Do you solemnly agree to all of the above?
I’ve been hearing very diverging opinions about career prospects in law. On one hand, I came across an alum from my law faculty working at Trilegal, which is quite encouraging. On the other hand, I’ve also seen someone who is struggling to secure a job at a law firm and is now considering leaving the legal profession altogether. To add to my confusion, I saw a Tier 1 NLU grad advising against pursuing law unless you come from a well-connected family, while a Tier 2 NLU student mentioned sitting at home due to lack of opportunities.
My concern is that I can’t afford to be jobless after 3 years. My family is already pushing me toward a government job, but I’m still interested in law. I’m also considering pursuing the Company Secretary (CS) course along with my LLB.
So, my main questions are:
1. Should I go ahead with pursuing my LLB from DU if job security is a priority?
2. Will adding a CS qualification help me secure a job at a law firm or improve my prospects?
