him to get into real politics where he can actually make a change!
You can call him biased, you can call his method radical, you can call his decisions bad in law bur for lakhs of aspirants who are protesting for years, he is a God.
The other people I know in litigation who have not gone independent but have a good WLB work at offices which are really relaxed and prioritise health/WLB over work. Which, in my opinion, is the way things should be. But those offices are rare.
This job will take everything from you. Give something back to yourself too. Not everything in life needs to go by a rulebook.
How well litigation is going for you?
I want to switch to litigation from corporate (24 aged) - tired from this desk job.
My end-goal is to have a private practice. Willing to take a pay cut - do you think litigation is doable for a first-generation like me?
I know it's a personal choice, but want to hear your genuine thoughts on litigation. LI seems a bit prejudiced towards litigation.
2-3 hours a day giving you 4 lakhs a month? This is impossible even for trading.
So it's settled then: I will say "girls" and not "women" or "ladies".

There was extreme pressure to perform well in NLS in the past. It was a small batch with less than 80 people..
Now your batch size is 400 will soon beat Jindal and all third rated private colleges.
So even if you fail in NLS - nobody cares.
Also any leads on the partners in hyderabad and bangalore for corporate?
So I guess you will have to wait for a while.
Others can correct me if I am wrong.
ILSβs placements are bad, really really bad and it will make you suffer with their 75% attendance criteria. Itβs in pune so the exposure is also very very limited.
Go to GLC
Great initiative, the same should be replicated in other colleges also.
Also for op - buddy will you take responsibility for medical expenses etc for anyone who's ever bitten by your beloved strays ?
Cannot speak for all the people working there but arrogant seniors who'll make you work for hours on grunt work with 0 pay etc. Learning opportunities are not great since you'll be more concerned about the 'mandatory submissions' (in order to get an internship certificate) than actually working on the given task.
Final year interns are assessed and there are chances of PPO if you get good reviews.
No Stipend. If hired, I doubt the pay would be enough to pay for therapy which you might need after working there.

CBI told off by the WBP and it meekly accepted! The way EC/CBI are conducting themselves in the Cal HC, it is clear to everyone that there is some sort of unholy deal between New Uncle and Dear Aunt (WB). But kudos to the latter for not rolling over (yet) like the other Aunt from UP.
Caveat - My experience is only for internships secured through the recruitment committee. One of my batchmates had applied through personal application and they never got a response on their call back.
For someone who has seen in the court how the ED has been messing up the investigation concerning Leaps and Bounds despite repeated cautions and queries by Justice Sinha, I wonder what JAG is going to do about this "setting" between Dear Leader and Dear Aunt.
Irrespective of political sympathies or even someone of apolitical persuasion anyone in the HC will tell you that "setting" is very real. A few more disposable politicians and rooks will become fall guys. But that's about it.
The work pressure will anyway not let you avail those 16 day leaves also if your collegause is out they prefer another person do not take a leave.
Working hours - easy 12+ on an average day - at least when I worked there and also from what is been told from a current friend.
Their pay is undoubtedly decent but that is because they make you work for two people. Keep less people pay a little more.
Team is small with alternate wfh days - work life balance - well just work - neither work balance nor life.
You will get free booze and pizza parties for staying up late and working. Answering one of the Qs below - Corp team does exist but they are known for Tech/ fin laws. SO you can place your bets there.
India will have to craft its own response. And that begins with a clear change in how legal cultures understand rape and why it should be punished in whatever way as mandated by law.
JAG is getting baited. But BJP should be smarter. It should instead allow ISF to front the battle. It will look lame if JAG stands from DH but is also given Tamluk as a cushion. If the BJP was ever really interested in creating the infrastructure for winning ground-up then it should have neutralized Rezzak and the extended clan by now.
This ED/CBI things cannot fully cover the organisational deficiency. Cannot wing everything, every time. GOP swept everywhere post-Indira assassination. Even CPI(M) suffered some shock defeats. But GOP couldn't dislodge Left due to poor grassroots organisational strength. Also those manning GOP then in WB were a corrupt lot.
Dear Aunt knows all of it. So do not underestimate her memory. I detest her. But I have to give her due credits as a politician (honesty, probity et al are overrated).
Why does India continue to criminalize certain kinds of grass?
Beyond A2 level, you are in the thick of things - drafting pleadings, preparing briefing notes, leading conferences. It is not as action packed as those in Litigation chambers but the money and stability makes up for it.
The outbursts of KB today in the TMC press conference increasingly looked like that the party was spooked and for KB personally, it was a case of sour grapes.
Now media reports that the state immediately appealed before the SC. But the latter declined and instead asked it to approach the Registrar General. No stay order was issued by the SC. How can the state claim that just because it has approached the SC therefore it is empowered to ignore the Cal HC order and tell off CBI?
There was a Justice Khanna then. And his nephew now.
Itβs so sad that βeducatedβ NLU students think like this. No wonder NLUs have become such toxic places.

1. A new Skoda/Honda car will last you 8 years without any problem. The luxury car will probably be 5-7 years old already, its problem-free lifecycle is almost over. The remaining 8 years will be full of some or the other issue - AC, power windows, gearbox, clutch, etc.
2. Each time there is an issue, it is going to cost a bomb. Even a broken side mirror will cost you 30k for an Audi, windshield wipers for 20k.
3. You'll always feel it's second hand. If paying for something in lakhs, why not feel like it's fully yours!
4. People don't give two hoots about what car you drive. They only care about themselves. Spend that extra money on something nicer and meaningful for yourself!
1) Would you guys recommend joining S&R?' and
2) What would the final verdict be, can anyone please paint an honest picture as to what is happening at the Mumbai office especially?
Would be really helpful to get some insights, thanks!
Any partners at ELP, LKS, SAM/CAM, DMD Adv, Saraf, Khaitan, or NDA to especially look out for? Also, how is the Trilegal [del/bom] tax team?
I think flowers would be acceptable? But what to give along with it? Chocolate?
Ive done this for all the data that will change between transactions.
I hope this what he meant. LMK what y'all think

Those who are in litigation, how are you managing everything?
You cannot take disciplinary actions against any student for improving standards.
You have to resign to the fact that more than half of the batch will be apathetic towards learning in general and law in particular.
You will have to shamelessly do PR for the University.
