Btw the journal is "LusPorpus Law Journal", IJL______ (insert anything here) These journals on LinkedIn are ruining first years by making them delusional. The students just copy-paste things from ChatGPT then add some citations from JSTOR or other sources, paraphrase the plagiarized text shown by Turnitin using quillBot and poof! you're getting published in a "peer reviewed journal".
No one asks the follow up question at an election rally. How ? What are your plans ? What is your economic strategy?
I know both sidesing this issue makes us feel like our actions donβt have consequences and there is no moral clarity to be found. But itβs just not true that both sides are doing the same thing at all.
You want a good university ? You want your degree to mean something ? You have to hold yourself accountable and be the best versions of yourself. There was a time when sub par faculty were given poor feedback and students even petitioned to get them removed. The situation is almost opposite today- electives offered by sub par faculty get filled up cause easy grades and weβve come to adopt an insane anti-meritocratic attitude where identity is destiny. We have been coasting on the brand without adding to it.
it's upsetting that the entire student body had to unite to fight this just because we have no one to fight for us against the admin.
anyway, congrats jindalites! we did it.
A lot of this is no doubt related to the culture wars on campus, but the truth is that you need to suck up to the management irrespective of whichever ideology you are. Notwithstanding the newfound BJP Bhakti, some left-wing profs have been appointed to their admin roles because of their proximity to the management.

Don't have to worry about being rude (you don't have to be). In any case, it will help them in the next internship or when they become an associate.
Lastly, as part of Tie I firm, I never expected interns to deliver exceptional work, they are students after all. In just bore in mind the time when I was an intern and the level of limited understanding I had regarding work products.

You guys are the best law school in India now.
NLS is racing hard to become the next Jindal Law School by taking hundreds of students and Diploma Mill.
Soon even tier 3 NLU's will have better placements than NLS
I have even seen Pa's asking out fresher AO's and even ending up dating and marrying them.
Generally women prefer older men or of same age and never younger guys as they expect more maturity, income in men.
You can apply at IFF, NITI Aayog, SFLC, ESYA, NLUD-CCG, or you can apply to intern under MP's as well.
this is absolutely ridiculous and an an egregious violation of the individual rights of the students.
i donβt know how much the student life and liberty can degrade at this university.

Btw, which are these scam journals which you are referring to? Just curious.
I would really request people who have done policy work to share some names of the organisations I should apply at and the requisites that I must qualify (if any).
Second, stick to feedback about work. No personal attacks.
Third. Direction. Create an actual path and learning schedule to improve them. Can't type? There are websites. Can't read? Read a book/newspaper everyday. Can't speak? Help them join a club.
This is a pivotal moment not just for the intern, but also for you. The impression they carry will remain etched for years, and will also become your market reputation. Take genuine interest in their growth, and they will help you grow.
Please refrain from mentioning those 1000rs publication journals that publishes chatgpt content.
Who will cry when you die?
The above books should be gifted to all corporate lawyers.
People who initially failed to get into good T1/T2 jobs due to being from low level college or average CV etc .. please do share your stories, how you're doing nowadays.
I'm in this situation right now so it'd be helpful.
All this talk about Gen Z and stuff, but why are partners like you so touchy?
Iβve scored an interview with a firm that regularly does PE/VC work. What should I study for the interview? How do I convince them to hire me?
1. Love for the work - Someone really wants to work as a transaction lawyer in M&A/PE-VC/Capital Markets team and enjoy the glamour and perks associated with it.
2. Pay - A law firm partner in big law would earn at least 5 to 6 times more than their batchmates in SEBI (ask anyone from NUJS 2007 batch in CAM & SEBI).
3. Bad boss - Not all departments/bosses may be good and the same may leave a bitter taste (equally applicable for law firms).
4. Stagnation - Career growth is much slower in a Government department (where there is no Assured Career Progression) with little or no incentive for outperformance thereby reducing the sharpness of a professional over the years.
5. Futuristic - There may be more lateral movements in Government organisations from the private sector (at very senior levels) in the coming years.
A piece of advice for the OP from a person who has spent one and half decades in the industry - be it law firms or SEBI, try to be the most hardworking person in the room and your college/grades would not matter within a period of 3 to 4 years.
Keep dreaming and keep hoping!
Countries are entering recession and Joe biden is himself inviting illegal immigrants to his own country destroying its culture and infra. Morever guy is like Rahul Gandhi and is very weak.
Trump may win easily this time.
Furthermore my State Bar Council is asking for COP copy for mandatory verification
I am a citizen of India and a law graduate with a year exp in a local firm , I'd like to work in an international law firm and would like to understand the road map , should I get an llm from uae or a licence or internship
NLUs are VC driven institutes. Nalsar led by Ranvir Singh and recently Faizan Mustafa deserve similar persons. Present VC could be apt to be an office superintendent not leader of India's top law school.
Students should demand change of VC. Nalsar is indeed going down with each passing day. A good VC at NLS making all the difference. The difference and distance between NLS Bangalore and other NLUs including Nalsar is much more now.
Trading time for money.
What I really don't understand is AB getting blank cheques to lie through his teeth and still not attract attract contempt. Why this indulgence? What does he know about judges that IB doesn't know?
Or what about certain stalwarts recently made senior advocates by the SC? What about CJI himself? or the Chancellor/CJ of HC?
he has some good insights, and he copied and reused a lot of viral content which is a common strategy for a lot of influencers
Nobody thinks anything of Jay Shetty apart from liking a few of his posts
Guardian article is a big nothingburger
With that being said, we mustn't forget that the 'law of the land' comes only into play after the crime. Until then, it's all about how we engage with the 'laws of nature.' Here's putting this in context:

Humans are complex beings, as we all know. Very different from the tiger π¦ you just saw in that video! The male gaze and what one can come to expect from it can differ from culture to culture and from environment to environment. Denying ourselves this fact will bring undesirable consequences. Because, in doing so, you are effectively challenging the wrath of Mother Nature. Evolution is no doubt an intrinsic part of the human spirit, but make no mistake - different societies have made different strides from barbarism.
Happy women's day everyone! Take men along by winning and not trashing them. Remember you are part of the same team!
I was thinking that I would just let it be without saying anything to them but I don't think that is correct.
Thanks for all the inputs that you people provided here. I appreciate em' all!
Can someone guide me as to the nature of work in a disputes team in a law firm for someone joining as a fresher.
I am good at legal research and maybe little bit of legal writing here and there. But I don't know what I will be expected to do in my new role. How to prepare for it. Please help me out.
Will I be expected to draft SLPs, WP, etc. I am afraid I have not even drafted a legal notice in my life.
Any tips/ guidance would help a lot.
Thanks. Bye
