I put all my eggs in 2-3 baskets, nothing worked out. As a non-NLU grad, I am finding it difficult to start again and apply to firms/policy orgs with personalized CV and sample work and follow-up persistently. Do you think I should give CLAT PG while somehow recovering from loop of procrastination or should I look towards competitive exams? What about start-ups such as SAMA, do you think it is better to explore such options while simultaneously preparing for competitive exams? Questions such as "What you are doing" are becoming difficult to face.

a) top 5 NLUs can only provide jobs to about a third of their cohort (the placement numbers do not show how many total students were there in the batch, they would only say how many students sat for the placement process and there are lots of massaging of denominator there)

b) law schools cannot provide jobs for all those who want, it depends immensely on the chutzpah of the candidate. Even then there so many factors that only about a quarter of all applicants get a job in a law firm.

c) if you want a job or a modicum of chance of a job after a degree, you may consider doing an MBA, I know this is an often mocked suggestion, but it is possible to get a job at 30k pm at a bank after mba which is not possible after llb. So, if it is the first job that you are after and you do not want to stay in law then MBA is the only option.

d) if you want to stay in law then doing llm is not going to add any employability value. It would be better if you just be a junior under a decent senior (decent does not mean that thay will pay you, decent means they will not abuse you and give you a chance to fill out vakalatnama once in a while), stay with them for one year gain experience and then strike it out alone.
