That is absolute rubbish. Batch rank and the college one is from still matters to a large extent at the fresher level, any internship work is disregarded.
??????
All I got here was trolling nobody noticed the actual thing that I have seen.

On the contrary (fortunately), I had a pleasant interaction with all the associates I worked with and they were quite appreciative of my work too. I guess it depends (like everything else in this industry)
I urge readers to shed some light on this matter. I find myself in a similar, if not worse, predicament. It's an incredibly draining experience, and I feel terrible.
the level of conscience on this post is abysmally low.
wait and watch what will happen to you all who support this type of thought and behaviour.
infinite curses fall upon you and destroy you.

I also heard that names for the search committee might be drawn from the following list:
1. Justice Dipankar Datta (Chancellor’s nominee)
2. Kishore Datta (Advocate General)
3. Justice (retd) Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya (Chairperson of WB Human Rights Commission and former judge of Calcutta High Court)
4. Sanjay Basu (Standing counsel for WB, founder of Aquilaw and new owner of Ei Samay newspaper).
5. Mr Amitesh Banerjee (Senior Advocate and Standing Counsel for WB)
1. Lack of SAs - PAs (SA4+)
2. No proper practice head
3. There aren't good seniors to guide associates
4. Partners are involved with themselves only - their work
5. Intervention from zia
6. Uncertainty about their relationship with Axiom5
Having said that, Ram, Hemangini and Bharat are top class. Leading names in the field.
This seems a bit too high, if pre-tax. If you earn 20 crores a year, after tax at 33.33% (for ease of calculations, tax can be higher), you are left with 13.33 crores. I doubt even in good years, any of them is close to crossing 20 crores pre-tax, so the idea that any of them gets 15 crores post tax is verging on the edge of fanciful. Life has surely changed, but not that much.
Hone se koi farak nahi padhta. Kyunki koi international firms tumhe job dene nahi wali hai, I guarantee it. Farhanitrate and Prerajulisation. Please give them a big hand.
Can anyone with decent understanding of finance and investment guide me what amount of money would I be able to invest in SIPs at all levels As - SAs - PAs - Partner - Equity Partner.
I believe I won't be able to meet 1.5L per month before becoming an SA.
PS: please consider other factors, such as wedding, children etc as constant. My living expenditure are 40k per month at higher end.
I've messaged so many professionals on LinkedIn about the scope of getting a job there, so far, so bleak.
It's been 4 months now and although I'm quite satisfied with the exposure and learning curve, I'm very dissatisfied with the pay. It honestly isn't even enough to cover rent + household expenses + daily court travel expenses. My previous savings are being depleted so I'm thinking of switching now.
I'd like to stay here for the litigation exposure but I don't like living like a miser who has to think thrice before spending money when I'm with friends.
Would it look bad on my CV & during interviews if I quit my current job just 4 months in? Should I apply to Dispute Resolution teams of smaller firms?
What happened?
SJA can feign surprise etc. And once the announcement is made, SJA will stage some pre-scripted opposition as well.
For salaried partners without their own books, the retainership can go up to 1.5 crores in Trilegal and KCO. The number for Senior Partners in teams with high deal volumes can at the minimum earn 5-6 crores per annum.
Argus Delhi A2?
tldr; you learn a lot, you work a lot, good work life balance
We have locked eyes multiple times, I really want to talk to her and ask her out, but due to all this professional set up I have never approached her.
Can someone please share this with her.
P.S. the mods should take note of this and avoid moderating/publishing such one word answers which don't solve the query or further the purpose of this forum
I’ve been hearing very diverging opinions about career prospects in law. On one hand, I came across an alum from my law faculty working at Trilegal, which is quite encouraging. On the other hand, I’ve also seen someone who is struggling to secure a job at a law firm and is now considering leaving the legal profession altogether. To add to my confusion, I saw a Tier 1 NLU grad advising against pursuing law unless you come from a well-connected family, while a Tier 2 NLU student mentioned sitting at home due to lack of opportunities.
My concern is that I can’t afford to be jobless after 3 years. My family is already pushing me toward a government job, but I’m still interested in law. I’m also considering pursuing the Company Secretary (CS) course along with my LLB.
So, my main questions are:
1. Should I go ahead with pursuing my LLB from DU if job security is a priority?
2. Will adding a CS qualification help me secure a job at a law firm or improve my prospects?
I’d really appreciate any advice or insights. Thank you!
Further, I’d think boutiques with relatively good practices would certainly require these loans and other financial services such as corporate banking etc. Are you aware of any such boutiques and the services they use?
Also wondering the same because to many, interest payments/fees on these services will be a turn off. But like with any business, you need credit to grow and expand - would the same logic apply to independent practices and boutiques+T1s+T2s?
